Monoplacophoran mollusks, thought to be extinct for 380 million years, were discovered thriving on the bottom of the ocean in 1952. There are currently 20 extant species of monoplacophorans making these mollusks some of the very few survivors since the Cambrian period, long before the dinosaurs.

Cambrian Period resources?

Hi all!

I am new to Reddit, I joined because I am fascinated by the Cambrian Period/Cambrian Explosion. I was wondering if anyone knew of any media resources (podcasts, audiobooks, movies) that they recommend on the subject! Books are also welcome, however I prefer resources that I can listen to because I have ADHD. I have seen David Attenborough's First Life and listened to all the podcast episodes I could find that mentioned the Cambrian Period. Thanks so much for your help, I'm so excited to be joining this community!
