If I've understood things correctly, in the tax farming system, the tax farmer remits a pre-defined sum to the state and takes the rest of the revenue for himself. I feel this would obviously lead to exorbitant taxation and eventually economic decline, since it's in the personal interest of the tax farmer to tax as much as possible before his term runs out.

Wouldn't a better solution have been for the state to appoint bureaucrats who are given a fixed salary and collect just the pre-defined sum, like they did in East Asia AFAIK?

I've asked my professors about this, and they said the state's benefits are:

• a guaranteed income, because the tax farmer is personally liable to pay the fixed sum independent of e.g. crop failure
• cheaper than appointing tax officials, because the tax farmer is personally responsible for establishing and financing the tax-collecting network down to the village level

But I still can't help but feel that both benefits are overshadowed by the very obvious fact that this creates a massive incentive for tax farmers to extort the peasantry as much as possible.

This took an awful lot of time both in-game and out, examining armour sets from the various wikis as well as taking inspiration from previous posts here and on r/MordhauFashon, not to mention trying to actually get some of these cosplays to work in mordhau's customisation system. I gotta give it some praise though, as it definitely has a quite detailed system for customisation, I'm just a little miffed at how expensive some of the pieces are.

What is XP farming or "AI farm 1h"?

XP farming in HotS is done by 5-man premade teams playing games vs beginner AI while using a variety of techniques to maximize XP gain. One such game takes about 55-65 minutes on average, hence the commonly used name.

Why would I do this?

Now for why would you want that much XP, there are many possibilities:

• You like yellow borders around your heroes in draft and showing off with sophisticated mastery taunts
• It's event time and you want to earn as many those sweet event lootboxes as possible
• You want to quickly level your 1 heroes to level 5 to be able to pick them in HL and get these 4 easy lootboxes + 500 gold. Incidentally, 1,375,000 XP earned by a level 1 hero is just enough to get them to level 5.
• Or maybe you come from MMORPG roots and just enjoy grinding ;-)

Don't you get bored playing vs beginner AI for 1 hour?

Well, that depends. How good are you at finding things to do? Sure, if you were to focus 100% of your attention on prolonging a beginner bots game, it'd probably get pretty boring. Many people however find other ways to occupy themselves.

Some of them soak/hunt with heroes with infinitely stacking quests, such as Alarak, Butcher or Arthas's D and become absolute raid bosses during that 1 hour. Some people watch TV series on second monitor. Some others listen to podcasts/audiobooks. Some others engage in some of the legitimately funniest/most stress free banter I've had pleasure to participate in HotS. (Usually during regular matches you don't have much time to type/joke, unlike here)

So we've been hitting Destiny hard for the past Month now and if you've played even half as much as me I'm sure you're decked out in Legendaries and probably even have an alt starting up or are starting to clear Hard modes. What does that mean? Lots of gear to level!

One key component of upgrading your legendaries are materials found in the open world. The only way to farm these materials is by farming their respective planets for those resources!

Well I've been farming this stuff for way too long, already have a few gear sets as well as a full alt, and from public opinion as well as personal opinion and extensive comparison testing - I am confident these are the four fastest ways to farm the four respective materials on each planet.

Not only that, but I'm also confident that these guides won't distract you from what really matters here - the farming routes themselves! Lately there's been an abundance of bulky guide videos that take 15 minutes to deliver 2 minutes of content, so I tried to simplify the format for material farming route guides. (See NOTE below)

First, Spinmetal! Earth's silvery shiney bundle of metallic foliage!

• This spinmetal run features the Rocketyard chest run, it simply cannot be beaten on Spinmetal/Hour anywhere else on Earth!

Now, here comes my favorite farm spot, Helium Coils! This NEW Moon chest run has yet to be popularized so hit it hard while you can!

• This Moon run is an nJoi Gaming-found run that features a TON of chest coverage across a large area that respawns quickly by the time you're looping back around and I've seen tons of lucky double-spawns!

And then there was Spirit Bloom, the easiest sh!t to farm since the Loot Cave - this stuff is everywhere but here's the fastest run out there featuring the well-known Ember Caves

• NOTE: I was rushing on this one because it's already pretty well known, and I believe I missed a cave! By those dregs when I go under the bridge, up above that to the right is another cave and apparently it's an important one to check! Sorry for this little mistake! Happy farming!
• More Spawns On Venus thanks to /r/CheshyreKat : "One cave is to the left of that big pack of enemies you passed, when you commented on "You can kill these if you want, but I jump over them" It goes underneath the entrance to the Draksis/Archon priest area

Just a dew weeks ago, I finally finished grinding out both my Braytech weapons and sleeper nodes in the same day. Here are some useful tips to take note of and methods to efficiently make the most of your time when farming resonant stems.

Preface:

• Braytech weapon drops are completely RNG to obtain, so "farming" for these does not really exist other than obtaining 1 warmind engram per day.

• Sleeper nodes are very tedious to obtain 50 of, but there is are ways to reduce the RNG of getting them.

For Braytech weapons:

1- 4 of the 5 weapons (Braytech Winterwolf, Nilfheim Frost, 18 Kelvins, Fridged Jakal) are obtained through "warmind engrams". You are able to get 1 warmind engram per day per account easily (after one the RNG becomes brutally unforgiving). You can also get a garunteed warmind engram from completing the Nascent Dawn step 1 part of the quest from Ana Bray on Mars.

2- When farming sleeper nodes, the warmind engram will drop in the form of a warmind schematic. It is suggested that if you need to farm sleeper nodes as well, you follow the strategies listed further below to help multitask. The schematic is once again RNG so their is no garunteed nodes that need to be opened in order to obtain them. NOTE: if you do not need sleeper nodes and only need the guns, there is no reason to continue collecting sleeper nodes after getting one until the daily reset due to the drastic decrease in schematic RNG.

3- The Braytech Osprey is an RNG drop from the Strange Terrain Nightfall.

For Sleeper Nodes/Resonant Stems: 1- Though sleeper nodes are RNG as to whether you get a specific one, you can help narrow down where it will be by forging the resonant stems in specific areas.

• If you need Mindlab- combine at Futurescape. If that doesnt work, try Olympus Descent.
• If you need Futurescape- combine at Alton Dynamo. If that doesnt work, try Olympus Descent.
• If you need Dynamo- combine at Mindlab. If that doesnt work, try Olympus Descent.
• If you need Descent- combine at Mindlab. If that doesnt work, try Alton Dynamo.
• If you need Drift- combine at Futurescape. If that doesnt work, try Alton Dynamo

2- Sources of resonant stems are as follows:

• 1 stem from: lost sectors, patrols, normal public event completions, HVT chests
• 2 stems from: heroic public event completions

3- The most efficient way to farm resonant stems is with 2 or 3 (I prefer 2) people.

• Start in the Futurescape: complete the kill enemies patrol, the collect cabal equipment bou

I've played lol from season 2 and in the meantime i switched to dota 2, now i am back and i have just played my 150th ranked game for this season i placed at silver 4 and made it to gold 4 playing all the 5 roles. I noticed after this considerable amount of games that i am inclined in playing the ADC role. What's bothering me is that when i am winning i tend to farm okay, beeing able to maintain 9-10 cs per minute but when the games is not going in my way i tend to fuck up my cs, miss a lot of creeps under turrets and have no idea when i should push or freeze. So i want to improve this aspect of my game in order to continue the climb. I wonder if there is a guide that explains everything about farming efficiently and if you can suggest me one.

Is it something well suited to rice(since most terrace farmed seem to have grown rice), something less feasible when you have livestock for draft animals, what?

I think since launch, I've been somewhat leery of the amount of farming happening within the game, mostly because I worry about the influx of high-level materials and gear so early into the lifecycle of the game somehow impacting the community in a negative way. We can't trade items, currency, or materials, so it doesn't matter at all, right? So far, I think the only thing I see is the launch playerbase having access to farmed legendary weapons with niftier upgrades than newer players, but even then, it's a negligible side-effect.

Any MMO players out there than can help me along with this line of thinking? I want Destiny to last for a while, it's seriously the most fun I've had on the Xbox One so far, and that's after weeks worth of time logged into Titanfall.
