A list of puns related to "Backglass"
Hello all you beautiful people, this is my first ever wild Karen encounter.
For context, i myself am a non-binary individual, and i have a pretty big vehicle as well. With its size and me being a redneck at heart, (A 2004 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 LT with the 8.1L), i have gotten a few compliments, and the occasinal death stare as they see a few pride window stickers. People generally were nice to me and those that weren't kept to themselves
Until now.
Meet the cast of tonight's show:
Me: Yours truly
Henry: my absolute love and a sarcastic ass.
EM: absolute c**t of a person
ND: Nice dad
Let's start this shitshow.
So, i was getting food from McDonalds as both me and my partner did not want to cook tonight. I look out the window to see a lady, her husband and a kid taking a picture of the tailgate on my suburban. I think nothing of it and continue to wait in line. About 30 seconds later, and she comes in screeching.
EM: "WHO OWNS THAT SUBURBAN OUTSIDE"
Me: "i do, what seems to be the problem?"
EM: "You need to remove that gross flag from it. It's poisoning the minds of our children."
Me, now moderately confused: "What flag are you talking about ma'am?"
EM: "That stupid gay flag or whatever its called. You need to remove it, now."
Henry: "Are you sure that's the one you want gone? I mean, there's a worse one outside on that Buick" (He was referencing the American flag, and was being sarcastic)
This infuriated her, causing her to launch into a tirade of how this generation has no respect for our country, and that we're being brainwashed to become part of the problem.
Henry and I roll our eyes, and try to go back to ordering our food. After EM is done screeching, she tries to put her hand on Henry's shoulder and spin him around. This triggers him and he spins around and clocks her in the jaw. He immediately breaks down and walks out to go sit in our truck
I was in shock at the scene in front of me, and tried to help her up off the ground. ND stopped me and said that she had something like this coming for a long time, and helped the EM to her feet and brought her to a table. I thought the situation was done and over with.
Oh boy was i wrong.
EM follows me out of the resturaunt as i collect our food, and proceeds to try and screech at me some more
EM: "HEY! You f****** better be giving me compensation for what i have to suffer through now"
I immediately spin on my heels to face her
Me: "Tell me, who in their right mind would come u
... keep reading on reddit β‘I was playing Pistol Poker on Legends Pinball and noticed that it seems it's not possible to do the Pistol Poker Backglass Shot because the coins don't light up.
It's like the backglass is supposed to be animated (the IRL table has lights behind the backglass coins) but it is not.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is this some sort of bug or am I just missing something?
The feature I'm referencing is this one:
FIRING THE BACKBOX GUN
Use either flipper to select a suit from the backbox deck. After an amount of time, the game will begin the READY - AIM - FIRE sequence. Then the backbox gun is lit, and you need to shoot the coin over the column of the card that you want. Shoot the gun at the lit coin by pressing either of the flipper buttons.
This will spot the card under the coin that you shot in the suit you selected.
Hi all! Does a full collection of backglass images exist out there for those of us who have built 3 screen vpin cabs? Thanks for any info
I just broke my third backglass, even though I use a case all the time, and now I am thinking that it would probably be best if I just switched to a plastic custom cover. Is there anywhere I can buy one of those?
Might be a silly question, is the backglass interchangeable between a regular cab and Xtra cab? I ask because I have an Xtra cab and I'm wanting a fixed backglass and I found one close for a regular cab.
The problem started with the OTG no longer talking to my computer. Just saw that it was because of the update. Anyway, I thought it had something to do with the VIBS so I installed a new one somehow managing to screw up both VIBS. So I reconnected the backglass to it's original, out of the box connector. Now my backglass is VERY dim. Anybody know how to fix this? Thanks.
I installed my VIB today and have been using my Tablet as DMD.
I want to continue to use it as the DMD but the standard FX3 backglass images have the rectangle black box for the DMD.
Does anyone know of FX3 backglass images I can use to replace the stock ones that don't have any speaker or DMD 'black box'?
I recently had some problems installing the VIBS board in my ALP, resulting in some damage to the built-in EDP cable in the ALP backglass (the one that comes out from the backglass hole, black-taped to the cabinet and connects to the VIBS/signal board, whichever is present). The EDP cable contact tips were somewhat mangled... but I managed to "smooth" them straight enough with my fingers so that they are currently working fine with the signal board (VIBS being returned).
However, I'm concerned about the long-term viability of this EDP cable, after I get a replacement VIBS. How difficult is it to replace this built-in cable and repair this connection? I haven't found any videos or tutorials, so any advice is appreciated.
Dear all,
I play Williams tables on iOS and Mac OS. On Safecracker, is there any way to check which gate is open after a ball is locked but before making it into the bank ? I cannot see this neither on iOS nor on Mac OS. Quite frustrating given how much random is already this (great) table.
Thanks in advance !
So after searching online for straightforward, easy to follow instructions on setting up VIBS backglass images on Pinball FX3 for those who purchased one of the Zotac mini PCs a couple of months ago, I couldnβt find one. Thus, I stumbled through several videos and webpages until I finally got it all working on my setup through trial and error. Since I know many others have an identical setup with their ALP, I figured Iβd share my steps and settings so any other new VIBS owners could get up and running quickly.
These steps assume youβve set up your VIBS and have installed PinballFX3 through Steam, and that you activated cabinet mode through Zen. If you did all this and have turned on your Zbox PC and have the dual HDMI set up, you should have your primary display as the play field and the backglass as a secondary extended display, which you can verify in the Windows PC display settings. IMPORTANT: for these settings I left my play field in Landscape mode and have the secondary display as if it were to the right of my main display. Although this is adjustable in Windows and you could set it up as if your primary display were in portrait mode and your secondary display above it (you know, like an actual pinball), for whatever reason this results in Zen Pinball rendering at a lower internal resolution even when set at 1080p. I couldnβt figure out a workaround, but keeping Windows in landscape and rotating the playfield instead in Zenβs cabinet mode settings works well, so this is how I left it. If you alter your setup, then what Iβm sharing below wonβt work.
Now, Zen does not have backglass images included among its files. You have to download them and place them in the appropriate Steam folder. (Your Steam installation directory]\steamapps\common\Pinball FX3\data\steam)
The images Iβm using are ones I obtained here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1QfTJyNvROCttPsZiQlZ3aNCagods0zNl?fbclid=IwAR1UxdhgrDclHL_73LaxASsTM7kt0eg8Ek3CR15neF8NC9Yil_G5FmlWFhg
You could use other images, but the settings below might not work if so. These images are mostly wonderful, so Iβm pretty happy with them. Since these images have a spot for the DMD, my settings are also for a DMD located within these back glass images. If you use different images or a separate DMD, youβll have to tweak the settings on your own.
Now, once youβve downloaded and copied the images to Steam, you load Pinball FX3, head to the cabinet settings, and input the following coordinates for the b

Watch how smooth the ball rolls around when leaderboards are off. Then turn backglass leaderboards on and see the ball move less smooth.
Hopefully they update leaderboards to be less demanding. I think it's a cool feature but I'm disabling it for now.
I have both Star Trek TNG and Star Trek Stern tables. I got the TNG pup pack, but whenever I load TNG, VP uses the Star Trek Stern backglass over the pup pack (since the names are similar). Anyway to fix this without drastically changing the name to the Stern table?
I have the 8" Wimaxit. I took it apart and mounted the controller board inside the back of the cab (not inside the backboard). Then I drilled a hole on top in the back of the cab. The backboard sits on top of this hole. Attached the screen with command strips/velcro. Routed the flat EDP ribbon cable down UNDERNEATH the backboard and into the hole I drilled. Doing it this way, you don't need to drill into the front/plexiglass. I also took a black sharpie and colored a little of the white EDP cable that is exposed in the front. If you do it right the whole thing will look black when attached. Very happy with how it came out!
EDIT: in hindsight, another option is to mount the controller board inside the backboard, but you'd need to drill a hole (for the ribbon cable) in the bottom, right near one of the wingnut holes. i still think it could be done while keeping the wingnut there. the advantage of this method is that if you ever disconnect your ALP into 2 pieces (to move it), you wouldn't need to detach the 3rd screen's ribbon cable, since it'd all be contained in the top half. i may redo it with this method.
My brother broke the red light cover on the top of a Pinbot machine when he was moving it from his home in Oregon to my house in WA. What is the name of that piece, so that I can look for replacement parts online?
after working with tech support and the vibs issues the back display is very dim.
i noticed i do not get sound when using the native aux hdmi port any more. both the native video and the built-in aux show very dim video.
1st ran into issues with the upside down ribbon cable blue vs white side up. after boot issues i found the blue needed to be up. the systems boots now, The vibs never works with its aux hdmi source and had many side effects with the native video passed through ranging from normal to flickering or no video.
Seems main pcb is messed up now.... not sure if the upside down cable created all the issues damaged the vibs or its not related and its a bad vibs. cant be good when the system failed to boot with the upside down ribbon cable...
just has the main pcb replaced for random lockups when exiting games... damn now this.
I got my VIBS installed and tweaked a bunch of settings until my FX3 tables all showed the backglass graphic and the DMD perfectly. When I went back to the native installed tables, there's nothing on the backglass at all for those tables. Is this an either/or setting?
Hello, I have a cabinet that runs PinballX, MAME, FX2, VirtualPinball.
Recently, the MAME games no longer display the backglass correctly. For some reason the backglass is shifted 95% off the screen. I assume it has something to do with a X,Y settings somewhere. However, when I am in PinballX the Backglass shows up perfectly fine.
I have read articles on MAME ini files etc and I am totally lost. However, this is happening for all of the games so it must be a default setting somewhere.
Where would I configure Backglass for MAME games? MAME.ini does not seem to have any settings for a second monitor. Is it getting data from PinballX ?
Thanks in advance
If you have a burned out 12 volt line on your ALP mainboard (results in a dead VIBS or a very dim backglass when connected directly) we may have a solution with an altered VIBS board to save a Mainboard replacement. Looking for a few beta testers - if you are interested, contact us via email: info@buystuffstore.ca
Anyone seen this issue? My backglass display is now dim. Can only assume the monitor is now bad?
