A list of puns related to "Facets"
First, I would like to thank y'all for the vast amount of knowledge that I have acquired thanks to this sub.
With all of the different facets (pun intended) involved in picking the perfect engagement ring for my intended, I think I have finally narrowed down my selection, but am struggling with one final decision. I have selected the setting, and am decided on an oval cut at just over 1 carat. My only remaining question is whether I should go with (1) a higher color quality, but with some inclusions; or (2) a lower color quality, but very minimal inclusions. Below are the two options I have narrowed it down to and I would appreciate any input that anyone is willing to provide:
1.03 Carat Oval Diamond / Super Ideal Cut / D Color / SI1 Clarity
1.03 Carat Oval Diamond / Super Ideal Cut / I Color / VVS2 Clarity

Poem of the Day: Broken
The Japanese title of S3E23 is γγγγ΅γͺγ³γ¨ / γγ’γγγ or "Wataru funabito / Kaji o tae" (Crunchyroll: Like a boatsman adrift), which refers to the third and fourth lines of Poem 46 by Sone no Yoshitada, a member of the Thirty Six Immortals. It's interesting that these two lines are used for the Japanese title: "Wataru funabito" roughly translates to "A boatsman crossing", but more importantly the "kaji" in "Kaji o tae" is a multi-faceted pun on rudder, oar, and fire while "o tae" means to disappear, to die out, to go away, to break, or to endure.
Combined together, some of these potential translations are much harsher interpretations than others, and one of them can be seen in Mostow's translation of the poem:
> Like a boatman, crossing
> the Strait of Yura,
> whose oar-cord has snapped,
> I'm lost and know not my way
> on the road of love!
Mostow chooses to use the verb "snap" rather than the verb "lost" used by MacMillan and Porter's and he explains his more aggressive choice:
> The biggest debate, however, concerns the phrase kajhi-wo tae. The dominant interpretation among One Hundred Poets commentaries is that wo is an object marker and hence the line means "he loses his oar" (kajhi wo tae). However, some commentators argued that wo means "cord" and thus kajhi-wo tae means "the oar-cord snaps." That this latter was also Teika's interpretation is supported by two poems contained in the Fuboku Waka ShΓ² (ca. 1310), compiled by Fujiwara no Nagakiyo, a follower of Reizei Tamesuke. One poem is attributed to Ono no Komachi; the other is by Teika's own son, Tame'ie, and is clearly an allusive variation (honka-dori) on Yoshitada's poem:
>> Not just our vows, but
>> I am unsure of!
>> Without binding once again
>> the oar-cord, shall I cross
>> the Strait of Yura?
> This poems suggests that musubi and tae are antonyms, the latter then meaning "to break" rather than "to lose." Given Teika's authority, we may presume that his son's usage reflects

I was disappointed when the book ended without ever giving Narset a single line, but... Has it been announced anywhere that The Sundered Bond is the only fiction of any kind that will be released with this set?
This would be the perfect time to bring back web fiction, as Narset could answer the numerous questions raised and left unanswered in the Wexler novel.
possible novel spoilers below
Who was the villain in this book? A certain mind-controlling anarchist shapeshifter is the best fit, based on the motivation and impish dialog, but this raises more questions than it answers.
How in the hells does he have the power to grant random soldiers with world-destroying power? Why does Vivien know he even exists, and how does she think she can stop him?
It seems to me, webfiction starring Narset would be the obvious place to tell the story behind the story. Narset hearing about the events on Eldraine, then finding out things are happening on Ikoria. Meeting Vivien and asking for her help investigating. Exploring Ikoria and its crazy system of magically connected crystals. Visiting Lavabrink and Skysail in the search for answers. Maybe even confirming that the shapeshifter is a couple of steps ahead of her in terms of understanding the crystals. Getting to the Ozolith just as the stress on it reaches a destructive crescendo, and maybe even encountering the actual villain as he casually shakes off his failure and poofs out to go try and fight the power elsewhere. Then maybe a postmortem where Vivien tracks her down and they explain to the Story Circle (and the reader) what they learned, and what this might mean for the future.
Ikoria has two major mechanical facets (pun intended). Giant Monsters, and mystical crystals. We saw the Planeswalker studying the biology of the plane. Now let's get the other story, of the plane's geology.
Hey folks. In case you missed it, greentext 404 and 405 have finally gone live! I couldn't resist making a little multi-faceted pun out of the title for 404.
There should be a new post up tomorrow as well.
This post here is performing double duty. First, to inform you if you didn't know.
Second, to serve as the placeholder for the next Table of Contents, which is overdue to be created.
I'll probably edit out this text eventually, but for now, here's the ToC for the enjoyment of future generations:

is there a different Gears reddit? thanks. Apparently it was a "Self post link" ? Im confused. I wasn't self posting. The links I included do not belong to me in anyway.
Edit: oh they've removed their response to my last post. Since they gave a reason then withdraw that reason.
The game in question is Sniper Elite 2 Contracts (not my sort of game, but the gore looks like what Gears needs but not just on the head but the entire body) go watch the gameplay trailer and compare the gore to Gears 5. Then go watch Gears 2 Tech Demo, soft body physics and question and wonder why they toned it down for Gears 5.
Best not post links just incase the agreement between the mods and TC gets breached. /s
Edit: mods put up the post back up, it appears it was auto mod. Links in that post for videos.
As I post this it seems TC have mentioned moving onto to new things and a new engine or updated version:
TL;DR: TBOI has three main "routes" to fight an endgame boss, and each one represents a different facet of Isaac's life and the circumstances leading to his death: His "story", his suffocation, and his family. It's possible that the entire game isn't just a story made by Isaac, but also a purgatory of sorts.
The Story / Religion Route
This is the main route of TBOI. The main, most common endgame bosses all revolve around Isaac's "story" he's telling, his feelings on religion, and an examination of himself. This basic route encompasses Mom, Mom's Heart, Isaac, Satan, The Lamb, ???, and Mega Satan.
Essentially all of these bosses represent something Isaac perceives or something playing a role in his story. Mom / Mom's Heart plays the typical villain of his story, attempting to kill him at the behest of God. Within this route you can take the path of Isaac's "religion" or himself. You can fight Satan, whom Isaac perceives as his master, as he's convinced he's the Antichrist thanks to his mother's abuse. You can fight the Lamb as well; it should be noted that the Lamb represents Jesus Christ, the "lamb of God". The Lamb is Isaac's POV regarding Jesus - seeing the figures his mother talks about as monstrous and evil.
You can also fight Isaac and ???, and these are more obvious. ??? is Isaac's suffocated corpse, Isaac is himself "ascending". Mega Satan plays the "big bad" of this route. He's the big guy behind Isaac's self, because Isaac considers himself to be evil. Within Isaac's story, he rebels against his "master". The Story / Religion route is Isaac coming to terms with his feelings about both himself and his mother's preaching.
The Suffocation / Death Route
This encompasses the content added in the Afterbirth expansions, mainly Hush and Delirium. Both of these bosses represent Isaac's death in his toy chest - Hush represents death itself, a return to "nonbeing" of sorts. Note that Hush is actually Isaac's own dead fetus, pushing against the walls of his mother's womb. Delirium is Isaac's life flashing before his eyes, a reminder of Isaac's "story" and his life in his final moments.
Neither of these bosses are religious in nature. They both encompass Isaac's final moments, and him reflecting on his own death. They are reminders of Isaac's death intruding on his "story". The Suffocation / Death route is Isaac confronting and reflecting on his final moments and his ultimate death inside the chest.
The Family / Ascension Route

The Carolina Squat. like why would you want to make it look like you couldn't afford the full lift kit, and THEN proceed to jack it up at the front to where you hinder your visibility and be a danger to yourself and other drivers?
TRUCK BALLS. Cause you just have to tell the world that your truck not a girl, BUT A MAN! WITH A BIG HAIRY NUT SACK THAT HANGS DOWN FOR EVERYONE TO SEE!
The Calvin Pissing Sticker. To be honest, I haven't seen this one out in the wild for a long time, but I think it takes such a beloved, wholesome character and completely throws away everything that the original comic stood for, for the sake of a tired "I hate this thing so much I need to show everyone else how much I hate it" motif.
Actively hating the rival brand. This one I truly don't understand, Ive seen people genuinely despise the other brand simply because it is the other brand, Take Mustang vs Camaro for instance. they are both V8 rear wheel drive cars that serve the the same function, and I'd honestly be happy with either, but people just need to have the Calvin sticker pissing on the chevy logo, while screaming MOPAR OR NO CAR, in their charger. Its so tribalistic.
Rolling Coal. Uggh this is probably the one I dislike the most, first of all, from what I know you are actively hindering your trucks performance/reliability by modifying the ecu to belch black smoke, and from what I've seen a lot of the time they use it to generally just be dicks and blast random bystanders or whatever protest they don't agree with smoke.
Now if you like any of these trends, thats okay! your completely in your right to like them we don't have to agree, this is just my personal opinion.
ESTPs & ENTPs have the 4 same Judging Functions in the same order. Itβs as follows:
2)Ti-Parent
3)Fe-Child
6)Te-Critic
7)Fi-Trickster
Iβm asking your types specifically because you guys have Ti-Parent, which means your types are pessimistically and skeptically responsible with logos / telling the cold hard truth of matters as upfront, blunt, and as honest as possible to other people, for the overall sake of their well-being, whether they like it or not (Tertiary Fe).
And also you guys are ridiculously adept at calling others out on their BS / constructively criticizing them straight to their faces. Te-Critic is always there judging and mocking the complete ridiculous, absurd, insipid, inane, unrealistic, illogical and/or straight up fallacious reasoning, beliefs, values, knowledge, rhetoric, pre-conceived notions and arguments of others. Tending to be extremely skeptical towards the reasoning of others / data / statistics / etc. Hence why your use of Ti tends to be more responsible with telling the truth of things to others. You want to help rid others of willful ignorance, dogma, fallacious reasoning and over-use of cognitive biases as much as possible. Etc.
So I thought your types would be the best choice to ask this question accordingly.
What can we learn from you by asking this?
Thanks.
Go to the World of Warcraft forum and just see how many people like Mythic+. I'll help you out: it's a terrible system that's dividing the forums something fierce.
DPS races are never good and they take away any and all player creativity. If it's not the most efficient build, you're the reason the reward isn't as good as it could be. You could never die, kill the problem enemies, kill the problem boss. But it's just not good enough because you didn't choose, currently, modified rounds or you chose the devastator class. This only breeds hatred amongst your community and completely dissolves any feeling of "co-op" there is to be had.
Monster Hunter's endgame is good. You still have the gear treadmill, you still have tons of things to grind... But it's focused on survival. The hunts are hard and you have to learn the monsters to succeed. You can, with skill, go the entire hunt without taking damage and being skillful enough to not take damage will in turn increase your DPS and decrease hunt times. But you get no reward for a quick hunt other than saving time to do another hunt. It builds comradery. You don't leave your friend behind because he's trying a new weapon and might not pump out the damage. He knows the monster so he likely won't cart and fail you the mission, but he's not going to pump out the numbers liked before and this is, and should be, completely acceptable and encouraged.
But with Outriders... You're actively punished for experimenting and trying new things. "This patch's meta is already solved, if I don't see you doing [x], you're the reason our drops suck."
On TOP of this... You have "support" class and "tank" class. Who are designed to do less damage. It's only with the modified rounds shenanigans that any class can compete in endgame without an already endgame build. This also leaves out Devastator, who really is just dead weight. They're beefy, but that doesn't kill the enemy faster. They're beefy, but have no way to pull aggro. Technomancers can heal, but the heals' completely useless because self-heal completely overshadows it. Why go heal if that just means less damage?
In Monster Hunter, if your team triple carts and fails the mission, you can observe the monsters movements closer next hunt and completely change the outcome with the same exact equipment.
With Outriders, there's only one strategy: Click on heads. If you're not winning, your number isn't high enough. If your number isn

I don't know what Anet did, but after patch i stay consistently at 5s swiftness for like a minute then it slowly stack up to 10s after like 3 minutes
Why nerf a class that is already bad in PvE and only really meta in WvW???
Iβm halfway through Fire and Blood, and they mention Lady Johanna Swann, who was captured by Lyseni pirates at 15, and βsold to a pillow house, where she rose to become the celebrated courtesan known as the Black Swan, and ruler of Lys in all but name.β (363) I think that could be a very intriguing story, sort of a cross between a Sansa/Daenerys/Ceresi type of arc, although we know The Black Swan would have a successful/βhappyβ conclusion.
Iβm also fascinated by Southros and Essos, would be very interested to hear more about lands beyond the Bone Mountains and how all these different cultures trade/war with one another.

Heβs now officially putting up more points, rebounds, and assists while averaging less turnovers per game than he did as a rookie. Heβs also shooting better from the field, from three, and from the free throw line.
Not to mention heβs improved in nearly every advanced statistic and ways that go beyond regular counting stats. (For example, heβs shooting 42% on mid range jumpers compared to 28% last season)
Heβs just 20 years old and is the youngest guy on the team, the future is insanely bright.
Taking offers on a perfect rolled Lightning Rainbow Facet.
Will be closing the auction Sunday, May 2 at 10pm US Central time.
