I've been reading up on some population genetics research lately, and I'm a little confused on what Fst scores represent in the real world and how to interpret them. Wikipedia is a little too technical for me to grasp, so I've come here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a dataset consisting of dominant markers (from AFLP). 2 populations of the same species but different ecotypes, and 42 genetic markers. I have written down for each individual if they posses the marker or not. I was told to use the Fst fixation index to see if they are truly different, but my markers are dominant.

What do I do now?

This is my first time writing something in-depth like this so bear with me please! I'm new to crypto, only holding LRC, learned all my wrinkles from the sub of stonks, but I come to the Loopring community to learn and hopefully share some ideas while listening and reading twice as much.

The Basics

Barcodes register any item to any back-end system that logs, tracks, itemizes, or categorizes said item. Through that basic tech, a host of statistics and transaction records can be compiled and sorted. A simple way to connect a product to specified dataset.

The UPC (or Universal Product Code) was first mentioned in a patent from 1934, with the initial patent for barcodes not being filed until 1949 by Bernard Silver and Joseph Woodland. The two lads were graduate students from the Drexel Institute of Technology in Philadelphia. By the patent's approval date in 1952, the beginnings of the barcode was simply a series of rings which utilized “photo-electric cells or other light-responsive means…in accordance with the marks on the cards or records.”

Posted here a million times but a lot of my CPTSD comes from emotional neglect and invalidation during childhood. Anyway, when I was a kid I used to “run away” but I would never go far. This was a cry for attention and care because I didn’t know how else to get it. Of course it never worked and my parents would make fun of me, call me dramatic, and laugh. This happened a lot.

I grew up and didn’t notice until very recently that I do this as an adult. In past relationships and still with my parents I would threaten to leave (not the relationship, but the physical space) and I would get my stuff on to leave and then stand in the doorway but I would rarely almost never actually leave I would just stand there and cry and continue the argument/fight.

Anyway, this happened recently during an argument with my fiancé. I said I was leaving and I got my coat and boots on and made it to the door but didn’t leave. Suddenly a realization washed over me and I felt immense pain and suffering. I was suddenly 6 or 7 years old with a power puff girls suitcase packed with a couple of shirts/pants and some stuffed animals, crying telling my parents I was running away. I collapsed and was inconsolable. I tried to remain in it and acknowledge the pain and all that. It physically hurt my chest. I said it out loud “oh my god i’ve been doing this my whole life!” I felt like a child. I tried to comfort myself and I’m not sure if it worked. I feel strange about the situation and wonder if I’ll continue doing that. It usually only happens when I’m worked up to the max and I go into “flight mode”.

I just can’t stop thinking of the physical pain I felt. It was so intense it felt sharp right in my heart. I wonder what is physically happening in my body when that happened. I don’t think it’s ever been that intense.

Since the release of the Fifth Edition of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) in 2014, Tabletop Roleplaying Games (TTRPGs) have exploded into the mainstream, becoming more popular than ever before thanks to too many factors to name. Youtube channels, dedicated shows like Critical Role, easy internet access to online games, and nostalgia for the 80s have fueled a comeback for D&D and countless other RPGs. But tabletop games have been around for decades now. Since that time, the field has only grown larger as more and more people have access to the tools needed to write and publish their own games.

Of course, that doesn’t mean their game will see significant success, as the author of F.A.T.A.L. can probably attest.

What Are Tabletop Roleplaying Games

Skip if you know about TTRPGs, or have read my write ups on either MYFAROG or Racial Holy War. Yes, there have been a lot of racist role playing games published.

If you haven’t played one, chances are the rules will vary wildly depending on what system you choose. But generally, these games are based on a group of people role playing different scenarios based around the mechanics of whatever system they are playing. Someone usually takes up the role of Dungeon Master (DM) or the game system’s equivalent. The DM is responsible for setting up obstacles, deciding on unclear rules, facilitating role play, and guiding the party to a specific objective. The rest of the players form a party, working with the DM to overcome the obstacles in the way of whatever goals they are after. The nature of TTRPGs and the amount of different systems on the market means that there is really no limit to what the DM and party can do. Humans are born with five senses. Some even say we have a sixth sense. And some like to argue that pressure, temperature and motion are all unique senses as well. When the whole world around you is three dimensional and limited, you have a false sense of control and observation. You think you can perceive everything there is to the world. My experience past hell, in the so called Plains, was the most painful and eye opening experience of my life. What do you perceive when all your senses are stretched to their limits? In The Plains, you can perceive everything there is to the universe. Your eyes can somehow see all waves of light. You ears can hear all frequencies. And the result? it isn’t fun or enjoyable. It’s something that tears apart your very soul because our fragile minds never evolved to handle this much information. To sum this up in two words as I write the rest of the part:

It’ll be hard to describe this place but let me just start with what I saw when I first opened my eyes. My whole body was already feeling extremely uncomfortable and tingly like there was an electric current passing through me. The air felt thicker and it seemed to cling to me in clumps and weigh me down. In a way, it nearly felt like walking through high pressure water hundreds of meters under the ocean.

As soon as I began to feel those sensations when I arrived or materialised (I still don’t understand how the fog brought me there), I opened my eyes and regretted it. The Plains weren’t really plains, they were more a jumbled mess of everything that ever existed. It was so messed up, that even the difference between the ground and air was not defined. It was like being in a watercolour painting, where objects and colours bled into each other.

TLDR - GME and AMC along with other tickers would have squeezed the Russell 2000 (and other ETF's) in January if they did not take away the buy button. This has come all the way around again and they are desperately struggling to not let AMC squeeze as it would then squeeze IWM (Russell 2000) again and all the stocks they've had to shorted to keep IWM price down right now!

So I think we have had too much of a micro view on the AMC line and AMC in general. I believe a macro view should help see the larger picture at play and what's going on in the markets and at stake for these banks and hedgies.

Why was the buy button on January 28th taken away?

Robinhood and others took away these tickers and made them PCO for a reason, but why these specific tickers?

I believe they were the most momentous stocks at the time and all were potentially part of the same ETF... The Russell 2000. If they didn't take away the buy button when they did the entire IWM ETF would have been artificially inflated by GME and these other tickers. It would have squeezed the whole ETF and thus would have squeeze a heavy portion of the market crushing a monstrous amount of shorts.

Note that the line between some EPs/Deluxe versions can be a bit blurred. If anyone has any good cases for one being counted but not another let me know. (I'll add more detail to that in a comment to the post)

You'll also notice two different fields called 'Rate average' and 'Album average'. Rate average details the artist's performance in the rate by counting every song that was included in the main rate. Album average on the other hand will only count songs from that album as valid. There are two main examples of songs being counted as part of the rate average, but not the album average

• When rating separate projects in the same rate (Animal + Cannibal, All Your Fault Pt. 1 & 2, etc.) the album average will only count songs from that project where the rate average counts the two projects together

• Songs are included in the main rate that aren't on the album in an official capacity. Think Halsey's Nightmare or Lorde's Homemade Dynamite Remix. Also note that this field is very much not set to official criteria (like Homemade Dynamite remix is on certain deluxe editions, but most fans don't include it when discussing the album as a whole). Since the field is not set to any specific criteria I'm open to counting things differently.

On the songlist 'Rate average', 'Controversy', 'Artist 11 Split', and 'Artist 0 Split' take all the songs in the rate to account (so including loose tracks and separate projects). All other fields are album specific and will not track loose tracks / other projects.

##Search Tool v2

The search tool now allows searching by albums! Note that inputting an album will show you all of the albums' tracks across all rates (ex. EMOTION will also show you Runaway With Me in winners, etc.). So if you only want to see the album in the rate it was in, set the 'rate search' to that specific rate at the same time to see that. Also as mentioned above if a song is included with an album and you think it shouldn't be let me know and I'll take a look.

Welcome back, and welcome to the New Year. It's now v 3.10 which feature's Theseus' Bane for the campaign which yields this review's Legendary Tier Headliner, HMS Minotaur. Minotaur hails from one of the oldest lines in World of Warships on the whole, despite her recent addition to World of Warships Legends under the Royal Navy. Minotaur is a GREAT ship, though she has a HIGH skill floor, she has an EXTREME skill ceiling.

I acquired Minotaur by purchasing the first 40 levels of the campaign, then completing the other 80. This ship was not given to me by Wargaming for review.

Legendary Tier ships are not considered Premium Ships, and as such, are subject to balance changes. This review is a time stamp of her current statistics upon release in her campaign and may not reflect changes made to the ship in later updates.

Captains, below you will see a unique list set up which will incorporate 2 basic sets of comparison, the shorter lists compare all the Legendary Ships of the same class directly, and the second larger list which incorporates all of the ships of the same class, pairing Legendary and Tier VII.

History:

In 1946, the First Sea Lord requested a rework of the current designs focusing on improving the well-known habitability issues plaguing the cruiser designs of the era. The Director for Gunnery and Anti-Air Division proposed the design should be armed with dual purpose 6" and 3" gunnery, learning and incorporating the design of the then in construction USS Worcester. I have a question about shorting. When you borrow shares of a stock in order to short them, is there a limit for using them? Like, can you borrow 500 shares of TSLA on Monday, then short 100 each day of the week? Or 100 every month for the next 5 months?

Thank you, amazing advice. I am actually really trying to stick to trading SPY. Although it can be a bit schizophrenic, so maybe something like AAPL or MSFT or TSLA. I don't care about sexy. I hate scanning and it stresses me out. I am really okay with plunking myself down with a 5min chart with 4 charts each day and just watching them and taking every opp I can.

[See my edit above in the post. I didn't feel it necessary to elaborate but I did since I have been getting a lot of comments like yours. Truthfully, I was looking at these more like swings and felt like I was chasing AMAT up here since it was already up 5 days in a row. I felt like posting them here because this sub is more active and /r/options and /r/thetagang are too obsessed with the Wheel for my liking. FWIW, I usually stick to SPY, TSLA, AAPL, and AMC options if I am going to day trade because the spreads are like shares, especially SPY. I do have good risk management, I'd wager better than most. When I lost my money, I didn't, but now I do. Everything I trade has a stop limit applied, nothing is mental and I never trade more than 1% of my account. I am not sure what the EV is (as in I don't know what you're asking), but I did a quick test on SPY last night and TSLA and AAPL this morning, over 13 days I had one losing day, 12 winning days and returns around 13-14R.
