Funny enough, he said this about BL3 as well.
Last year, the Scandinavian site Gamereactor posted a bunch of leaks where as 90% of them came true. They leaked Returnal, Harry Potter and Resident Evil 8โs setting among others. Only thing that didnโt came true (yet) was a Silent Hill reboot.
Well, now they have a bunch of new leaks regarding a new (and very different) Borderlands, The Last of Us Remake, Fallen Order 2, a KOTOR remake and Alan Wake 2.
Check it out; https://www.gamereactor.eu/secret-upcoming-games-2021/
I've finished the main campaign for a few times already. It was only due to the gameplay.
But at the cost of enjoying the gameplay, I had to suffer listening to these characters talk and talk and talk. I would have no problem with them talking if it was well written, but everyone single one of the main cast makes me want to mute my laptop, and just listen to some music on my phone.
The twins are already bad enough, but what's worse is everyone else on Sanctuary. They're extremely annoying and the fact I have to go to talk to Lillith on the other side of the ship every time I finish a planet pisses me off to no end.
What makes the dialogs and jokes worse is that I've been playing Red Dead Redemption2 , and I was invested in the story and characters. The difference between these two games are like night and day.
I urge to anyone who's planning on replaying Borderlands 3's main campaign. Turn the dialog sound down to <= 25%. It will save your sanity a lot.
I don't know if this is just me, but no matter how hard I tried, I really could not bring myself to like Borderlands 3. I'm no stranger to the over-the-top quirkiness of the series since 1 and especially 2. I loved its tongue-in-cheek humor, and you have a great villain in Handsome Jack whose charisma is built around pissing off the player, and it works. BL2 had so many memorable moments that it sends you into a roller coaster of emotions, you have great characters like Mr. Torgue, Tiny Tina, Angel and returning player characters from 1, whom are now established characters of their own.
BL3 felt like they wanted to recapture the feel from the previous entry... and failing spectacularly.
The most appropriate comparison I can think of was like the recent seasons of Futurama. It relied too much on quirkiness and pop culture references that it missed its original intended mark by a mile. The humor that used to made me smirk, scoff and laugh my posterior off, now just sounded too trying too hard and cringeworthy.
And of course, the story was just as bland and forgettable. Not to mention, Ava, oh boy, here we go again, uses her trauma to guilt trip others.
Alright in a nutshell for Ava:
>!Ava getting Maya murdered and then she blames it on Lilith. She literally opposed Maya's orders and rather than fleeing to fight another day, she forces Maya to step in and basically sacrifice herself for the little brat. And everyone else sweeps that fact under the rug. Add that to the ending which she pretty much inherits Pandora without a precedent to why she earned it. !<
>!At that point I was so done, I didn't even care if Lilith goes Superman on the moon and fucking DIES. !<
Really a damn shame that the series is reduced to a parody of its own self.
I know it would NEVER happen, but I think it would be a stupid fun game. Their is already so many characters for a good sized roster, the Borderlands comedy would work so well in the Lego world, and it would just be fun to run around lego Pandora with a friend.
Again, I know this would never happen because Borderlands is way to adult for a Lego game, but I was just wondering what you guys though if this crazy idea I had.
Hey everyone!
I'm back with more giveaways. This time, it's Borderlands 3.
Good luck! โฅ

I finally got around to completing Borderlands 3 this weekend.
But before I continue, let me state that I played, finished and loved Borderlands 1 and Borderlands 2. They were a lot of fun back in the day and I've always had a lot of admiration for the series!
Which brings me to my odd opinion of Borderlands 3 being a chore; a game that improves on the systems of BL1 and BL2 in every way, yet somehow... some way, ends up feeling like a chore!
The story and characters were exhausting to say the least and the constant returning to Sanctuary III killed the momentum for me. Don't get me started on the layout of Sanctuary III - one of the most terribly design ships / hub areas I've ever experienced.
Was a bit disappointed by this one. On paper, it ticks all the boxes and seemingly does everything better than it's predecessors, yet somehow manages to be ... just not fun.
I won't be buying any of the DLC / expansion stuff (the campaign put me off) and sad to say, that I'm glad to finally uninstall it and claim back the ~90GB of HDD space.
Hi!
I believe the order of them is: bl1-bl2-bltps-tftbl-bl3
But what about DLC content? Is there any way that I should play them? I'm interested in the order for all the games! And also curious to know if the order is correct.
Thanks!
okay so, i want to play borderlands because im really intrested in it. Now heres my dilema. i have 8gb of ram, so i dont think 3 is possible without major fps drops, but, my main poit of interest is he amount of weird etg like weapons. which one should i play?
sorry for bad spelling, english isnt a first language
Edit : since this isn't youtube im not thanking you for the up votes. I'm thanking you for all the feedback! I'll get all 3 because I can easily get all of it. I'll start with 2 while 1 and 3 are downloading, then after I'm done with 2 play them in chronological order
The songs used for Borderlands opening cinematics are the most iconic and memorable pieces of those cinematics, and I wanted to rank my favorites from the four main series games and each of Tales' episodes. This list is my opinion, and music taste will vary wildly for each person. I don't think any of these songs are bad, I think they all are bangers. Let me know what your ranking of the opening cinematics' songs is!
1. Borderlands: Ain't no Rest for the Wicked - Cage the Elephant THE most iconic song from this list.
2. Tales From the Borderlands Ep. 5: Retrograde - James Blake This song fits perfectly with the opening cinematic
3. Tales From the Borderlands Ep. 1: Busy Earnin' - Jungle I bought this album because I liked this song so much
4. Tales From the Borderlands Ep. 3: Pieces of the people we love - The Rapture
5. Tales From the Borderlands Ep. 2: Kiss the Sky - Shawn Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra ft. Nino Mochella
6. Borderlands: The Pre-sequel: Black Dragon/Goodbye - The Vines
7. Borderlands 3: Put it on the Line - The Heavy
8 Borderlands 2: Short Change Hero - The Heavy
9. Tales From the Borderlands Ep. 4: To the Top - Twin Shadow Its good, but my least favorite of the list
Honorable Mentions:
Tales From the Borderlands Ep. 5's end credit song, My Silver Lining by First Aid Kit. Not usually a fan of this type of music, but I really enjoy this song and it perfectly caps off what is in my opinion, a great game
Borderlands' end credit song, No Heaven by DJ Champion. Not much to say here, I just like this song.
Dishonorable Mention:
Borderlands 3's end credit song, Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys. No joke, I burst out laughing when I heard that song begin to play during the credits. I think the song is fine, but it was simply a terrible decision to put it into a Borderlands game
This list was really tough to make. I genuinely enjoy every song on this list, and aside from Alicia Key's song, I think every song choice has been great and very fitting for the game and cinematic.

>During an episode of Pennโs Sunday School podcast, Penn Jillette revealed that he will be shooting a few scenes for the Borderlands movie. In the movie, Jillette will be playing a preacher overseeing a wedding, and thereโs a fight scene that interrupts the nuptials. After the action is done, he ends up in a โspace paddywagonโ with Kevin Hartโs character Roland. Jillette said itโs a โvery, very, very small part,โ and most of the scenes will be with Hart.

By destiny like I mean like an online, planet exploring looter shooter. To me I think the concept can be executed well if obviously done right. Make it less grindy and give a lot of content that people will have fun doing for hours yeah itโll work. Only thing is, what would be the story for it.
So what would you think if they did this. Tbh I really donโt mind it, more borderlands games Iโm cool with that. Just do it right. A massive multiplayer game set in the borderlands universe sounds kinda cool to me. As long as it doesnโt take a main entry spot (as in calling it borderlands 4).

I like many other people was hyped for BL3 when it was announced, however there were so many games I was looking to get that BL3 ended up getting shafted from my purchases, and I just kinda forgot about it for a while till recently. Remembering it again I've been wanting to get it, however from what I've heard about it, the gameplay is great, but the story is... mixed. As someone who generally prefers story over gameplay (with a few exceptions like S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) this has me a bit worried, I looked up a few videos and it does look fun but I have heard about some of the annoying story and character moments, like that one teen girl which only makes me think of Pickle.
Since I don't really have a way to test the game, I'm hoping y'all on the subreddit can confirm if this game is worth getting as someone who prioritizes story over gameplay.
I'm a huge Borderlands fan.
I've played 1 multiple times and with each character and a full team for the challenge. Enjoyed the twist ending and the sudden alien reveal.
I played 2 and fell in love with the combat and team synergy that the artifacts enabled. The story had me skipping side quests just to see what happened next. I hunted the echo logs to piece it together and even did a no gun zero run with my friends because melee was so feasible.
Pre-sequel was fun and expanded the game with new mechanics and a great story that made me realize jack wasn't the bad guy( I know it's not popular to say, but I understood him suddenly and hated the raiders) this was how I knew I loved this game world.
TFTB was fine. Not a big tell tale fan, but liked the ending and literally shed a tear for the final catch a ride. Got to see jack return and was reminded why he's a great villain.
Now I get to 3 and......I'm not feeling it so far. The skill trees make playing with friends useless. What is the point in building a strategy with friends if we can all just solo everything? I have no reason to care how our abilities help each other. The loot system is like WTF. Oranges drop like crazy and I feel no desire to revisit bosses. Can I even revisit bosses? Why is melee not an option? The guns are cool, but this new system just has me going by level matching the gear. I'm still playing it, but so far I'm not enjoying it.
Does it get better? Am I missing something on team building? Do I just not understand the weapon drops? Also wtf is this about the first vault dweller? Do the aliens show up from pre-sequel? What is going on with this game?
EDIT: after reading the responses (thank you all btw) I can see that I went into this with the expectations of the previous games. I played more and got deeper into the story with what you all said in mind and am enjoying it more. Still don't get anointments yet, but I'll see how it works eventually.
Iโve never played Borderlands except BL1 on my Switch since I had the Legendary Collection. So I recently upgraded my PC Setup and now Iโm starting to play on PC a bit more often so I decided to get the Handsome Collection because it was $11 and I wanted to play BL2 and so far I have 4 hours on the game and Iโm having a BLAST! Itโs legit so much fun, last time I had this much fun playing a game was with Halo. I just felt like saying how GOOD this game really is, and the graphics are just AWESOME! Such a good game so far, I can definitely see myself putting 1,000 hours into the game easily.
A dedicated revolver weapon class. Probably the funnest weapon to play, from the looks to the reload sounds, absolutely superb and satisfying! Why did the devs remove them?
