A list of puns related to "Formwork"
Hi I'm an apprentice Carpenter in the UK when I finish my apprenticeship hopefully 3 years I'd like to Try and become a shuttering Carpenter but what's the best route on getting a job in that sector There is no local college course for it and I don't have contacts with anyone who does that type of work.
Hello, I am on my second week with the union and I am assigned to remove formwork. I currently use a estwing hammer but it honestly sucks. I need a hammer meant for hitting metal but also nothing too heavy since I am swinging at weird angles. My right forearm and fingers are sore, thankfully for the upcoming 2 weeks, I have school so it gives me time to rest my arm. Any suggestions and advise would be much appreciated.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CONCRETE FORMWORK BOOK?
I MUST KNOW!!!!
My question is specifically about which angle is best to cut my 2x4 at for ease of stripping. I don't see them often but what I have seen I think is a rip at maybe a 30 degree angle down either side of the board.
Can someone please clarify?
I'm building unit prices for different concrete items, but I'm in a bind when it comes to form work cost, especially the labor involved. So I consulted with the RS Means book and I'm coming up with $11.89 per SF of form face area which to me is too high. I'm using their C2 crew that includes 6 guys total and a daily output of 450 SFCA per day. I know RS Means is not always reliable, but where else can i find that type of data. Any input would be much appreciated.
