For a given flatpak, the developer is sometimes named on the software installer page e.g. T Voegtlin for the Electrum bitcoin wallet, but it does not seem that the flatpak is packaged by him. When I download the appimage from his site and check its gpg signature, I can be sure it's good, but this doesn't seem to be the case for the flatpak.
Similarly, Signal states: "This flatpak is maintained by the Flathub community, and is not necessarily endorsed or officially maintained by the upstream developers." Who is this community? Any chance of bad actors or are there mechanisms in place to ensure we can trust these packages?
By contract, Tor Browser seems to address this as the flatpak downloaded is an installer "Launcher" that checks the authenticity of the package it then downloads and installs (although this could presumably hacked also?)
For music players and similar, there's probably no concern, but for programs that must be secure like the examples above, can we trust their authenticity and know they have not been tampered with?
I really needed to post here and see what's going on and to let people know the real deal from a real customer as posts are being deleted from the official page when asking this same question.
I purchased an electrum saber 13 months ago. I know its a known thing now that the update they have been promising is over a year late now. Each time someone asks on the Facebook page they are shut down by organised fanboys and cocky remarks by admin/dave fobbing you off.
I feel this is very serious and Im sure somethings up that they are not telling us. The diatum boards they use seem faulty and are a complete mess. I'm pretty sure soon they'll swap to another board and leave us all with diatum sabers and no support.
I feel I need to tell people this if they don't know as many people are realising now we are being lied too and with exuberant restock fees there's no choice to return it, I tried.
My posts are even being deleted now as soon as I post them if I mention anything about the lies and missed release dates which is terrible. I now screenshot my posts should I need them in the future when I expose them if this goes on any longer.
After months of delays they absolutely swore it would be Christmas.... After moaning at them with posts they released another update telling us it's round the corner and the dedicated team is adding finishing touches, "imminent" they quoted..... They then release a custom craft workshop costing thousands of dollars to do and seem to run it with no issues, fully booked. Shouldn't the update be the priority instead of new etching services etc? When I mention this on Facebook the answer is always the same ...... " the software team is completely separate and most of the staff are involved in it" which is a lie. The sabers should have a warning about the broken beta software.
We are now 6 weeks later nearly into February and still nothing. I've not used my saber with flakey sound, non saving profiles and eratic power issues for a year. It's a Shame as it cost a bucket.

I rebased Vertcoin along with support for Verthash on the latest version of Electrum wallet.

I am happy to import it into github.com/vertcoin-project/electrum and manage releases but I don't want to be tasked additionally with running the ElectrumX backend server and look to the community to fulfill that need if they so choose to.
The backend server that Electrum wallet connects to is https://github.com/spesmilo/electrumx/
The master branch of ElectrumX syncs Vertcoin easily from RPC upon configuring electrumx.conf and running via systemd. In order to test, you can connect locally to the Electrum wallet. I had to create an SSL certificate and add SERVICES. Its resource usage seems to be fairly minimal although I am only connecting to my local Electrum wallet.
I will move forward with this project when I receive PR(s) with a few ElectrumX servers added to servers.json
Note: Electrum wallet expects verthash.dat to be in the electrum directory

So, I know there was a retcon that made the atium found in Era 1 actually and electrum-atium alloy. This leaves me with a lot of questions:

Alloys are their own thing. They are not just the addition of two metals, but a completely new one. How does this work for this alloy? The "atium" mistings were actually electrum-atium mistings, or electrum mistings?

So does that mean there's a new power in pure atium we just haven't heard of? Does this same logic apply to feruchemy and hemalurgy, since in all cases it must have been the e-a alloy?

Does each normal metal have a godmetal alloy version, or are e-a and malatium unique?

Related to (1). If it was electrum mistings, then could iron mistings burn steel? Probably not. So then this would mean godmetal alloys follow their own rules and don't act as a new metal and retain the identity of the previous non-godmetal. So gold mistings can burn malatium?

Any idea of what steel/atium alloy does? It seems like Sazed might want to give some to Wax to try out, being his champion and all. Same with lerasium/steel, although I have a feeling that one would just create mistings of steel (although full strength, so again I'm not sure why Sazed holds back on powering up his champion)
