Good little walk around St Stephens chapel Parnell (1857). The heritage roses are gorgeous. Walk up from Taurarua Judges Bay. Great history. Good for a swim, a paddle, jumping off the pontoon. Can also walk over the bridge from TΔmaki Drive near the Parnell Baths. Bring a picnic!

TIL: The medieval London Bridge was more like the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, with a chapel at the center, 100+ shops, & many houses. The bridge was replaced in the 19th century because of ongoing structural issues & because it caused a bottleneck in traffic, for the roadway was only 12 feet wide.

Luzern, Switzerland's KapellbrΓΌcke (Chapel Bridge), the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe. While it was partially destroyed in a fire in '93, the bridge shows off its surviving 17th century paintings above the walkway, that detail events of the city's history. [OC]

When I first played Ashes of Ariandel,I thought the bridge to the Chapel was a trap like DS2 Dragon Shrine.
So believing it was a trap,I never crossed it resulting in finishing the DLC without actually encountering Friede or Vilhem as NPCs. When I turned the lever in the blood flies area,it shows a cutscene where Friede is mumbling about something and I'm like "Who the fuck is that?". Same as when I encountered Vilhem,I thought he was a typical NPC enemy with little story context behind him :P
Has anyone of you played the DLC the "wrong" way in his first playthrough?
