A list of puns related to "Derisory"
So I ordered 3 laptop keyboards. The parcel arrived in good time, but the seller had sent US keyboards which are useless to me. The whole purpose of me ordering these keyboards was to replace US keyboards on 3 Thinkpads I am refurbing with UK ones.
Now to be clear, it was definitely not my mistake. The listing very specifically said to check the pictures, the pictures showed UK keyboards. There were no variants to select. The seller had a variety of other listings with pictures of US and other country's keyboards, so clearly the listing I bought from was supposed to be UK keyboards. 100% seller mistake.
On the day of receipt I raised an issue. My first mistake was not understanding how the Ali system works and raising the obvious "return for refund" issue. Of course the buyer simply accepted this, leaving me to return at my own expense, which is totally unacceptable. After fuming about this for a week and seriously considering a chargeback, I realized that I could cancel the issue and open a new one, fortunately I was still within the timescale to do so. So this time I opened a "partial refund" issue, but asked for the full amount as my "partial refund". I stated in the issue that I don't want the items, but that it is unacceptable for me to be stuck with the expense of return, so if the seller wants them back they can send me a shipping label.
The seller made an "offer" of no refund and no return with a comment in broken english that they had sent according to the picture, despite my evidence pictures clearly showing different keyboards to the listing. I rejected this, the dispute then ran out the clock and went to Ali.
Ali came in with the judgement in my favor, but two derisory proposals: A 10% refund, or return at my expense for a full refund. I have rejected these proposals, the seller unsurprisingly accepted them.
As far as I'm concerned the only acceptable solutions are me getting a full refund or getting the goods that I ordered. Regarding the items they have sent, it's up to them to bear the cost if they want them back. I don't give a shit what Ali's policy says about buyer paying return postage, in a case that is 100% the seller's fault it is unacceptable to make the buyer bear the cost of the seller's mistake. I've already made up my mind that I will go the chargeback route if necessary.
So does anyone have any tips on how to proceed? I'm not even clear on what happens next when a buyer rejects Ali's own proposal.
UPDATE: On the off chanc
... keep reading on reddit β‘So I work in a hotel and one of my co-workers who I hardly see just interrupted a serious discussion I was having with my colleague about how to resolve some predicament a guest was facing by talking about an unfamiliar incident then turning to me sarcastically stating 'you're very talkative aren't you?'. I can infer from the tone that this is not a jovial, innocuous platitude but rather something that indicates great offense at a supposedly negative attribute.
I just really don't appreciate anyone casting hateful aspersions onto one of my biggest insecurities; an insecurity whose entire reasoning is based upon an ardent desire to stave off the fear of being prematurely judged.
I've experienced this dynamic on countless occasions in my life and I feel it's just galling for anyone whose dominant preoccupation is maintaining harmony with others around them to be accused of disturbing that said harmony - through doing absolutely nothing.
This kind of arrogant extraversion is something i really struggle to tolerate and understand. It strikes me as so callous to ridicule someone's natural behaviours without first considering the wider context. I realise said accuser will have his own reasons for speaking as he does but I'm just fed up with this type of thing.
Looking for some solidarity and reassurance - anyone here been subject to something similar?
