Even though i have stayed outside Bihar for all my life but i have my roots there and every thing that we do or follow have come from the society we have there. So now that I'm of typical marriageable age , i am finding so many things hard to digest , first why does this bhumihar caste so rigid about everything and what are these requirement for a a girl like totally unbearable , an average girl can't get married without 100 rejections because of acne marks or loud laughter or being open in speaking her mind.
What are these families looking for , or even the guys who are in this process ?
I'm sorry for this rant but this arrange marriage process , this caste and then the demands ( both looks and dowry) are really getting to me.

I want to create a Bihar centric website. It would strictly have non-political content and is not intended to bring about changes to society of grandeur proportions. I just want to write about the state and see where it goes.
As is always the case with choosing a name, I have been stuck on it for a couple of days now and I know I won't be able to figure it out anytime soon.
This is where I need your help. I believe this is the right place to ask for this due to your affiliation with the state.
