I read that the following route is the fastest:

Every time we reach Manila, there's a cholera outbreak and Fogg catches cholera, resulting in a very large delay. How do you prevent Fogg from catching cholera?
I've read that if you have "responsible" character, you can have him only drink bottled water, preventing the disease. However, I haven't been able to figure out how to make Passepartout "responsible". How do you get to "responsible" status?
Is there another way to prevent Fogg from catching cholera (especially if trying to follow the above route)?

Which makes me realise how old the show really is. I was born after the show aired and I watched reruns of it when I was in kindergarten.
Fileas Fogg is known for making a trip thought impossible. To travel around the world in eighty days in 1872. He does so while calmly avoinding all kinds of obstacles.
Could he also win the race from the movie Rat Race (2001), where the participants have to travel from Las Vegas to Silver City, New Mexico, which is a distance of 563 miles (906 km)?
How would he interact with the other participants from the movie? How would he overcome, for instance, the obstacle of the airport radar being out of order?
