The African neocolonial states have decided to launch an invasion of South Africa. This is not entirely surprising, as we did launch a rather brutal incursion into Namibia and Botswana--but more importantly, it is the belief of General Secretary Malema and other party leaders that this isn't really about the refugees--they simply served as a pretext for an attempt by the forces of the old order to stamp out the revolution, as occurred in France and Russia most notably. In fact, Malema himself seems to have taken the view that this expedition is a sign of his own personal greatness, that faraway Egypt and Nigeria feel threatened by the potential of metastasizing revolution.
More immediately, however, the UASR faces the problem of, you know, getting invaded--particularly regarding the fact that they have airpower and we... do not, aside from maybe 4-8 semi-operational Gripen C/D--nor do we really possess any high-altitude air defense.
In this, General Secretary Malema has declared that the UASR is to pursue a "People's War". By this, he means adopting a Fabian strategem. African People's Liberation Army fighters will be broken up into mobile, brigade-sized formations of three to five thousand men, all in wheeled vehicles--from Denel Rooikats to Patria AMVs. These wheeled vehicles will be logistically simpler to support than the tracked vehicles many other African states are likely to bring, and are also faster than whatever they have, especially given our knowledge of local conditions. These formations are both too large for the enemy to wish to engage them without their whole strength, and too small to create one unified target. Their directions are, essentially, to drive around in circles in the desert in the desolate steppes and deserts of northern UASR, avoiding contact with hostile forces but constantly drawing them in further [especially into areas that are impossible for tracked vehicles to traverse], tempting them to split their armies, swooping back to threaten supply lines. If an incredibly favorable opportunity arises, they are to take it; but otherwise they are to not engage the enemy at all costs. In the meantime, small bands of paramilitaries, militias, and other forces are supposed to harass the enemy and make their lives complicated.

Hey. Haven't been as active in this subreddit as I once was, but I fired Humankind back up on Stadia yesterday and I'm not sure if I have the latest update or not. My unit art doesn't seem to change with the culture (like it's all "standard" as far as I can tell and doesn't seem to be different between Zhou, Egyptian, etc.) and I also seem to remember for Steam there being different ways to set up your win conditions and more diversity in the player color options. I don't see those options for me, so I was wondering if Stadia is just STILL waiting for that update we were supposed to get back in November or if there was something I was instead supposed to do to my account to update it. Thanks for your help.
What a disapointment, i have been waiting it to relaunch the game and now i cant enjoy it at all.
I simply cant build anything, have to press end turn again and again ......

I have played since the first beta and to my opinion this patch is the worse of all.
At this rate of update i feel the game may be correct in a year or more !
Very weird from an decent size game company to struggle this much to offer an interesting game.
Graphic and combat mechanics are the only thing good in this game, rest of the gameplay feels so unfinished.
This game had the potential to be a sucessor to Civilization but with will be forgotten by player very fast because beeing pretty isnt everything !
And sadly it may be like Imperator : Rome from another game company, they sold a lot day one and see that the game was so bad its bot worth investing in supporting it with dlc.

The production scaling in the late game is abysmal. It's annoying to build up a giant city and then not be able to build anything.
I do love the game, but they did a really bad job with this particular change. You don't nerf builder cultures by making it harder to build things, you nerf builder cultures by making it easier for everyone to get their production up. That's how you make it so we Have to pick a builder culture. No bueno :/
I've been holding weekly play sessions with three other people over LAN, and we've been on the same game for the past month or so, maybe a little more. It's taken so long because a typical play session inevitably got cut short by consistent crashing - after about five crashes or the first instance of crashing, reloading, and crashing again without even two turns passing, we would just give up and play something else.
I'm really, really happy to say that in spite of the desync issues not being completely fixed, the game is now vastly more stable. We played for a solid few hours yesterday with only two or three crashes! Went all the way from the Medieval era to Industrial. If you've given up on multiplayer, I'd recommend giving it another try.
I know the basics ( scales exponentially, etc. ) but does anyone have the precise formula? I was trying to Google it and I may just be missing it.
