With the default Apocalypse settings, only the player can trigger house alarms. While I used to think that was fine, I just learned that this can lead to situations where a zombie horde smashes every window and tears the doors off of a house, but if you go up and start removing the broken glass from one of the windows the zombies broke, the alarm will trigger.
Do yourself a favor. Turn on, "Zombies house alarm triggering," in the sandbox zombie settings, so you don't get surprised by this silly scenario.

Extra info: this alarm seems to belong to a business, not a private home. It has gone off several times in the past but never for this long. Is there anyone I can complain to, despite being unable to ascertain where exactly the alarm is coming from?
As I checked the security cameras and saw nothing, again, I recalled something about spirits and vampires not showing up on cameras.
I have a fairly neutral (suburban Maryland) American accent so I'd be really intrigued to see one for that.
