Is it only 3 REI and volunteers who go to CEFE/jungle training?
In other words, if I went to 2 REI or 13DBLE, is there a likelihood of having to go to the jungle at some point?
They have nice Caribbean coasts. They could benefit from tourism.
Respect the mediocrity we barely deserve!
Hello everyone. I'm a bit new to Reddit. I'm a 21 year old university student. I'm from Guyana in South America. I'm currently studying for a Doctor of Optometry degree. I love reading, writing, mailing letters to penpals, baking, music, cooking and spreading kindness. I believe we are all uniquely special and beautiful. I love impacting the lives of others in an uplifting way. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
I'm visiting Guyana with my family in about two weeks and I was wondering how the card payment situation is these days.
We're only staying in Georgetown for one day after which we'll be going to Queenstown where my family lives. I've read online that cash is still the way to go, though i'm a bit cautious carrying a lot of cash with me and I'd rather use my Visa card for most payments.
Is this widely available or should I try to combine both cash and card for my stay?
Frontera (FEC.to, FECFF) and CGX Energy (OYL.v, CGXEF) are drilling the Kawa-1 exploration well offshore Guyana. It is on trend with several successful wells in Block 25 of Suriname. It is 90% drilled but has slowed down, ostensibly to carefully manage higher pressures at depth where the priority targets lie.
Here are the two charted together over a one-year time frame:

Here is the odd thing. Frontera is producing -- almost 40K boe/d. CGX does not produce. Frontera owns directly and indirectly 88% of the Demarara and Corentyne blocks. Kawa-1 well is in the NE corner of the Corentyne block.
Frontera's market cap is roughly C$950 M. CGX's market cap is roughly C$737 M. Frontera's trailing EV/CF ratio is 2.7 which suggests that it is cheap based on existing conventional, onshore production.
Frontera strikes me as the lowest-risk way of playing Kawa-1 yet the market clearly does not agree. Am I missing something?

So I work with someone who has family living in Guyana and will be visiting soon. Where I live my only access to Demerara rums have been El Dorado 12 and Pusser's, which I have liked quite a bit. I know that DDL makes a ton of rum and for instance in the UK there is far more selection of Demerara rums but don't know much about them. I haven't been able to find online a good resource about what might be available IN Guyana as opposed to export only rums. Any recommendations I should give my colleague about what to bring back and what they could realistically find? My focus is primarily on tiki drinks but enjoy just about all rum cocktails (and in the right context sipped neat, but this is rare).
