A list of puns related to "Halogen Bulb"
Sorry if this has been asked before but Iβm looking at replacing my dim bulbs for my car, looking at trying to find ones with good night time visibility and preferably a white light. Any help is appreciated!
I personally feel the halogens are far too dim, but apparently you can't install them on a car that didn't have them originally. Is there a brightness that may be okay?
There are too many options out there so I figured I would start asking around to see what brands and spec of LEDs are good for the E60 main bulbs and the halo lights.
I got the basic lighting package and I've hated it since I got it. I need to replace the bulbs on my headlights soon anyways, and I was wondering if anyone had done a replacement of the housing to run HID instead, and if anyone could recommend ones that don't mess with the electronics of the car (I read a few places that some of them make the car throw faults every time?). Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I may not have been clear. I'm asking about fully replacing the headlight assembly with an aftermarket upgraded one. I just was wondering if anyone had done one before, and which ones work well and which don't, if there are any issues they tend to cause etc. Also, why all the assemblies are sold out right now? The first few sites I saw were completely sold out.
Hello Saabers, I was recently looking around the internet for what halogen bulbs to buy for my NG 9-3 β08. I live in Sweden and here it looks like H7 is the standard for low beam and H9 for high beam, so thatβs what I bought. However, I have the USA-headlamps and when I was about to change I noticed that it was indeed not H7 low beams or H9 high beams.
It looked like it was a H11 low beam and H7 high beam. Is this the case in the US? Donβt wanna buy the wrong one againβ¦
Thanks!
Ive been looking into some different lighting options for my guy and I came across halogen bulbs. Are they safe? Do they give him what he needs? I saw that theyβre economic but sites were vague on the actual benefits of them. Please let me know!
Is it better to provide a reptile with a heating source like halogen bulb that provides infared A and B vs. Something like a ceramic heat Emitter that only provides infared C?
Iβve been getting increasingly frustrated lately over heating my 4x2x2. I used to use generic floodlight bulbs until they disappeared from all the shops. Then I had to use reptile-specific basking bulbs instead. And Iβm yet to find anything that works as well in terms of heat and light output, efficiency, and longevity.
Iβve just had an Arcadia basking bulb go out after just a few weeks- supposedly the best quality brand available. Likewise, all the other reptile-specific brands Iβve tried have died or malfunctioned before their life time, or just been incredibly incredibly inefficient.
Iβm fed up at this point.
Running a CHE, a 150w heat bulb, and a 100w basking bulb simultaneously, I am still only just reaching upper 30s, which is not at all ideal.
Lots of electricity, multiple high-wattage bulbs, 3-4 dome fixtures, and bulbs that cost around Β£10 each and last only a month or two. I need a new solution.
As you probably know, the UK and the EU have been slowly banning different kinds of bulbs deemed βinefficientβ and replacing everything with LEDs. First it was Incandescents, then it was Halogens (and fluorescent tubes.) These have been used for years as a better alternative to the reptile-specific ones, especially for their production of heat and light.
With most mid-day full sun basking species, a generic brand Halogen PAR38 75-100Watt bulb is usually perfect for achieving optimal temperatures with nice light quality and plenty of visible light.
And I know why they arenβt available anymore, but itβs incredibly frustrating when you canβt find a bulb half as good. Even purpose made bulbs.
Iβve tried buying them everywhere locally, and Iβve tried buying them online, with no success.
So if any of you know where to find a ES 26 or 27 bulb that can reach around 40 degrees within 10-18 inches let me know. Or if you have any other suggestions.
Thanks,
Hi everyone, I have a chandelier in our foyer thatβs on a Caseta wireless switch (PD-5ANS, I believe). Historically it has worked fine but we noticed that with some consistency, the breaker would trip when we used it on a routine turning lights on across the house.
We discovered that the chandelier was using 60W G-9 halogen bulbs (5 of them) so one thought was to replace with LEDs (a thought that was then validated by our electrician). The previous owners of the house put halogens all over the place so replacing them has been a mission of ours.
Iβve managed to replace the halogens in the chandelier with 5 6W G-9 LEDs but now the Caseta isnβt behaving. Flashes red with the bulbs lit at a very dim setting. Hitting the power on button lights them up fully (with the red light still blinking). The only way to turn them off fully is to pull the tab on the switch.
Googling has turned up a handful of potential issues - including the load from the bulbs not meeting the minimum requirements for the switch. Is that real? Is there a solution so I donβt have to go back halogens and/or donβt have to change something at the fixture level?
Thanks!
Hi All,
I have an β19 S trim which comes stock with the Halogen headlight setup. The yellow really drives me nuts compared to the white LEDs for the DRLs and fog lights. I would eventually like to get the replica assemblies of the originals found on the higher trims, but for now I was thinking maybe just a whiter bulb to match? Has anyone done this? What is the part number/bulb size and type?
