In 1977 I was a deacon. Our whole ward got involved in putting on a youth fireside. All of the youth got an invitation and an airplane ticket delivered to their homes during the week. On Sunday night after church we all went to the chapel. We went to a room that was like an airplane and a tape played the sound of a crash. Then two people in white told us that we all died. Then we had to go to the dark relief society room that was the bottom kingdom and after they made everybody feel bad somebody said a mistake happened. After that we went to a middle kingdom room that was light and better. There was another guilt trip and another mistake so we went to the top kingdom. In the top kingdom room there were a bunch of adults in white clothes. I remember that somebody gave a talk about how great things were in the celestial kingdom. The fireside that I attended had a local twist; a bishop in our stake had been in a fatal car crash. It killed him and two of his five kids. The surviving spouse and three kids were dressed in white and holding pictures of their dead family members in the celestial kingdom part of the fireside.
Yeah, so wondering whether anybody else had an experience with the airplane crash fireside? I can't imagine what would happen if somebody tried it now. Also, if they added the airplane crash thing to the endowment ceremony it would be cooler /s.
I may not agree with the execution, but I did find the premise interesting: Boba finally finding a people to call his own only to lose them (called it BTW) and not wanting to deal with the shit he has to with the previous crime lords. It's a functional concept, one that I could actually see working in a better written show.
I guess the big issue is that Boba is still, by and large, acting like a big softie. And while there is certainly room for it in the image the show is trying to character develop Boba into, at the same time he would need the toughness to back it up. I guess the foreshadowed war with the Pykes is meant to change that. Gunning down the swoop gang certainly helped.
This is not helped by writers playing obvious favorites with Fennec. It's not that she's stealing the scenes or even hogging the spotlight, it's that the writers are purposefully making Boba play second fiddle to her. I can understand showing the new character off, but half a season of two series and she's no longer the new character. But in terms of her concept and skillset she is one that should play a complementary role to Boba, instead of hogging his niche. This is why Black Krrsantan's scene in the last episode worked much better. And also better than his previous appearances. Because it wasn't at the expense of an established character, while being all about who the character is and what they do. And also who the barowner is and what do they do. It may have been a tad talky towards the end (because that's what the barowner does), but it actually felt like Star Wars.
And the saddest thing is that they wasted a good beginning. Start with Boba as he appears in the Mandalorian, and then work those softer elements into that as his screentime increases and the audience gets a look at the man underneath the mask.

Greetings fellow DWACers. Interesting watching the tech devils teetering on correction territory today while the only super green was DWAC for a while. Some things on my mind:
#1 It's still so stupid quiet r/DWAC_Stock members 14k vs. r/wallstreetbets members 11,500,000
I believe those numbers are real. I am so shocked just how early we, the 14k, are. People still don't know! Even on FOX news you never hear about this. That's STFU beyond insane, it cannot be chance.
The people I expect should know about this, when I talk to them they know very little to nothing. People are still believing this is fake we don't have anything built, all the FUD, etc.
When we setup truth/DWAC_Stock and are free from being censored, how many people will be members? That's a number I want to see. I think it's going to be a "Love Fest".
#2 The Tech Moat is a mirage
The truth that the tech devils know is that their moat is much shallower than they are posturing. 20 years ago what they built was tough. But in 2022, everything tech (open source etc) can be rebuilt for a tiny, tiny fraction of the old cost in a tiny, tiny fraction of the time. The real moat is the users and we all know DJT will deliver on that. There is no tech moat that TWTR can provide to prevent us from giving them the finger and truly enjoying his antics.
The media will tell us Truth Social has an inferior tech stack to TWTR blah, blah, blah. But it's just like burgers. You can tell me how healthy that soy burger is and I don't care, give me the bloody meat sandwich.
#3 The rest of America has had it with California hogging up everything
The California monopoly on tech wealth and tech jobs needs to stop. It is so wrong. The rest of the country, including blue New York, has been screwed and locked out of one the greatest wealth transfers ever. Many talented young people with the wrong beliefs are screwed out of these high paying jobs. That all changes in 2022. We can give them the finger.
#4 The beginning of a new asset class- Conservative Investments
How many people would like to park their money in something other than FANG-T style companies. Just like some people want to put their money in EVs and green energy, there are vast, vast numbers of people that would be interesting in investing in something like this that matches their beliefs more. This was the best update I have heard in some time and I congratulate Wiser on doing this and facing up to the questions.
There was a good debate about the Top 5 exchange and some decent timeframes around when we could either expect to see a listing or decide to move on from the Top 5. It was good to also hear alternative exchanges mentioned and what is being investigated in parallel - especially the discussion on Crypto.com. Good for you Wiser - you got pushed to discuss something that wasnβt under NDA and you did. This is what makes the community feel involved - you didnβt hide behind the βI canβt discuss anythingβ banner. For anyone reading this, it was just a discussion about Crypto.com and a desire to be on it, with some ideas on how it could be achieved.
What really got me, was Wiser saying about how we can accelerate chances of being listed and using the community to setup accounts on exchanges and tell them we want to be listed. This is exactly what we need - tell us (the community) how we can help and we will. If you send out a direction for people to do X,Y or Z with contacting exchanges, I bet they will.
Also, well done to the chap who had the voice for book reading - sorry my friend, I canβt recall your name. It was refreshing to have someone drive forward a professional and serious debate. There is always time for fun and memes, but there is also a time for serious conversation.

Rule 1 (No reposts, and/or rehosted content): We have heard a lot of feedback about frustration regarding rehosted content. We had become rather lax on this topic, and it caused an obvious rift to occur where users saw the rule βno rehosted contentβ yet rehosted content was present across the entire site.
Previously, we were allowing rehosted articles to stay live until the primary source was posted. The problem is that when a rehosted article is removed, sometimes the OP does not then go back and post the primary source, and that content is just lost to the sub. That is a shame. But at the same time, we do want to try to limit blog-spam in this space and make our news sources more diverse.
With that all in mind, we are committing to increasing our efforts to remove rehosted content. But we need your help. I'm new at harp, but I've been playing a 19 wire string lyre for about two years. I'm really want to get a harp, but I need a smaller inexpensive one since I am a student on a budget. I heard fireside harps are good. I plan on building it. What are your opinions on it? Would it be a good investment until I can get a harpsicle or a floor harp? Also looking at the instructional videos I didn't see any ones with how to add on the levers. I am getting levers for the c, f, and b strings since that's all I can afford. How would I put those on?

A really nice bullish chat about the general market and Blackberry's position in it.
A lot of talk of how the market is recovering and how Blackberry has managed to weather the storm through design and deployment wins. Very similar to the last earnings.
Also, a lot of talk about the current depth of market share and hints of future adoption rates. The discussion also turned to the competitive landscape. Here Chen noted that Blackberry to his knowledge was the only company with a safety certified Hypervisor (big deal for me knowing this is where the money is, and will be). He also pointed out that IVY is in a league by itself.
Guess we will have to look at the IVY Demo tomorrow as Chen really didn't highlight anything new or earth shattering (which I was really what I hoping for!)
.... and no they didn't talk about the patent sale at all.
It turned into the most awkward testimony meeting where it felt like they were each trying to out testimony each other. My kids love studio C but this was just really uncomfortable. I just felt bad for the cast having to do it. I never heard of them doing anymore after that and for their sake I hope it was their last.

Forget everything I said before π₯Ί this is my new favorite! I donβt know why I couldnβt smell it before but now I canβt stop spraying it lol. Straight up marshmallows which is one of my favorite notes.
I only have the mist. Can someone tell me if the body cream, lotion and shower gel is just as good/marshmallowey?! π
I have both of them and they smell extremely similar once they dry down. I know cashmere is a prominent note in both of them so thats probably why. Fireside flurries is a bit sweeter initially while snowflakes and cashmere is more rich smelling. Both of them are good but Iβm curious if anyone else has noticed this
