Can you compost Ayurvedic medicines?

I have a bunch of Ayurvedic medicines (tablets, syrups and Powder) that I hadn't used in a while. They all expired about 6months ago. Wondering whether I can put them in my compost since they are all Herbal/Plant based supplements.

Did anyone had any experience with composting Ayurvedic medicines. How did you do it?

Why are there so few high-quality studies on Ayurvedic medicines?

Ayurveda has a lot of potential and we should be doing a lot more research and development in the field but for some reason, high-quality studies on Ayurvedic medicines are nearly non-existent. Why?

E.g. Things like Chyawanprash, itone, edusol, and even coronil. They may work (I have used itone and edusol many times in the past) but there are few randomized, double-blind control trials on such medicines? We would be able to use Ayurveda so much more effectively if more studies like this were done.

If the argument is made that certain Ayurvedic treatments are personalized for each patient, a possible solution could be something like this:

Identify an illness you want to test the efficacy of Ayurvedic treatment against

Consult a group of many different Ayurvedic doctors (they may form some sort of board or group so that the study isn’t solely based off one opinion)

Determine what are the main factors to take into account when tailoring treatment to individual people.

Identify the most common β€œbody types/makeups in the population” (in regards to the factors you must take into account when tailoring treatment, what are the most common things you see in the general population. E.g. High Pitta, low kapha; high kapha, low vata; high vata, low Kapha; etc. In this instance, I’m using Pitta, Kapha, and Vata as the factors but the factors can be anything the doctors choose. )

Choose the 4/5/6 most common body compositions to test in the study.

Create treatments specific to each group (not to each person, but to each group. This means that there may be 4/5/6 treatments)

Get 1000 (preferably more) people for each group

Separate the groups and give 500 people in each group the placebo and 500 people the treatment

Publish the results.

I don’t understand why something like this cannot work. If we aren’t doing proper research into Ayurveda, what is the point of AYUSH?
