A list of puns related to "Footman"
Iβm newish to the game (level 30) and this isnβt a complaint post, Iβm genuinely asking because I feel like Iβm missing something.
I played footman til level 17 to unlock all weapons, and I donβt plan on touching the class ever again.
The weapons are allβ¦ underwhelming. All the long pole weapons are so weak and dainty (besides the spear, but Iβm not a fan of using spears). The class with the shovel and hammer are fun to fuck around with but thatβs it. Shield weapons are all fine but if thatβs the route Iβm going Iβll just be a knight.
I HATE the little health packs you throw. I would 100% rather have fire, or a horn, or a banner. All are so much better itβs not even funny.
I know this class has walls and traps to build, but those are hardly ever relevant unless there was a large group of you using them together
What am I missing?
And also how do I heal myself?
Piggy-backing of u/ALongNeckTurtle's post and u/CollanderShoes's comment.
I think a fourth sub-class could work well.
Has a sling as main weapon. The sling could function as follows:
Secondry weapon could be knife, dagger, Cudgel etc.
Special ability could be Quiver or Horn.
##2. Vanguard - Forlorn
The first guys into the breach, the first over the wall. Think of the Uruk-Hai Berzerker at Helms Deep (but with a one-handed weapon).
Main weapon: Morning Star, Mace, Falchion, Axe.
Secondary weapon: Knife.
Throwable: 2x Throwing Axe (maybe)
Has both Leaping Strike (as with other Vanguards), and also Sprint Attack (make it bind to Tackle instead i.e. run + F or whatever)
Faster ladder climb (idk, 20% faster?).
Special Ability: Horn or Oil Pot (or something new).
##3. Footman - Sapper
The more offensive version of Engineer.
Weapons largely similar to Engineer, maybe mix it up a bit (IDK, Pickaxe, Axe, Hatchet, Cudgel). Small shield like archer has?
Faster movement speed carrying objects (e.g. Gunpowder Barrels, Petards, Ladder Pieces...).
Bonus damage to objetcs.
Special Ability: Bandage or Oil Pot.
(Note - can't place things like pallisade or spike trap, that's for the Engineer).
##4. Knight - Champion.
Meant to be imposing and intimidating, the centre of the battle line and targeting enemy leaders.
Main weapon: Great Sword, Maul, Halberd.
Secondary weapon: Axe, Morning Star, Sword.
Special Ability: Horn
Not much else to say about this one. A Knight with some different weapons. All the Knights have the same stats and bonuses anyway, just differing by weapons and Special Ability.
Personally, of these I'd most like to see Vanguard Forlorn and Knight Champion.
everytime i spawn as man at arms or guardian i spawn with no shield then i look at the ground to pick up my shield. its tiring... anyway to fix this?
Hi all
I recently got into the game and i was having a bit of a trouble when comes to which class/weapon was comfortable to use until i found the morningstar (two handed weapons feel so clunky for me). I was wondering crusader from the one hand has way more health plus i could use the headsman's axe for crowds but he is slower than the rest of the classes lacks a shield compared to man at arms plus his tackle and firebomb i find them quite situational, on the other hand man at arms has an ok shield he is more mobile medkits and sprinting attack are quite decent but he is a bit more squishy, i would like your opinion on which class should i invest time as a begginer who wants to "main" morningstar. PS: Spacing/reading the opponent are known concepts to me from similar games so even playing the less tankier class is not a big issue. I would like to hear your opinions, Thanks in advance :)

Just wanted to share that I suddenly got this flashback to WC3 when watching this scene (available on netflix) and I'm pretty sure it's lifted from the sound effect of a human footman soldier dying. I was wondering if it's just a common stock sound effect, maybe one of those "hollywood 6000" libraries or something?
Edit: yes it's peasant not footsoldier my mistake, dang haven't played this game in a decade
I took my HotS breaks during the two times this skins was available, and it's oddly my most wanted skin in the game.

Looking for the specific episode.
The quote is not verbatim.
I have seen a lot of coverage over the logistics of an earl of gentleman sleeping with a maid or getting a maid pregnant and the logistics of that, however I (frustratingly) cannot seem to find any academic articles regarding a role reversal, where the wealthy daughter of an earl were to fall for (genuine infatuation, not just sex or pregnancy) a footman or valet in the late 1800's - early 1900's.
Any information or even links to relevant academic articles would be much appreciated.
When you throw a med kit at a teammate as a footman, it does a tiny amount of damage if it hits them and then heals them. I try not to hit teammates but in the middle of combat it's not always easy to place it exactly behind their feet.
Half the time I do this, the teammate turns around and starts slashing away at me like I am trying to hurt them. No, mfer I am healing you. Chill out. That's all. Cheers!
Or vangaurd messer over knight messer? Like? why would I play any of the other classes when knight gets ALL the good things? Fire pot, healing banner, horn, trowing knives/axes very good weapons etc like yeah idk?
