I recently came into possession of 3 round old logs of exotic hardwood: Pernambuco (Brazilwood), Lignum Vitae (Pockholz), and Cocobolo wood. They are each roughly 10-12β round in diameter and 18-24β long. Are these valuable, and roughly what might they be worth?

Difference between brazilwood and carbon fiber bows?
Hey everyone, pretty straightforward question. Iβve been looking at βintermediateβ quality violas to get an idea of price, and noticed that some come with a brazilwood AND a carbon fiber bow.
Is there a big difference between the two? Iβm going to guess the carbon fiber ones are lighter in weight, but are there any differences as far as sound goes?

First time using this combination in the handle. Features a brazilwood ferrule and an ancient 1300 years old bog oak (dated by carbon). 1095 steel with tsuchime finish, really love this style, hope you like it as well! It has a hamon but it is all polished, only visible when light hits the bevel

Could this be implemented? It's not a huge change but with the reduced amount of jungle in NQmap it would make a difference. Brazil is still pretty weak.

Is there a mod that "fixes" the brazilwood camp unique improvement?
In the last game that I played I noticed that my brazilwood improvement doesn't receive the +1 science for trade posts that you get from the Rationalism branch. This may be intentional, and it does create a tradeoff of culture and build time vs extra science.
That said, I'd rather just have both if possible. Anybody know if a mod exists to do this? I know there are similar mods to buff copper so that it's affected by building a Forge.

TIL Brazilwood Camps are not treated like Trading Posts
I know they used to be, but I'm guessing it was changed in the fall patch or another one. I was extremely disappointed in my current Brazil game when I researched Economics and took the Free Thought policy. I always thought it was a nice way to help Brazil counter their complete dearth of production.
Semi-related- This game is also when I learned the hard way that Stone Works can't be built in cities located on plains. My 90% jungle city was built on one of the only plains tiles, and I've had production woes all game. Hundreds of hours and I'm still learning new game mechanics.

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Permaculture Primer on Nitrogen Fixing Plants (Legumes & others)
Greetings
Before you is a primer on nitrogen fixing plants, as well as a list of useful nitrogen fixing plants.

Dropped my best ever dad joke & no one was around to hear it
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
