A list of puns related to "Blowpipe"
Hi, in my cc today there was a discussion about smithing and whether to make mith plate bodies or not. I suggested darts because I remember learning from this sub that they would come in useful for blowpipe when I finally get it.
But then they said blowpipe got nerfed, and even addy darts aren't that good.
Is that true? Addy and mith bolts not that good now?
what bosses/examples/slay tasks are good to use BP on? If at all.
Is zulrah still worth doing, any other good drops it gives?
I've only just reached 87 slayer and got trident and was excited for zulrah now im like oh... Lmao
I'm a semi-noob to glassblowing. I did take a class when I was in university at UCSD (the Fat Baby Glass Works), and I know much about the theory...but also that I have a long way to go to master the practice, like finding that balance of heat and rotation speed to keep the mass centered. Even now I hear the instructor's words...from the gather in the furnace, it's "marver marver marver!" Then..."Stretch puff paper paddle!"
Recently, a glass shop opened up in my neighborhood (and one of my instructors from UCSD actually makes pieces there). However, with COVID-19, if we actually want to do any blowing, we have to have our own pipes.
Based on what I learned, I'm trying to optimize based on cost, resilience, and safety. From what research I did, I'm already looking into a couple hundred dollars at least. Okay, so how do I get my money's worth?
Just got one. What do you guys use it for? Considering not going for a bofa anymore, since that shit sucks. Lmk what you guys still use the blowpipe for. Thanks!

Is BP still good enough at vorkath? is void+salve better? Is super anti fire worth it? unfortunately i dont have a bandos GS or a dwh. Usually i use bone crossbow as my spec weapon.
I'm curious as to what darts I should be using during my general Slayer tasks that range is a viable option for. I currently use addy and tried to watch a few videos to find out if I'm missing much. Didn't seem so, but I figured I'd ask.
Currently theres no point in the game where a dark bow with dragon arrows surpasses DPS over the MSB (i) with amethyst. Not high ranged defence or low ranged defence.
Why not just, have the dark bow be better than the MSB. Its already a unique weapon with a high slayer requirement to obtain (outside of use) and the price of the item will naturally go up now that it has a use outside of pvp.
Whether it be dropping the attack speed 1 tick or upping the damage bonus on the bow or whatever, just have it be the stepping stone.
I recently got the ranged level necessary to use the blowpipe and I stocked up a while ago on supplies for it, Iβm using amethyst darts. So where are the best PvM places to use it? What bosses or such is it best used against? Where is it BIS or near? What does getting it unlock?
Itβs one of the ranged best weapons in the game so Iβve been looking forward to using it. Iβve been looking for a few days to see if anyone has answered this before but I couldnβt find an answer anywhere.
Sorry its taken so long to get it out, I was in the hospital around the time the nerf actually happened and I also wanted to wait a lilβ before posting it cause this reddit can get spicy when we are heated
Is it too early for me to get blowpipe? Iβm CB 97, 81 range & 84 magic. Havenβt got a trident & best bolts I could get are diamond (e)
I find myself in many scenarios where a blowpipe could definitely help.
Should I wait until trident which wonβt be any time soon, or kill Zulrah inefficiency?
(Iβm iron)
Title; no defense reducing specs
94 range+range pot, have full god dhide or full elite void
IIRC they're already different item IDs, thats why magma/ tanz variants get rejected.
Pros: Shame your bois when they use amethyst and blow on a pink pipe
Cons: Get shamed by your bois for blowing on a pink pipe
EDIT: Actual pros: No need to swap between dragon and amethyst darts. Amethyst for casual pvm, dragon for top tier pvm
Actual cons: Carrying a pink pipe 99% of the time
So I already have everything I wanted to get to start inferno. Current setup is Bowfa, full crystal, Ahrims top, ancient staff + crystal shield, HP skill cape, dhide boots/rangers, b gloves, suffering, BCP switch, SGS for specs and either a fury or anguish/occult switch. My question is does anyone have experience/recommendations about doing a cape with just bowfa, no blowpipe?
My thoughts are, this is my first ever cape on osrs and I donβt mind using the supplies on my iron (brews, rests and runes). So far in the first day of attempts I made it to wave 61 as my PB just from watching a few quick guides and teaching myself. Didnβt mind not using BP at all, only concern is perhaps healers when I get to Zuk, and if Iβm going to run into issues with the minions that spawn from blobs in later waves when thereβs a lot going on. Iβve been just barraging them to mostly great effect but wonder if BP would save enough headache to justify bringing.
My case for not using BP is: -saw someone do a cape on stream way back without and it looked super comfy, even at zuk healers -while I donβt mind using the other supplies, I donβt have amethyst darts yet and donβt feel inclined to do that grind atm, also would like to save my rune darts+scales for starting TOB -already have SGS for specs -get to bring an extra brew/restore -less switches make me happy
Would love to discuss peopleβs thoughts on the necessity of BP, as well as any other thoughts on my setup!
I haven't played in a while and saw that blowpipe got nerfed hard. Is it still viable at vorkath? Or should I use regular dragon crossbow? Can't afford dhcb, but could almost afford dhl. My combat stats are all 80-85.
I understand that pre-nerf the blowpipe with dragon darts could out dps healers if used with rigour? Anyone know if this is still the case or if the f bow is now better?
Also can you buy darts anywhere? Clicking dart tips and feathers breaks my wrist lol.
I used to farm vorkath a bunch and I just got rigour after the price went so low. I heard the blowpipe got nerfed, but wow, it is really bad for vorkath and tbats where I used it about 100% of the time. Is it even worth having at this point? If im gonna do vorkath, what should I use as a weapon now? I can't afford a dhcb but I could get a dcb if its worth it. Also any other cool content I might not have heard of yet?
I finally beat DS2. I tried killing him with the blowpipe but it felt awfully slow, so I switched to a DCB for the time being. I still am averaging like 4.5-5 minutes a kill, even with a BGS spec. My worst was like 6:15. Best is about 3:30
I'm using full normal void, antidragon shield, archers ring (I), salve (ei), blessed dhide boots, accumulator, ruby bolts e, and diamond bolts e for below 250.
For melee I'm bringing my berserker ring (I), fire cape, void melee, and dragon boots, BGS.
My stats are 81 att, 96 str, 98 range
I also drink an attack potion and piety for the spec. For the kill I use eagle eye.
