A list of puns related to "County Commissioner"
A swarm of Christian Nationalists descended on the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners monthly evening meeting on Thursday 1/13/22 and interrupted the meeting repeatedly. Commission Chair Tootie Smith warned any more interruptions would not be tolerated and that the board would clear the chamber and resume virtually through zoom. Moments later when Commissioner Martha Schrader via Zoom was commenting on the weekly Covid19 update, sharing that a family member had contracted Covid, "Proganda!" was heckled from the audience. True to her word, Commission Chair Tootie Smith recessed the in-chambers meeting then, and the commission left to go continue the meeting virtually.
After the Commissioners left the chamber room, the Christian Nationalist group's leaders spoke to the crowd of 40-50 for over an hour before exiting the building. Topics ranged from the stolen 2020 election, Trump still being the legal president, ending mail-in ballots, getting god back into government, taking over school boards, masked mandates(many had arrived without masks, only wore them when presented with a choice of leaving, and took them off as soon as the commissioners left), Biden took power through a coup, the corona virus was created as a tool under Fauci and nefarious deep state actors... all the great hits. Commissioner Mark Shull came back to the chamber, spoke to the crowd, thanked them for showing up, and was assured by several in the crowd that "..you're one of the good ones." They closed with a prayer.
Call the Douglas County Commissioners at (402) 444-7025 to log your opinion on Omaha's mask mandate. You can hit 1 to oppose it or 2 to support it. You can hit either number immediately upon connecting to the number, no waiting necessary.
These MFers are blocking the distribution of $5M to RRISR and $3.7M to LISD over the argument that these districts have schools with X-rated books in their libraries.
What the actual fuck!
βAs of Dec. 7, Williamson County had $18 million of unencumbered CARES Act funds remaining. Local governments have until Dec. β
This is a disgrace! These schools need this money! These students need this money.
It is inadmissible that our officials decide to put the interests of our children aside to masturbate over an ideological culture war.

I know his district is mostly western Lane county, but he does have a small part of Bethel that he represents. So Eugene what do you think?
I'm not a fan of the top brass in Pasco County. I think they lack transparency/accountability, are unwilling to engage in open communication, and they have a fixation on crowding the county with more houses/people while ignoring the people who already live here. This opinion is backed by my observations and personal experiences in my 32 years of living here in the county.
I just want to know if my sentiment is shared by the community and thought this sub would be a good microcosm of the involved/aware citizens. If I run, it will be with a strong anti-establishment lean. I know Fitzpatrick has only served 2 years and may not be a part of that establishment, but from what I've seen, she's been indifferent to the mentioned issues and the land developers like her well enough.
This post is more about the sentiment of the current regime, but I'm also curious if you'd even consider voting for someone whose education/experience is in Engineering/Continuous Improvements with ZERO government experience? Instead of being a nice public speaker, I would use my expertise to bring action to the Commissioner role by rewriting or recreating policies and systems to address my concerns... You know, instead of doing backroom deals, ignoring the citizens, and collecting a six-figure paycheck sitting through a meeting once/week.
Any insight is appreciated!
