A list of puns related to "Externals"
I would say Trott's 184 and Board's 169 vs Pakistan 2010 at Lord's due to spot fixing controversy
Brad Haddin's 2013/14 Ashes at home (493 runs in eight innings with an avg of 61.62), due to Mitch Johnson's absolute demolition of the England side
Gambhir's 97 vs Sri Lanka in the 2011 ODI WC Final, overshadowed by Dhoni's 91 and Jayawardene's Century.
Probably many more
Subnautica is an example. Valve doesn't require this issue to be fixed in order for a game to be Deck Verified, but I wonder if they should, because it means we won't be able to play the game with a controller while the Deck is Docked.
Unless someone is aware of a user workraround?
To start, this company is (was) my family's company and I was offered 51% ownership four years ago, nothing was in writing ( I will never make this mistake again).
I quit my previous job, and did everything needed to start this company. Submit State documents, setup insurance policy, created applications, sent job offers to my previous employees, created the website, made marketing materials, managed Google Ads, registered the domain, created customer portals, made SOP for internal employees, G Suite admin, in addition to operational duties that fall outside of I.T.
Since Covid started my pay was cut 25% ( the max they can reduce pay while still qualifying for PPP). I have not received a pay increase since, they fired their HR person 6 months ago and dropped some of their responsibility onto me as well.
Yesterday at 1:30 (I leave the office at 1 each day), I was told there was an auditor coming to the office.
Turns out to be an external I.T. company that requires complete access to everything I have, all domains, all G Suite access, any expenses that fall under I.T.
I was told to give them super admin to G Suite and any I.T. logins, so they can see where to cut down costs and improve efficiency. (Everything I have been denied to do in my position for the last two years.)
Today, while at the airport I was told to work on my PTO to give this company access, and that I would not receive any PTO back. I said I would do it when I get back if I am not receiving any PTO back for working on my day off.
The External I.T. company used the owners login to create a super admin, and remove me as the main admin contact on G Suite.
I still have Super Admin access, but I have a feeling this is their way of getting ready for my exit.
Should I be worried about my job? Or finding a new one?
I have no certifications, I have no degree.
Everything I know I self taught, from setting up a home lab for Plex, Game Servers, Self hosted VMs for CCTV, ect.
I'm planning to move soon and want to minimize my stuff as much as possible. This includes DVDs. But, where I'm moving to does not have the best internet service. Everything I see in the sidebar seems to require good internet. What do I need to look for in an external hard drive to be able to play movies directly from it without the internet?
If it helps, my blu-ray dvd player does have a USB port. I can also hook my laptop to the tv via HDMI, but that is tedious and would require getting up to pause a movie.
Bonus question: I have to buy an external DVD reader/ripper to even do all this. Does buying one that is Blu-ray capable make a difference?
Do you believe that the entities and realms on DMT are a different layer of reality like a dimension we can't usually see or do you think the experience is all in your head?
I saw a comment on r/worldnews and it seems like there is a lot of disagreement over why Japan signed the Plaza Accord, even on economics subreddits this question is rarely answered with certainty.
>when the Japanese economy was growing non-stop Japan was pressured by the US into signing the Plaza Accord and thus crippling its own economy and entering into a major recession today known as the Lost Decade. Not happy with that, the US went ahead and simultaneously placed 100% tariffs on Japanese electronics. Tariffs Japan wasn't even allowed to match or even retaliate in any way.
Was it to balance the trade surplus/deficit situation with the US, in order to prevent an economic crisis for the US in fears that it would lead to a worldwide crisis?
Did the fact that US have military bases in Japan, write the Japanese constitution and transferred a lot of technological IP influence Japan to accept tariffs and the Plaza Accord?
What is the cause of the Lost Decade, was it just the LDP mismanaging the economy?
This issue is badly understood and explained, it seems too simplistic to chalk it up to US forcing Japan to act against its own interests.

I feel like most competitive players are very unhappy with the current implementation of these buffs. What do you guys think about this post?
Full text here:
This is a good topic, and a difficult one because it gets to a lot of questions about varying player tastes. No definitive answerβand we want people to keep talking about itβbut a few thoughts:
One goal you have might be maximizing your chances at killing the boss. Another goal you have might be maximizing your position on a ranking website. Those goals sometimes lead you toward different behavior. Itβs not really up to us to tell people which one to pursue. But we do design towards keeping the first one interesting and rewarding. Choices where players are explicitly thinking about maximizing the groupβs output (things like external buffs, or group-level cooldown coordination) contribute to that. These can sometimes make the second goal less clear (for example, because buffs make it hard to account for everyoneβs damage contribution), and so far we are okay with that.
Another way of looking at this is: the βkilling the bossβ goal is made by us. The βrankingβ goal is made and managed by players. Players canβand should!βdo what they want with it. Adaptations like asterisking logs which include Power Infusion are already occurring. The rankings are an expression of what players choose to value, to use as a mark of individual achievement. We all know that someoneβs value to a group is not solely determined by their DPS meter, even though itβs a useful tool. Guild recruiters evaluating players know that various kinds of contributions arenβt reflected there. Contributions like Power Infusion arenβt obvious on them either, but similarly, that is an analysis problem left to players.
One of the most difficult aspects of this topic is social tension. Sometimes people argue with their teammates about buffs. Itβs very understandable, to me, why one possible response someone might have for that isβthis can put you at odds with your own groupmates, so stamp it out. The flip side of that is: this is part and parcel of playing with real people in a large cooperative group. And preserving the human element of group play in WoW, not boiling it down to predictable mechanical interactions, is an important value. See for example, the common lament that group-finder content has lost a lot of the human inter

Itβs your Bluetooth speaker is bigger than your hand itβs to fucking big for a picnic.
Seems like it would make sense, think a lot of holders are letting it sit on the exchanges. This would boost price as I think many wallet amounts would almost double ?
It's a question that's been lingering in my mind recently because I see it everywhere. I'm personally not a fan because It feels very cheesy.
