Today the postman showed up with these beautys ... i was shoked (my grandfather is not rich or something) and called him he told me something about the "Weihnachtsmann(Santa)" was late this year because of covid (im 34) ... i was insisting to give them back ... but to no avail... A Question for those who also own Empys what ist your signal chain i only had a ifi zendac and a Xduoo TA20 with a Topping D10 Balanced to compare and i like them the most on tubes so far and i thinking of getting a better Solid State (around 500 euro) but im not shure which one.
Thanks for listening and enjoy your music everyone...

The DMG lists 'titan' as a category of quasi-deity and empyreans, krakens and the tarrasque have 'titan' as a monster tag

I've been meaning to review this game for a while as its probably my most favourite Pokemon fangame of all time. So here goes
Synopsis:
You're the son of a secret agent who moved to the Omuran region for holiday. However, your dad is kidnapped and you have to try and save him, while also completing the gym challenge and uncovering the secrets of the region.
So yea...kinda dark and the game has a lot of them. But let's get onto the gameplay.
Difficulty:
Unlike most fangames, the first 2 gyms were pretty easy and were mostly a breeze. The third gym while harder, wasn't too bad and I only had to reset once. The game starts to get harder around the 4th and 5th gyms but it starts to even out, for lack of a better term, for the rest of the game.
World:
I honestly liked exploring around Omuran, theres a lot of different landscapes and all of the cities/towns from the 3rd gym onwards were very memorable in their own way. My favourite has to be Asutra City, I do like the tropical feel.
However I felt like a lot of the routes were way too long, especially the route between Sylen and Empral. Sure it makes the world feel bigger but it just felt unbearable at times.
The Pokemon:
This game has most pokemon available from Gens 1-7 in addition to a couple new regional forms and fakemon. I feel like the regional forms for this game were really well designed, especially the Omuran Camerupt and Swellow, both of which were on my team. The fakemon are mostly alright but nothing to really stand out. Its funny how they made Petshop a Pokemon.
This game also introduces 4 new types: Light, Data, Gold and Electrolight. I dont think they were implemented as well as Gold and Electrolight dont appear until very late in the game and Data doesnt appear for a good while too.
Visuals
For a Pokemon fangame, the visuals in this game are amazing. I first played the game before it got a massive graphical overhaul and it just feels more real. It feels like something more closer to an anime-style game, weird I know but accompanied with the music, it just feels relaxing.
Characters:
I honestly liked most of the characters. Blitz as a rival was pretty cool, kinda generic but I didn't really mind. Moira was okay too but I didnt like how she turned a whole 180 just before the 7th gym. There are also a few other "sub-rivals" like Hessa and Ashy who I also thought were pretty cool too.

Hey all,
Selling my Meze Empyrean in Jet Black with a 2.5m XLR original cable. Can't justify keeping them now that I have a LCD-5 around. The Meze's are probably the comfiest headphone I ever tried and they sound smooth and super fun.
Headphones are in perfect condition. Pads have a long time ahead of them (leather + Alcantara). Case has a couple minor dings.
Asking $1800 + shipping (your choice of USPS or UPS) or local pickup in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I have an 8 player game coming up in a week. with the following factions:
Sol (Speaker), Xxcha, Argent, Empyrean (Me), Nekro, Ghosts, Muatt, Mentak.
My slice consists of Hope's End & Bereg/Litra on the path to Mecatol, perimeter to my right, an Empty-Beta to my left, and a nebula and empty as equidistants.
Based on pre-game scheming & "trash talk", I have pretty good odds of getting Warfare round 1 and 4 TGs from Argent (with Dark Pact).
Is it worth trying to dive for Mecatol Round 1?
I like the idea of securing my "Guac point" early, and given the other factions and players I have a good chance of beating them there. Plus the Argent and I have been discussing ruling the agenda phase, so there's incentive to get into that early.
But I'm concerned of the Empyrean's vulnerability to early game over extension.
What are people's thoughts? Should I YOLO to the center of the galaxy, or just grab Politics and hold for a Rd 2 MR play? Or should I hold back and try to secure my Frontier tokens early on?
From the graphs Oratory1990 has provided, the Meze Empyrean has a dip at ~9500 Hz, see here. I am using RME ADI-2 DAC and replaced band 1 with 5.0 dB, 9400 Hz and 9.9Q. Am I thinking correct when trying to eq that dip?
I am not using band 7 at all, 5.5 dB, 105 Hz, because the bass is too much for me even with 1.0 dB.
As the title says Id love to get my hands on a "portable mini Empyrean" for around 200-600$(could push it to maybe 1k if its really worth it)
What Im mainly looking for is a laid back sound signature with a punchy but controlled bass response. Furthermore a somewhat constrained treble would be nice aswell. Last but not least comfort matters too.
So far Ive been using the Arias and while I think they offer a great value for their price they sometimes sound boring and emotionless to me. Hence the upgrade.
Many thanks!

I didn't find any discussion about this in the subreddit, so I'd like to draw people's attention to this Forgotten Realms trilogy. I wasn't expecting any planescape type references when I picked up the first book, but having read up to midway of the second book, the story takes you through locales such as Mount Celestia and the Elemental Plane of Fire (and possibly more), and encounters with deva, archons, eladrin, and djinn. If that doesn't whet your appetite, a couple of protagonists are devils (cambion and alu-fiend). Very much enjoying the series so far. ๐

Looking to sell quickly, so will entertain any reasonable offer. Local is 98953

So I was looking into some of the JP text for the Network Test's item descriptions, and figured I'd look at what "Empyrean" was translated from in the Bloody Wolf set, and I thought what I found was pretty interesting.
Official English:
>According to the old legends, wolves are the shadows of the Empyrean.
>
>Vargram aspired to such a state himself.
Original Japanese:
>ๅคใไผๆฟใซใใใฐใ็ผใฏ็ฅไบบใฎๅฝฑใงใใ
>
>ใใซใฐใฉใ ใใพใใใใใใใใๆงใๆใใ
So the word that they translated into "Empyrean" is ็ฅไบบ (Shinjin), broken down it means "God" (็ฅ) "Man" or "Person" (ไบบ)
I'm unsure how this was translated into "Empyrean", but its difficult to properly judge the translation without the full context, since the game isn't out yet, and we can't know what other contexts the term "Empyrean" might end up being used in. This is my disclaimer. It's totally possible that this information will change on release, or that "Empyrean" is an appropriate translation depending on how things pan out on release.
The actual meanings of the word ็ฅไบบ are
Taking this information into account, a possible read of this sentence is:
>"According to old folklore, wolves are the shadows of gods and men."
There is an alternative reading that I think is much more likely, however. The following line:
>Vargram aspired to such a state himself.
is more or less accurate to the original text. Even in the English text, we can infer from this line that the Empyrean is a state of being.
With this in mind, the other possible reading is:
>"According to old folklore, wolves are the shadows of divine men."
This reading makes a lot more sense in the context of the second line, in my opinion. We can assume that Vargram aspired to be a divine, or god-like, man, what the English localisation appears to be calling "the Empyrean."
Another disclaimer, I'm not a professional translator, however I corroborated my investigations with friends who are much more familiar with Japanese than I am. If anyone can provide further insight then feel free to speak up in the comments.
In the meantime, I have the item descriptions and dialogue for Elden Ring available in both English and Japanese in my spreadsheets here if anybody is interested in that: [
