A list of puns related to "Content Marketing"
For me, it was realizing the functional and strategic differences between news content, web content (like blogs, etc), and newsletter content. Totally changed the way I approached each of them.
What was it for you?
It has been a long time coming but HornHub is FINALLY getting its beta release TODAY at 5PM EST!! ππ½ Thatβs right, in just over 12 hours the site will be getting opened up to some incredible content creators! ππ» These guys and girls are top of their game and will be working closely with lucky members of the community to test and enjoy every single part of the site! π€©
As HHUB heads ever closer to its eventual release, word is spreading like wildfire about the most revolutionary content creation platform in the crypto space! π₯The team could not be more excited or proud of how far the project has come! π In celebration they have organised over 200k of marketing, including major YouTubers, Influencers, brand ambassadors, merchandise and feature article landing on over 500 news outlets around the world! π
This is going to be next level insane! We hope you are all ready for this! π€©
But what is Hornhub? π€
Hornhub is an incredible project that bridges the gap between content creation and cryptocurrency β and aims to become most revolutionary fan subscription platform in the world! π
So how does it work? π§
Using an intuitive, social-media-styled platform native to the Binance Smart Chain, the project will utilise its upcoming subscription-based website to allow content creators (known as βTalentsβ) to autonomously build and run their own hub, connect directly with fans, and securely and instantly earn for their original content. π
The project also incorporates a trio of fundamental utilities that link together to form the foundation of the company. π§±
Firstly, there is the subscription-based platform itself, which β due to its on-ramping of Fiat β requires no cryptocurrency knowledge for customers to use! Just a simple credit or debit card! π³
At the back end the site is directly connected to the second utility β the $HHUB cryptocurrency token. The payments buy these tokens for use on the site, but also grow the project at the same time! π³
The third utility is the upcoming HornHub Marketplace, where NFTs can be bought, sold and traded by fans - all while earning royalties in perpetuity for the performers who minted them with the simple click of a button. π±

... keep reading on reddit β‘Probably a dumb question, but itβs a genuine one. Iβve been feeling a little discouraged here as of late. I feel like everything I see on this sub and in general for marketing is about SEO work, content writing, and just digital stuff in general.
What I really want to do is R&D work. That or stuff like product/brand management.
I've accepted a job as Head of Content for a tech company. Alongside my being a native English speaker (something they desperately need amid a largely Francophone team), they were more swayed by my content strategy, copy, and brand voice skills over my somewhat-lacking skill-set in terms of tools.
They work with an external SEO agency and seem unfused that my SEO knowledge is bare-boned.
Between now and late Jan, I have the opportunity to learn some tools on my own e.g. Hubspot, bettering my Google Analytics.
What tools would you consider essential e.g. your top 5?
I'm thinking keyword tools, heat maps, competitive analysis, email marketing, anything else.
Thanks in advance.
Hallo lovelies!
This is the third in my series of posts about creating and updating a content portfolio / freelance writing website, where I am using my own website redesign as an example. The hope is that you can use my ideas and changes to help you think about your own portfolios and websites, so you can attract more clients.
Previous posts:
I partly structure my website based on the types of services I provide to clients. I do this for several reasons:
Prior to my redesign, I have nine main service pages aligned around my services as a B2B writer:
According to Google Analytics, my "Article and blog post" service page and my master service page are the fourth and fifth most popular pages on the site, respectively - with six of the service pages appearing in the top 20 most visited pages. There is some crossover between these pages - for example, the "Writing for Business" page may also include articles and ebooks, etc.
So, these are important parts of the website - not as specialized as expertise / niche pages (more on those in a future post), but certainly in terms of showing I can do each of these types of work.
This means I need to be careful about any restructuring of these pages.
The idea of my service pages is that whenever a potential client visits one, they can see everything related to that particular service. Here's what I currently include:
More than content creation.
Content Marketing and distribution of content should be the business's major concerns.
Everybody is creating content, it's the bare minimum for any brand or B2B business online.
What's important is how you are able to channelize that content strategically to bring better results.
It requires a structured plan and thorough pathway from content creation to distribution and further data analysis.
What do you think is more important Content creation or content marketing?
Looking for some good opinions on this one.
That's enough slices, guys. u/create-presence suggested a discord, here it is: https://discord.gg/vMU5GSKW
Join and ask me questions and show me your projects. I will help you and it will give me ideas for content.
Don't like discord? That's okay. Me either. Here's a survey to stay updated. I need content ideas so it would help to answer the questions but none of them are required. https://tally.so/r/nGY8e3
I fucking love marketing. I more or less got into it by starting my own business and learning the ropes. After a while though, I decided to dissolve the company and follow my passion as a freelancer.
I'd like to start my own marketing content blog because, well, I like talking about it lmao.
I also want to create something that I wish I had.
The reason I haven't started it yet is that I'm a little bit of a honey badger. I only want to make content or talk about things that interest me. This means it's not going to be niche, involve a specific channel, expertise, or marketing style.
But I realized, there might also be an audience for this--small business owners, hustlers, and startup founders.
This is why I'm here today asking this question: Does any of this sound even remotely appealing?
Edite: There's clearly some interest here, so I'm going to go ahead and do it. My next question, for anyone that sees this: What are you currently struggling with when it comes to marketing? What topics do you want to see covered? What would you want to learn?
Hallo lovelies!
I get all of my freelance writing leads through my website, specifically through content marketing my services as a freelance writer. I last updated my website and portfolio in early 2020, and it's high time for an update.
I thought it would be helpful to share my ideas, thoughts, and processes here as I refresh the website, in the hope it will give you some ideas on creating and updating your own portfolio. So, this will be a series of posts that will build on each other. Hopefully, you'll identify with some of the challenges I'm having, and can remix and adapt my solutions to your own portfolios and websites.
In this post, I'll share my reasons for updating, together with some early thoughts.
My reasons for updating my website
Moving from Squarespace to WordPress
I've loved Squarespace for a long time, but I'm now bumping up against its limitations. It's slow, especially on mobile devices, due to the amount of javascript and CSS that it creates. It's quite awkward to update, and tough to add in some extra functionality that I want. The slowness, in particular, is an issue as I'm not able to get new posts and pages indexed due to the load times, so something has to be done!
While I don't love WordPress, it is *very* customizable, and I will be using tools like Elementor and templates to make the whole process easier. WordPress has a ton of plugins that will be helpful too.
Refocusing my writing services and niches
I've discovered that there are some types of writing I don't want to do - like website landing pages, newsletters, etc. Instead, I want to refocus entirely on in-depth articles, guides, and white papers. So, I'll be strengthening those services pages and removing some unnecessary ones.
I'm also refining my niches - I currently have around 50 on the site, and I want to reduce that substantially to strengthen those I am most interested in. I'll probably end up with about 20 - 30 niches, all of them aligned to business, finance, and technology.
I'm also going to remove any reference to B2C writing as I'm now exclusively a B2B writer.
Updating my portfolio
I have around 450 portfolio pages, with links to my published content. Some of that content is 5+ years old, and it's... not great! So, I'll be deleting old portfolio pieces and removing pieces in niches I don't want to write in. I also haven't updated my portfolio in 18 months, so it's a good chance to add in some more up-to-date work.
**Preserve my
... keep reading on reddit β‘December 2021 made it one year and nine months since I began a YouTube channel for a client. We took that channel from 0 to 48,000 in a year. It's currently at 54k subscribers.
I also work with a SaaS as a Senior Marketing Manager (content marketing) and within 5 months, we've grown MRR from $120k to $230k.
These were mostly done on the back of content marketing. I'll share a few tips if you're looking to incorporate content into your marketing strategy.
Content is a long-term game but yields the most consistent result compared to all other marketing types. However, results begin to show within 3 to 6 months of proper execution.
Content marketing is a conversation between your business and your target audience that attracts new customers.
Start by identifying who your target audience is. Create a customer persona. It helps you identify where they spend the most time and what channels you should use to reach them.
Then create a buyer journey for your target persona (awareness, consideration and decision). Answer questions across all stages of your customer journey and take them from naive visitors to informed buyers.
Content for the awareness stage should be educational/informational. These could be how-tos, answers to why what, where and when questions.
Content for the consideration stage should be the benefits of your product or service without embellishing facts. This content should focus on how it will solve their problem. Identify and answer questions that the potential buyer is going to think of as they gain more information about you and your competitors.
Content for the decision stage should be transactional. Are you offering a free trial? Are you offering discounts if they start with your product now? Is there a money-back guarantee? What payment plans do you have available?
Your content strategy should be aligned with your specific business goal at the time.

A while back, I was interviewing an acquaintance for a content marketing position. We had connected through LinkedIn and were from the same city.
My boss had asked me to do an initial screening with her. I reached out and asked for writing samples since the position involved writing on a daily basis.
In a few of the samples, I could see some glaring grammar errors. However to give her the benefit of doubt, I also ran her samples through Grammarly and it came up with a huge list of its own.
When I conveyed that her samples contained errors, she was very offended. She said that she had years of writing experience and that nobody had pointed out errors in her samples to date. And how I was the only one to do so and so I must be wrong.
I conveyed this to my boss and the outrage she felt. Needless to say that she wasnβt even interviewed. Was it wrong on my part to point out her mistakes? I did it with the aim that she would correct them and others wouldnβt point them out leading her to miss out on future opportunities.
Or are there any other facets of marketing that brings you higher ROI?

Hey everyone!
I'm rather new to the VO game, I've done some work on and off over the past year due to my busy schedule with school and day jobs. I did alot of voices and vocal practice growing up, mainly with character acting. Although I am not "professional" I did have the opportunity to work with a demo company and get my first character demo done! So I feel I'm on a good path to getting this going!
So to any VOs who are well on their way, what did you do for your branding and marketing when you started out?
Anything helps, thank you!
Hallo lovelies!
This is part 2 of my writing portfolio website refresh. You can find part 1 here, which will give you some context for this series of posts. The aim of these guides is to share my thinking in putting together a portfolio website so you can use some of this information when you're designing your own content marketing and online presence.
In this post, I'll go into some of the design decisions I'm making to present my writing services in the best possible way. I've linked to my "before" and "after" websites in the comments.
My existing website already has a design that works well - I've been told by clients and others that they enjoy the simplicity and clean look of the site. That's great, because my main website audience is B2B marketers, who don't have a huge amount of time to compare people.
But, I also feel that I can tweak the old design a little to create some more visual interest. So, here's what I am keeping from the old design and adding in for the new.
What I'm keeping from the existing design:
That said, I am making some

I have been using social media for promotion for some time now, but it is not making much impact for my business. I do not know if I am doing it right or wrong. Do you just post things, use interesting captions, put hashtags and wait?
in IG or FB, is carousel an effective tools to nurture leads?
if we use carousel as an ad, does it help in conversion?
Do you think carousel is a way for content marketing?
I have been a general writer for a while now,
moving heavily towards creating content around marketing for b2b companies, challenges when it comes to implementing content marketing, getting results etc.
Want to know from your side,
what are your major roadblocks?
Looking for career advice. I'm 35, UK-based and a freelance copywriter who accidentally wound up in entertainment journalism, where I was promoted to Lead.
I need to GTFO of media. So far, I've been rejected from UX writing/content design roles for a very valid reason: I'm strong on the writing, weak on the UX and design. I'm also acutely aware that right at the bottom of pay brackets are "content marketer" and "copywriter", whereas "content designer" and "UX writer" can earn nearly double. Like, seriously huge gaps, there.
If you were me: Would you take a pay cut and start low-level UX to work up and eventually earn more? Stay in content marketing and secure a better salary? Ummm, take what I can get?
Edit to add: Aware there might be a pro-UX bias here... I am posting in /r/uxwriting, after all.
If you require impressive and informative blog posts and articles, you can count on me for excellent content that is always delivered on time, surpassing your expectations.
I have one and a half years of experience in the digital content creation industry. While my primary subjects include mental health, marketing communication, real estate, health, wellness, and lifestyle, I am perfectly capable of producing well-written content on any particular topic requested by you.
My focus is on delivering engaging content that is SEO optimized and insightful for your target audience. I charge only 5 cents per word (via PayPal only). Being a liberal arts student has taught me the value of research, and as a result, I'm comfortable with covering a wide range of topics. I can write from diverse perspectives while utilizing your brand tone to give a more personalized touch.
Here is my portfolio, Feel free to send me a PM or chat if you have any questions and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks for your time!

Hey guys, long time no seen! Now that we've got the holidays behind us, I'll start with the regular SEO tip posts every other day or so!
Starting with our first tip, how to build a ton of links via content marketing.
Done right, content marketing can help you build dozens, even hundreds of backlinks - all with a single blog post.
But first, letβs back off for a minute:
βIsnβt content marketing the same thing as SEO?β
Not exactly. SEO does involve some content marketing (youβre creating content to sell a product/service, after all), but content marketing doesnβt have to do anything with SEO.
You can create quality content that resonates with your audience and, instead of hoping it ranks for Google, promote it organically via email, social media, etc.
Here are some tips on how Iβve managed to make content promotion work for me:
If you promote your article on β5 ways to tie a tieβ on Facebook, no oneβs going to want to read it. Itβs just such a niche topic that most people simply donβt care.
Rather, most online communities want to read long-form, action-packed, experience-backed content you wrote yourself (and didnβt copy-paste from somewhere on the internet).
Do: SEO Case Study - 0 to 200,000 Monthly Organic Traffic in 2 Years

You can look up communities in your niche (e.g. find the right subreddit) and see the top-performing content.
For example, you can hop over to /r/seo and check what the top content of all time is. See what the community finds interesting and important.
Then, create something thatβs even better than that.
When posting your content on social media, Reddit, Hacker News, or whatever, instead of drive-by dropping your link and bailing, give the community a reason to want to read it.
One good approach here is to repurpose the content for the given social media platform and attach a link at the bottom of the post or in the comments. This way, you give value first, and then ask for something in return.
Not all content promo channels are effective.
For example, LinkedIn groups get zero engagement whatsoever. Quuu Promote is going to get you some shares, but almost no reads.
Instead of trying random channels and seeing what sticks, hereβs whatβs worked for me in the pa
