Purchased in an antique shop in France in about 2003. Itβs about 10 inches tall. Appears to be some sort of canteen but has a very small opening that might be difficult/slow to fill. No year on the bottom but engraved into bottom is βMarque Desposeeβ around βH (diesis) Fresβ.

I was just reading about Diesis, which is the difference between three justly tuned major thirds in a row, and an octave. It made me wonder if the the reason a soloist's vibrato sounds good is because they are playing both sides so to speak.
I'm sure there are other examples of notes that when played together force some kind of comma that could be reconciled by one or many instruments using vibrato.
