A list of puns related to "Brooklyn's Abraham Lincoln High School"
Hey all, wanted to run through my experience here for the sub:
The line was two hours long, and it was almost entirely outside. My appointment was for 4pm and I got to the front around 6pm. Make absolutely sure you dress for the weather. Several people were not dressed for the cold, especially after the sun started setting. They looked miserable.
If you are elderly/disabled or with someone elderly/disabled, do NOT wait in the line. You can go to one of the organizers there and they will take you to an area inside to wait that is warm and has chairs. Bonus: you get your shot a lot faster this way.
They didn't check my ID, they didn't check my comorbidity documentation, and they didn't verify that I was a NYC resident. All they checked was that I had an appointment. I'm assuming this was because the line was so long and it was cold out so they were trying to be as efficient as possible.
After getting my shot (Moderna) they had me wait in an area for 15 minutes for monitoring, and we scheduled my second shot while I was waiting. I ended up changing the location to Downtown Brooklyn, and will be there in four weeks for my second dose.
Overall the experience was nice and efficient. Waiting outside for two hours sucked because it was cold and windy, but there's not much they can do about that right now.
