I get this might be a bit of a niche question but I'm planning on cycling to billingsgate market later this week and I was wondering if there are any good spots to lock my bike up by the market.
Hi all,
Please, does anyone have a copy of a video Chris Billingsgate (Billingsgate Archery, former youtube channel) made for an arrow string jig ?
So I'm planning to go to Billingsgate at some point in the near future to buy some seafood in bulk (uni student so looking to make the Β£ go that extra bit) but I don't know too much about it. I have a few questions but any general advice is welcome
Whens the best time/day to go?
What are good prices/current prices of seafood? (Guides I found were out of date)
How can I tell whats good quality?
Whats best to wear? I assume boots but just to be safe
Thank you for any responses I get!
Billingsgate was my local hookup for fresh oysters, fish and other seafood. I went today as I have on many a Saturday and found out that it is closed as of January 1st. Does anyone know what happened? Even more important, does anyone know another seafood market on the Southside?
Preferably open to the general public
I don't know what you're doing Thursday (the new Friday) but if you get home early enough or stay out late enough I implore you to join me at the Billingsgate Fish Market.
I know this wasn't originally my idea (I think kudos go to Lowercase_Drawer? Correct me if I'm wrong), but I want to go and Friday is good for me.
If there is any interest I'll set a meeting point and time.
EDIT 1: The 277 is a 24-hour bus service that runs between South Hackney and Canary Wharf. Just sayin'
