A list of puns related to "Diwali"

Curious if any of you do this during celebrations or anything akin to it. Personally I do, mostly because itโs my right to do so, but because i truly love what it represents and means. Iโm wondering if any of you have every gotten any flack, or even just questions about it.
I know the air pollution tag has been discussed to death, but the fact is that it's always depicted in a negative light. Even people taking pics during Diwali with rangoli/crackers are memed to death which is stupid as fuck.
Christmas is colorful, has carols, and god forbid if I haven't seen absolutely beautiful decorations all across the world (Even in India in high end malls and elite places - Khan market and such). Dare I say I've seen better Christmas decorations than Diwali ones.
Hell there's a whole genre of Christmas rom-coms where kissing under the mistletoe is mainstream as hell, even in Hindi TV shows I remember Christmas was such a symbol of love and family and what not, and dare I argue Diwali is way better of a family reunification thing IRL but the branding is shit. There is so much that can be done when it comes to showing Diwali in a wholesome manner, but Indian festivals of course are given a negative connotation (Khoon ki holi etc.)
Can't we do something similar for Diwali? Can't we encourage people to spread positivity and wholesomeness? Hell for years all I see is negativity surrounding the festival and everytime it's the same story. Celebs peddling pollution shit, people getting angry and being like 'oohh this time I'll burst more crackers' and then the pollution increases and everyone blames Diwali and moves on. Every. Single. Year. Can't we change the branding to the point where instead of pollution people actually associate it with the festival of lights? I'm sure there are artists and creators lurking this group, like make a sweet short film showing the reunification of the family during Diwali, or show something in a positive light?
Instead of attacking Christmas (which honestly is useless and will only increase the butthurtness you got inside) try and put in some effort to push Diwali as our answer to love and brightness that Christmas so successfully branded it as
May you all get happiness and RTX 3090, PS5, XBOX series X and most importantly aggarwal ke sweets in your homes.....(This wont even happen in my dream lol)....

This may have been my favorite episode of the show and I didnโt realize that Cynthia directed it. She did a great job?
I love that Seema and Carrie both smoke. I love they talk about potential men. All while driving in the back of a car. It reminded me of Big. It was the closest thing to the og series. After yesterdayโs episode I would just be fine watching Carrie helping find Seema a guy for the rest of the series, cause so far itโs the most interesting part.
My (F36) brother (M32) lives in the US. We are from the South of India. He recently married my SIL (F31) there. She is a US citizen and catholic. We haven't met her in person till now. We were supposed to go their wedding in the USA last year when "that which must not be named" happened. They postponed their wedding to April of this year, but we couldn't go as we were under the full blast of the 2nd wave. Anyhow we urged them to go ahead with the wedding and we attended via zoom.
They have now planned to visit us in India from mid October to mid November. They will be staying in a hotel and attending family get togethers including my parents Diwali lunch (4th Nov) when they would be introduced to a large part of the extended family (all vax + tested)
Last week we were having a video call where my SIL told me she is super excited to celebrate Halloween with my Kids (F 7 and 5). I told her sure, we can plan a party with some friends and have some spooky themed stuff. She said, she wants to dress up and take my girls out for some Trick or Treat as auntie-niece time. I told her that here in India no one does that and people would have no clue why you are knocking on their door, let alone have chocolates or sweets ready. What I could do is, inform a few neighbours and friends, buy them sweets ahead and then take her+kids specifically to those houses. She got a bit irritated and told me to forget about it. I was a bit taken aback, but dropped it. I started asking about what she would like to wear for the Diwali lunch. Its an important festival for us and we believe in wearing new clothes that day. She said she'd wear the same dress she wore for her reception (a short white dress). I told her in India, white is worn by widows (though this is now outdated) and wearing new clothes is an important sentiment and we would like to get her something new (as a gift). Maybe an Indian Salwar or saree or if she is uncomfortable, a full length dress. She would meet a lot of elders in our family and we would like her to dress a bit conservatively as they would not be comfortable.
She totally blew up and told me that If I was going to be so pushy, she won't come to the Diwali lunch at all and if she can't dress up for Halloween then she won't dress up for a pagan thing and she said many other things which were rude about our culture. I was upset as I felt that I had done nothing to warrant such a reaction. I got angry and told her if Diwali was pagan, so was Halloween.
