A list of puns related to "Columella"
Had open rhino just over 2 weeks ago, only thing that's really bothering me right now is my columella incision. It is noticeably swollen in front of the incision so it raises down a bit before the incision - i'm assuming (hoping) this is just swelling and relatively normal.. and should decrease over time. But in addition to this on my left hand side just before going into the nostril it looks a bit red and bumpy. Surgeon says this is normal (from a blurry ish photo i sent him) etc, but haven't really seen much on here about a lumpy looking incision. The photos i've seen everyones incision seems very smooth and just a little red around the incision line which i was hoping would be my case.
Hopefully some others can give me some reassurance or whether you encountered something similar.
I thought it might be a suture that was a little inflamed or trying to be pushed out but my surgeon used dissolvable stitches and I can't see any stitches in the area at all. There is no pain, or signs of infection just a raised red bump.
I am in no way ready to go out in public with it like this as it is very obvious!
Has anybody every examined these structures in a Root sample with a microscope? If so do you have any suggestions. I know this is a super niche question
