A list of puns related to "External Audit"
Hey people,
Just wondering what you think is the appropriate response for this particular situation?
Should I just go "Yeah! That's great"?
Many thanks!
All other factors (location and salary) being equal- which would you choose for external audit? (I know theyβll both be miserable and stressful but Iβm still asking π€Έ)

Hi, I just got an offer from recruiter to became one of their IA staff. The company is the biggest company in my country (not F500 or anything). My background is 6 month in EY and 6 month in KPMG (currently working). Offered 40% pay increased. I have a few question :
Any other advice is appreciated. Thank you
Are you seeing the newer associates traveling during COVID? If so, is it in and out of state or just in state? Any detail about a normal week is appreciated!
Context: I received a job offer ( big 4) for Internal Audit / Technology Risk in Europe (Belgium) which Iβm very excited about. However, after researching online it seems that exit opportunities are way more limited than for external audit functions. I also read very mixed experiences about the job itself (numbless work, testing all day, less value-added, etc.).
I also have an offer to work at a small but well-performing audit company where I can work as External auditor with similar wage/ benefits.
So I still have a lot of questions unanswered and was hoping some people with experience here could help me out:
I'm an Australian looking to move to the US for audit via an E-3 visa at a senior level (4 yrs public acct exp). Just got automatically rejected from PwC, so it seems like their H1B policy extends to other visa types as well.
Is anyone able to share their experiences or know colleagues who have been able to secure sponsorship in audit?
This past week Iβve been contracted to help our subsidiary with a year end SOX project. This is my first project as a professional accountant, I did a couple during internships with lots of help and guidance but this is the first of the first.
I was told I would have help and wouldnβt be left stranded with questions during the engagement interview, and I wouldnβt be delegated lots of responsibility since Iβm still getting my footing.
On Friday during our first meeting with the manager introduced me as the lead accountant and I would be handling all the questions, scheduling and do majority of the audit.
Yesterday during our team meeting, the VP asked the team to put together a list of questions that he could review before we have any client walk-thru. I decided to drop a word document in our chat right after the meeting, included all my questions but the other accountant and manager didnβt say anything.
Today, the client is asking why we havenβt scheduled anything and the VP is asking where the formal questions are. The manager and other accountant are being responsive to them, but in chats with just me Iβm getting no response.
Theyβre kind of starting to throw me under the bus but I havenβt retaliated, Iβm just asking how you would handle something like this. Iβm literally two weeks in and Iβm starting to feel like this is every group project I had to do in college.
I have an offer on the table for a PwC Acceleration Center External Audit Intern position. Iβve seen threads on this before but none recently. Is this a good position to take for future opportunities? How does acceleration center differ?
From what Iβve seen from past posts, Id be doing grunt work for less pay, but my rate is the same as external audit interns outside of AC. Other than thatβ¦ idk.
Hey there,
starting my 5th year in a big four and it's time to quit this hellhole. Despite my experience, I keep seeing all these internal audit positions and it's making me realize how I know absolutely nothing about internal audit. Literally nothing. I suppose I can imagine the kind of things they do, but I'm not sure how they document stuff. I mean, I've survived plenty, how hard can it be... :D Or is it much different after all? Recently took my country's equivalent of the CPA exams, might even pass I guess but I wanna move on anyway. Thanks fellas!

I was in internal auditor for four years. Those of you who've done both, is being an external auditor as monotonous as internal audit?
