A list of puns related to "Cubic Millimetre"
Or other elementary particles?
The new Quandrix commander deck, with slight modification (literally just add a single creature with mutate), could destroy the universe. I'm not talking about "it could create a force so powerful it could destroy the MTG multiverse", I mean that, by following the axioms and steps listed in this post, it could literally destroy the universe we live in. Some of the axioms are just true, and some of them we're assuming to be true for convenience's sake. None of them are patently ridiculous at their face.
Obviously you're not gonna make a doomsday device out of a stack of cards, which is why I specified following the axioms, at least one of which would be difficult to follow in real life while following the steps listed here. But in the name of mad science, let's ignore the impossibility and charge ahead recklessly anyway! Warning: this post will contain maths. It's Quandrix, after all.
Axiom 1: You have the correct setup. On your field you have the cards Deekah, Fractal Theorist; Esix, Fractal Bloom; and a mutated creature that is on top of Adrix and Nev, Twincasters (so that it has the Twincasters' effects without being Legendary). In your hand you have four instants or sorceries, the casting of which in any combination cannot end the game. Don't worry about why we need this setup, it's fine, the universe is about to end anyway, no time for questions.
Axiom 2: Your opponent has done and will do nothing to get rid of your creatures, end the game, or prevent you from casting spells or activating or resolving abilities. A doomsday weapon is a very fragile device and we can't have anyone messing that up.
Axiom 3: You have enough lands to cast the spells you want.
Axiom 4: You will not deck yourself out within the next three turns.
Step 1: Cast an instant or sorcery. Deekah activates, attempting to create a Fractal token. Esix activates, targeting your mutated technically-not-Legendary creature, turning the token into a copy of it. Your mutated creature activates, doubling the token. The final result of this is that two tokens are created, each with the abilities "Ward {2}. If one or more tokens would be created under your control, twice that many of those tokens are created instead."
Axiom 5: Whenever a token is created, an object with the dimensions and physical makeup of a tournament legal Magic card representing the token is placed onto your side of the field, or as close as possible to it.
Step 2: Pass your turn.
Step 3: On yo

Ultimately, this may shed some light upon which devices are used in which contexts.
This technology has the interesting distinction, in canon at least, of being (so far as I can tell) the oldest of the technologies which will be discussed here, having existed since at least the time of the High Republic, several centuries before the Trade Federation's blockade of Naboo. This makes a certain amount of sense, as we will later see, given the distinct limitations it suffers from, it is likely that this was the first method used by ground-based vehicles, with other forms of locomotion only being developed as a response to specific countermeasures developed that could neutralise Repulsorlifts.
Drawbacks:
An important distinction here is that which separates ground-based repulsorlift technology from what is used by aircraft. Whilst some forms of Repulsorlift could allow craft to freely adjust their position along the Z-Axis (such as those aboard the Koro-2 Airspeeder), it seems that many vehicles were outfitted with a technology that only permitted them to hover a set distance above any surface. If, for whatever reason, this distance were to be exceeded, the vehicles would descend to the normal level. This can be seen with Anakin Skywalker's Podracer, which achieves great height through the use of a ramp, but cannot maintain it and returns to its normal altitude in short order, but also in the speeder bikes and troop transports used by Moff Gideon's Imperial Remnant. In all cases, the same phenomenon is observed. The vehicles cannot maintain elevation above the nearest surface beyond a certain limit, and if this limit is surpassed, it will reduce to normal (but not so quickly as to be fatal for the occupants). Presumably, therefore, any sharp rise in topography beyond the vehicle's "separation" from the ground, would prevent it from p

Go post NSFW jokes somewhere else. If I can't tell my kids this joke, then it is not a DAD JOKE.
If you feel it's appropriate to share NSFW jokes with your kids, that's on you. But a real, true dad joke should work for anyone's kid.
Mods... If you exist... Please, stop this madness. Rule #6 should simply not allow NSFW or (wtf) NSFL tags. Also, remember that MINORS browse this subreddit too? Why put that in rule #6, then allow NSFW???
Please consider changing rule #6. I love this sub, but the recent influx of NSFW tagged posts that get all the upvotes, just seem wrong when there are good solid DAD jokes being overlooked because of them.
Thank you,
A Dad.
Well, toucan play at that game.

They also play roles in Lord of the Rings.
I guess that makes them the Tolkien white guys.

I finally got around to measuring this with a salinity refractometer. The method was:
Itβs surprising that the salinity of sea monkeysβ water is so low, considering that Artemia salina is only found in hyper-saline waters. However, the literature does say that this is probably because they are delicious and quickly eaten in waters where predators can survive. If Artemia salina βNYOSβ was bred to live in this low salinity, then it suggests that the most appropriate companion plants and animals would come from brackish waters, closer to the interior than the coast. The low salinity also opens us up to some interesting aquaponics experiments π€
TLDR: The final salinity of Sea Monkeys water purifier solution is 10 parts per thousand. This means that you add 10 grams of pure salt to 1000 grams of distilled water to make it, which is 1 gram of salt per 100 grams of water. You may want to use aquarium salt, I used βpure sea saltβ, which may or may not have all of the other trace elements that are found in saltwater.

The following post was originally posted here in /r/Smartphones, and gained 25 upvotes within 12 hours. My post was on-topic and more popular than the 24 other hot posts on the first page.
Then the upvote count stagnated, which made me suspicious, and I noticed it was removed. No notice about said removal was given. My friendly inquiry asking for an explanation has not been responded to yet, after three days.
Upon further investigation, I found out that that place is owned by Apple fans, even though it proclaims neutrality in its side bar. To avoid drama, I am not yet sharing further details. Suffice to say, the removal of my post, as well as the neglect of my inquiry, is a moddiquette violation.
One can only imagine how much work and evolution went into designing a data storage device which can cram hundreds of gigabytes into few cubic millimetres of space.
This is not merely about the known benefits of expandable storage, such as retrievability from a defective device, zero latency, uncompromised ergonomy, and instant re-use, but also:
MicroSD cards are a masterpiece of technology. While unsuitable for long-term storage, hundreds of gigabytes on fingernail size would have been considered a pipe dream in the floppy disk age! And now, vendors increasingly forego this grace of technological progress.
Mobile phones not having a MicroSD card slot, and operating system developers making it ever more difficult to use them properly, is absolutely dismissive and disrespectful of technological progress and all the work that went into making such a masterful storage device possible.
Memory cards are designed for such devices! All that work that went into making them is more and more wasted if vendors forego such card slot. Outright unthankful to those who created such technology.
This is not merely a rant, but food for thought, for another perspective to look at it. Imagine putting work into designing a masterpiece of technology, but it is increasingly being denied from enriching users' lives. That's precisely what is happening. And it only adds to the [disaster](https://en.everybodywiki.com/Benefits_of_replaceable_ba
