A list of puns related to "Edward James Muggeridge"
Jesse James Edwards scammed me out of $70 today in front of the Superstore at Oxford and Hyde Park.
I'm posting this here because he told me he was coming up to me because I looked about his age (20-30). I googled his name later (he must have given me his real name, idiot) and found he was arrested back in 2020 for several counts of fraud:

THE SCAM: be aware of a man asking for money to get a cab home after leaving his phone in the back of an Uber, and promising to pay by e-transfer. He sent me a fake email which at first glance looks like a legit email from interac. It's not. He sent me $170, NOT $70, blaming his faulty typing on cold hands. He must have wanted me to send him the full $170. I guess I came away lightly, giving him $70 cash, agreeing to 'trust that not everyone's a dick'.
Looks like he hasn't changed any of his tactics within the last year. All the other reports follow this same pattern.
Don't give your money to strangers, no matter the backstory. Period. And clock this guy in the face for me if you see him. Better yet, call the police on the spot. He's pretty recognizable.
As fans, we've been extremely excited to watch the growth of our rookies especially since Sharpe and Edwards were inserted into the starting lineup. The eye test is showing great results, and I wanted to see if the numbers match it. Now that there is going to be an extended period of time without KD, I wanted to see what we have to look forward to. Here are some of the results.
All stats are being taken from Cleanin The Glass which filters out heaves and garbage time. I also took it upon myself to remove lineups with guys like Galloway, David Duke, Ennis, Bruce, Jevon Carter, and basically everyone that isn't part of our actual rotation going forward. Bruce was my cutoff because it seems Bembry took his spot. It didn't seem necessary to see those lineups as this is about a projection of our actual team going forward:

Lineups featuring Harden/Durant/Edwards/Sharpe:
These stats get a little crazy:
With these lineups, we're shooting 75% at the rim, 50% from long-2 and 54.5% from 3 (60% from the corners).
Given that Kevin Durant is going to be out for a while, I wanted to look at some stats WITHOUT Kevin Durant.
= = = = =
Lineups featuring at least Harden/Sharpe/Edwards and no Durant:
We're scoring an average of 104 points per 100 possessions in the half court and 120pts per 100 putback plays. They score an average of 27.3 points a game off of offensive boards and generate 21 extra plays per 100 misses off of the offensive glass.

Lineups featuring Day'Ron Sharpe and no Durant
This is where the number shine. [Our second change points from offensive boar
... keep reading on reddit β‘The stats definitely don't support Ant's comments on Gobert's rim protection. He is so far the best interior defender in the league when it comes to defending / blocking shots at least.
Ant can do better on that end of the floor though.

This is embarrassing and I feel really stupid for believeing this guy, but I thought I grilled him enough about who he was and where he was from and what he was taking to consider him trustworthy. Clearly, as evident through all the various posts on this subreddit alone about him, this isn't his first rodeo.
This prick will go up to you at bus stops (I was near Masonville) and tell you a sob story, which this time was about him leaving his phone in an uber. Somehow (I dont even remember how) I gave him 50 bucks and he "etransferred" me 150 by "accident". So my dumbass walked WITH him to the fucking bank to give him the other 100. I feel like such a fucking moron, and in the moment I really felt bad for this guy. I am worried this shit will make me have issues tusting people.
This happened Saturday, a day before my first exam so I didn't really have time to follow up with him right after (not that he would have responded obviosly), and the only reason why I was out was to pick up my engineering jacket, which wasnt even there! Mine was in the one box that didnt arrive yet, so I was outside for no reason, and lost 150 for no reason.
He was arrested last year for doing the same shit, but hes so stupid hes doing it again. I swear to god if I see him again ill beat his lanky ass:
If YOU happen to see him, beat his ass for me and say it was courtesy of Logan lol
Most games with 40+ points before turning 21:
8 β LeBron James
4 β Kevin Durant
4 β Luka DonΔiΔ
3 β Anthony Edwards
That is some Elite Company. Edwards won't be 21 until August, so he may still be adding up to that total too.
Extra Fun Fact: Edwards is also younger than rookies like Evan Mobley and Scottie Barnes.
Detroit Basketball has returned. The Pistons kicked off the 2021-22 season earlier this week with the inaugural media day and have been taking part in training camp at its New Center facility. Cade Cunningham tweaked his ankle, and so did Frank Jackson, but both appear to be fine long term. Detroit might not win many games this season but it'll certainly be an interesting team to cover night in and night out. I'm looking forward to being back out on the road and covering this team properly. Let's talk Pistons!

I made a game time decision to do a photo op with EJO at the NY Comic Con. Iβd never done something like this before, and to my embarrassment when he turned to me, I kept thinking βoh my god itβs Commander Adamaβ and I stammered βI think Iβm gonna cryβ - he immediately smiled and replied back βI think IβM gonna cryβ - the flash went off, even now I canβt bring myself to look at the photo because I felt like an idiot, but I will never forget his wit, his kindness, and his grace. When those eyes of his turn to yours - whew!
Side note - I did one other photo op before him and I was a little sad at how impersonal and ignored I felt, so he really, really made my day.
Thank you, Mr. Olmos.
I hope this is ok to post.
James Edward Swann Junior killed four people and injured five others, in 1993. He drove around Washington, DC, picking out his victims at random, most within a ten block radius. He would slow down, shoot, then drive away. Sometimes he missed - there were 14 attacks before he was captured. Only once did he exit his vehicle to shoot a victim. He didn't choose his victims based on gender, race, or age. They were crimes of opportunity, with no witnesses.
Initially the police didn't see a pattern. On February 23, 1993, they attended a scene where a pedestrian was shot at, but wasn't hit. The attending officers turned down their radios at the scene, so they didn't hear of the second shooting, 20 minutes later. The first victim to be injured was a young black male, about to start a new job the next day. The cops wrote off the incident as a turf war, despite his protests that he wasn't involved in gangs or drugs.
Three more people were injured, and one man was killed, before March 23, 1993. That is when Elizabeth "Bessie" Hutson was killed while walking her dogs. The police realized that there was a pattern and warned the public, setting off a wave of terror.
Swann killed his last victim on April 19. As he left the scene, he ran a red light in front of a police officer. The officer pursued him and Swann ended up trapped in a parking lot. The police officer noticed the shotgun in Swann's back seat, and took him into custody.
Swann was found not guilty by reason of insanity. He said he had been hearing voices in his head, including that of Malcom X, telling him to clean out the northeast section of Washington. He had a history of mental health issues prior to his crime spree.
Swann has been in the care of a psychiatric hospital ever since. In 2011, he applied for furlough to visit his father. His request was denied.
Thomas Hutson, the father of victim Bessie Hutson, attended the trial and wanted to know why his daughter was murdered. The Washington Post posted an article on his grief and pursuit for answers.
What drew me to this story? I did a Google search for a former classmate and friend, and stumbled upon this tragedy. I knew Bessie Hutson as my friend's cool older sister, and I wished I had a sister like her. I was heartbroken to discover her fate. (You may be wondering about her dogs that were with her - they made it home unhurt).
For those of you who drafted this last weekend in 10/12 team .5 ppr leagues, where did Gus and Robinson get taken in your drafts?(post Dobbins injury of course)
Trying to run a couple mocks to prep for my draft tomorrow night and Iβm seeing Robinson taken in the 5th or 6th round while Edwards is being taken in the 6th/7th. At first I was just scooping them up and starting to think I should hammer pass catchers In rounds 2-4 but Iβm pretty certain that these 2 players will be going much sooner than their sleeper predraft ranking. I think some data points on where these guys went in some actual drafts would be helpful for anybody with a draft coming up this week!
