A list of puns related to "Capital Punishment In Iran"
There is a lot of lies circulating about Iran executing innocent peaceful protestors. These are big lies.
Iran executes criminals of the highest crimes. The 3 young men recently sentenced to death were given such a sentence since they committed armed robbery. Anyone who uses arms against the public in Islam are to be treated as مفسد فی الارض and are sentenced to death for it.
These people were also involved in torching banks during the riots following a small price rise in oil earlier in the year in Iran.
It is really disgusting how the world decides to grow hearts for the worst of all criminals and blasts Iran over anything for propaganda. Really shameful that people follow these propaganda against the fact that there is a credible justice system in place there and capital punishment is only given after the very very serious crime is proven.
I'd like to know your opinion about this kind of death sentence, which I've read many times it was considered the most shameful, as was crucifixion before Emperor Constantine's conversion to Christ; usually reserved for traitors, petty thieves and low-life criminals, especially in comparison with beheading, which was regarded as a honorable way of dying, reserved for nobles. Thanks a lot!

Atlanticism and especially Anglosphere unity has been a basic foundation of U.S. foreign policy in the post-WWII era.^1 Every American president, especially during the cold war, did trumpet and has trumpeted the depth and value of Western cultural unity. But a cursory look at the list of countries which still practice capital punishment show that the only country besides America that could be described as Western is Japan, a country in many ways quite culturally dissimilar from the U.S.
Many of the countries on that list are countries which are frequently criticized by the American government for their human rights records, and are in large part held to be barbaric by the American public. Stories of Iran hanging homosexuals are broadcast throughout American media with heavy undertones of judgement and contempt. And yet little consideration in the mainstream American political discourse is given to the thought of what drives the shared practice of capital punishment in both countries generally.
What is it that's common among all the countries that practice capital punishment?
