Hi there everyone!

After a hiatus of more than 10 years, I'm trying to ease myself back into Kendo again. I'm bringing my kendo stuff from my home country to Germany, where I live, and am wondering about your experiences, for sport equipment as checked baggage.

Last time, when I first came to Germany, I brought just one shinai and I basically tied it to my 45L+5 travel backpack that I checked in.

Now, I'm bringing a complete set of Bougu in a softcase carry bag (meaning, I can't roll with it, I have to carry it) and a shinai bag with 2 Shinais and 1 Bokuto.

In addition to my checked baggage with my clothes and stuff, I am well below the Singapore Airline's limit of 25 kg./55 lb.

Would the airlines be counting that I'm bringing 3 checked baggage? Or should I just put the bougu in my checked bag (if that's even possible...) and the shinai counts as a second checked baggage? Or something else?

According to SIA, the policy for Non-Standard Baggage.

What would you suggest? Or am I interpreting it wrongly? For context, I'm travelling from south east asia to EU.

I love Bokuto. I love his team, Jersey, hair and personality. But the fan base makes him seem like the best thing to exist and constantly put him up to players he’s simply not better than. Like Ushijima, Sakusa, and Kiryu. Bokuto didn’t beat Kiryu, Fukurodani beat Mujinazaka. Volleyball isn’t a 1v1 it’s a team sport. A person really tried to argue to me that Bokuto is the best because all of the other top 5 aces lost before he did. But using that logic Asahi is better than Ushijima. And speaking of losing didnt Bokuto lose to Sakusa?

I just think the fan base overrates him. Bokuto is extremely skilled but his team carries him he dosent carry his team like an Ushijima or Kiryu. Bokuto does make a lot of the stuff that his team does work and he is clearly the best player on the team, but you can’t seriously sit down and tell me that Bokuto is the best player or even a top 3 player in Haikyuu.

Sometimes we meet people who captivate us, may it be a captain or any other motivational person around us that is shining brightly. Bokuto Koutarou is also someone who steals the glances of not only his opponents but also other people with ease.

Yet he does it in many different ways.

But how does he captivate the people with his demeanor?

In today’s blogpost we’ll dive a bit deeper into the antics of the ace and captain who does not only stand out with his loud ‘Hey hey hey’ but also with his other sides that might not seem as amazing as they are on the first glance.

With that a little spoiler warning since the post contains information about the anime series that will help us to analyse Bokuto.

Introduction

The number four on his back and with eyes that pierce through with a curious look. One can hear him from afar when he is fired up and he doesn’t stop being persistent in his demands when he makes one.

With a much later appearance than most captains next to Kita, Bokuto’s first debut is in season 2 episode 4 in which we see him more observant and rather quiet than his well-known usual demeanor.

He attends the Fukurodani Academy/Fukurodani Gakuen and is one of the third years, meaning in the course of the events from season 2 on it’s his last year with his team as well as his last chance to be part of nationals.

Bokuto is not only renowned in Tokyo but also known to be among the top five spikers in the country as Kuroo stated along with Akaashi, seemingly that he barely missed the top three.

Despite his nature he is Fukurodani’s Ace and captain at the same time, considered as a valuable trainingspartner for several players in the Tokyo trainingscamp due to his attack power.

As Fukurodani’s representative animal in the anime are owls, Bokuto also gets nicknamed as “annoying owl” sometimes, his hair being shaped like an owl, as well as his eyes and also his facial expression that could have led to the nickname as well along with his whimsical nature.

First of All, i thought they where compression shorts, and had any use, but they are just uneccessary long knee pads, and i rly cant understand, why he would wear those. (Even tho, we ignore the fact, that hes not even receiving)
