A list of puns related to "Fabius"
> Fulgrim smiled beatifically, and in that moment, Fabius saw the ghost of the true Phoenician in him. Not the hero of lost Chemos, but the arrogant creature who had been so easily seduced by false promises. The monster that valued his own perfection, over the lives of his sons.
In Clonelord Fabius gives up Clonegrim to Trayzn under the belief that this newly reborn Fulgrim, uncorrupted but also featuring that special Primarch Aura, will inevitably follow the same path to corruption. But if this was a truly destined fall that would repeat itself, Slaanesh would never tolerate Fabius giving away another potential Daemon Fulgrim. Indeed if the corruption was indeed inevitable, putting Clonegrim into permanent museum stasis is actually the best outcome for The Imperium by denying another daemon primarch. Slaanesh would never let Fabius throw this away. What Slaanesh manipulates Fabius to do is what gives away what Slaanesh knows about the situation. A Clonegrim damned to retread the path to excess being set loose on the world would be perfect for Slaanesh, but an uncorrupted Fulgrim would be a substantial threat to some of Slaaneshs best toys.
Fabius is one of Slaaneshs most favorite devotees who, despite his own rejection of the idea, worships Slaanesh through his obsession with creating his New Men. Fabius believes that he does not serve Slaanesh, he works only to do anything required to perfect his βchildrenβ, and once done he would be turning the tables on chaos. But of course he can never quite reach that perfection, the Slaaneshi pursuit of excess, and so he is caught in and endless loop of Slaanesh using the idea of his New Mens future to keep Fabius serving Slaaneshs interests.
So Fabius initially wasnt going to give Fulgrim to Trayzn, he started raising Fulgrim with the hope for the return of the uncorrupted primarch. Indeed the 3rd legion marines that meet Fulgrim weep and beg for forgiveness for all their transgressions, pledging the return to him and the Imperium. Even Fabius feels the overwhelming pull to follow this new Fulgrim in his mission to redeem the Emperors Children.
>Fulgrim looked at Fabius. βThe gene-tithe, Fabius,β he said. βIs it safe?β His eyes blazed with new strength, new awareness. As if the truth of him had been restored in battle. Fabius felt the weight of that gaze. And he cursed the part of himself that responded. βIt is,β he said, his voice a hoarse rasp. He felt as if he were standing on the edge of so

>Only when we reached the apothecarion did our march finally break stride. All of us were long since inured to horror, so it was not the abundance of flesh heresy taking place inside those chambers that brought us to a halt. The walls were beribboned with racks of preserved human meat, organ containment jars, surgical tools β it was a laboratory set up within an abattoir, and its gory, soiled majesty surprised none of us. We expected nothing less from the wayward visionaries and genetic mages of the III Legion.
>What brought us to a halt was that the overseer of this place had succeeded. This was not the laboratory of those who were struggling and failing to manipulate one of the most arcane and flawed sciences. This was the sanctum of madmen who had already succeeded.
>From my first step into the chamber I realised it; it was in my very first breath of blood-fouled air. We had been wrong all this time. The Emperorβs Children were not unknowable years away from a cloning genesis. They had already mastered that darkest lore. We were not here as saviours, ready to purge this place before an abomination could be done. We were far too late for that.
>Even Abaddon, so possessed by battle lust moments before, came to a dead halt. He stared at the bloodstrewn surgical tables and the great sustaining tanks that contained half-formed perversions of life. Servitors and mind-dead thralls drifted between the machinery, tending to it all with a tenderness that had no place in this feculent nursery.
>Here was the Emperorβs sacred genetic project rebuilt through daemonic lore and gutter genius. Row upon row of life pods contained mutated children and deformed adolescents, each with a feature or two that we just barely recognised. One of the palest child-creatures was melded to a smear of biological matter coating one wall of its tank. It reached out from where it was trapped in this fusion of mutated flesh, beckoning me closer. The intelligence in its stare made my skin prickle under the touch of ice.
>Worse was the familiarity of its features, and the affection in its gaze.
>Khayon, it sent to me, smiling through the faecal murk.
>I backed away, weapons held in tightening fists.
>βWhat

As they're walking on Fulgrim's planet, Narvo is saying how the Chaos Gods don't really care about worship in reference to the Word Bearer's belief. Because they're "powered/fed" whether they're believed in or not i.e. "A man pets a stray and his small pleasure in the act of kindness feeds Slaanesh. A woman strikes her crying child and that awful moment of elation she feels feeds Khorne..." etc. Someone contemplates suicide and Nurgle is fed. Commander comes up with a strategy for bloodless victory and Tzeentch is fed.
When Fabius asks what's the purpose of doing anything if in the end all their actions are just "meat" to feed the Chaos Gods. Narvo responds with basically saying it's just in our nature; prey avoids the predator and says if it makes Fabius feel any better that despite the Chaos God's nightmarish power they too are just meat and the sliver of something greater.
Anyone know what this last bit is in reference to? What would the Chaos God's themselves be feeding?
We already know about Clonegrim and clonerus But could Bile create A CloneGron or even a Clone the red? If he could. What is the possibility of him doing so?
He tries to be somewhat reasonable and not get corrupted by chaos too much, so fashion choice seems strange without context
Context: Fabius Bile faces a threat to his work greater than any he faced before. In desperation, he tries to make a deal with Abaddon. The two despise each-other, so the initial part of their conversation is essentially just them shit-talking eachother and Abaddon trying to get Fabius to kneel before him. But eventually the conversation takes an interesting turn...
>'If only you could see what the gods have in store for you, Fabius. It might even make a soul as black and tough as yours quiver. It might be enough to make you listen...'
>'Don't pretend you know anything about my fate, Ezekyle. Whatever it is that whispers to you in the night is no more a god than I am, and even less a seer.'
>Abaddon was silent for a moment. 'The gods speak to me, Fabius, whether you believe it or not. They tell me things. They promise me things. I ignore them, save when it suits me to listen.' He looked at Fabius. 'We are more alike than you think. And that is why I tell you this - do not accept whatever bargain they offer to you. Walk unflinchingly into the fires of your extermination, even as our brothers did at Isstvan. Choose freedom.
>Fabius stared at him. 'And what of my children? What of my legacy?'
>'It will die with you,' said Abaddon bluntly. 'If the xenos don't kill them, I will. But better death than whatever the gods have planned for you.'
>'Your consideration touches me.'
>'It is not consideration, Fabius, it is pity. I know your fate, and it is one you well deserve, though even I would not wish it on you.' Abaddon gestured sharply. 'But I know you and I know that you won't listen. Surrender isn't in you. You're a survivor. When the galaxy burns you will be left sitting in the ashes, still playing the fool for the gods - or whatever comes after. So I will tell you what you wish to know, because the gods have asked it of me and because you and they deserve each other.'
My personal analysis of the scene in spoilers, since it delves into Manflayer's ending.
>!What I find interesting about this is, if I'm interpreting this right, despite hating him on an ideological level Abaddon respects Fabius for also being independent from the Chaos Gods. He knows about the future of Fabius, where after ritually sacrificing himself to Chaos as part of the bargain with Fulgrim he (or his clones at least) loses all of his ideals and just becomes a lunatic comitting atrocities for the giggles that fully embraces the fact his purpose is to create

My unit art doesn't seem to change with the culture (like it's all "standard" as far as I can tell and doesn't seem to be different between Zhou, Egyptian, etc.) and I also seem to remember for Steam there being different ways to set up your win conditions and more diversity in the player color options. I don't see those options for me, so I was wondering if Stadia is just STILL waiting for that update we were supposed to get back in November or if there was something I was instead supposed to do to my account to update it. Thanks for your help.
For all the inner workings of the eye that the books show us I think the best part of it is seeing the potential for kindness and balance that Angron and his legion had before they were ruined by the nails.
In a world of demons and mutants the best and most trustworthy guy around is a sedated berserker. He even chooses to work with plants rather than people.
Iβve seen a lot of people harp on how awesome the trilogy is but I feel like this aspect of them flies under the radar a bit.
What a disapointment, i have been waiting it to relaunch the game and now i cant enjoy it at all.
I simply cant build anything, have to press end turn again and again ......
I am behind in everything.
I have played since the first beta and to my opinion this patch is the worse of all.
At this rate of update i feel the game may be correct in a year or more !
Very weird from an decent size game company to struggle this much to offer an interesting game.
Graphic and combat mechanics are the only thing good in this game, rest of the gameplay feels so unfinished.
This game had the potential to be a sucessor to Civilization but with will be forgotten by player very fast because beeing pretty isnt everything !
And sadly it may be like Imperator : Rome from another game company, they sold a lot day one and see that the game was so bad its bot worth investing in supporting it with dlc.
I hope i am wrong, and sorry for this long complain but my frustration is so high
My local second hand booky wooky shop has about 20 HH books. I feel like diving into Emperor's Children lore since I don't know much HH apart from all the Nurgley goodness that went down in Flight of the Eisenstein, The Buried Dagger and dinosaurs on Pythos.
If so wouldnt he be interested in their biology for his experiments? They seem to be able to adapt to anything they face and are nigh on invincible in their evolution speed. Surely he could make some genetic poison to wipe them out?
All ive ever read about him is his twisted experiments so im curious if hes a force to be reckoned with in battle.
Just bought the first volume after seeing Mindflayer in a books-a-million, but the second volume is proving hard to find at any acceptable price. Any suggestions for where to buy the black library books?
Could fabulous bills new men be fully implanted to become space marines for example for the emperor's children and other chaos space marines?
