Average Joe Puns

I started dipping my toes into the stock market back in Feb when the whole craze blew up and it made me a small but good profit. All this time I only really invested into companies that are big and everyone recognizes (Car manufacturers, cell phone companies, etc.) Where can I find information about those stocks that aren't necessarily small but its not known to the average joe. I'm talking about those stocks that makes medicines or they make parts for a big company.

I’m just trying to gauge where I’m at, I feel like I have a lot but it never hurts to have more I suppose!

The fact that almost everyone I know knows nothing about cryptocurreny except for maybe bitcoin (without even knowing what bitcoin does or really is) shows that we are still friggin early. All they might know is that it’s worth a lot as a “coin”. Other than that it’s completely blank for them. So be happy you guys! Lots of gains to be made😀

I'm a pretty average player.

I suck at FPS and aiming, I'm 43 and the more I age, the more I tend to focus on turn-based games and save scum. Point, click, save, turn-off the PS5 and get myself a jasmin tea. I beat every souls game (except Bloodborne) but recently I gave up on Sekiro's last boss, and felt I had lost my youth reflexes. I played Doom Eternal and rapidly switched to easy. So, I delayed my purchase of Returnal and then finally bought it when I felt it was classic-material, but my hands were shaking before I even opened the disc. That's what internet does to you :p AND BOY DID THAT GAME KICK MY TEETH

After almost giving up at biome 3, I pushed and pushed and got to the end. It's ironic that I killed Ophion with a crappy level 15 gun and was 1-hit away from getting back to square-one. This screenshot is perfectly emblematic of my relationship with this game, which I found both unique and infuriating.

I found this reddit vey discouraging when I needed help the most, with many players saying the game was so easy, that they were breezing through biomes & bosses without dying, I found it depressing and was tempted to finish the game on twitch. At the same time, the atmosphere is so awesome that I wanted to experiment the game myself.

So, here are my average-joe stats & a few tips/feedback to comfort you :

~200 deaths & 50 hours to see the end of act 2. Not hunting any trophy.

- Boss, from hardest to easiest for me (+ how many tries it took me for each) : Nemesis (6), Phrike (4), Ixion (1), Ophion (2), Hyperion (2)

- Biomes, from hardest to easiest for me : Biome 3, 5, 6, 1, 2, 4

- Abused the unlimited heal in spaceship until PS5 forced an update. I didn't miss it too much but it was definitely a help to discover the game.

- I always stuffed myself in biome 1 or 4 before attempting to progress further, meaning my runs were on average between 1 and 2 hours.

- Most hated ennemies : Biome 3 drone & automaton, Biome 5 Severed, Biome 6 Archonact.

- Most frustrating moment : a perfect 3 hours run crashing just before Nemesis, that's when I almost gave up. Also all the runs where you find tons of spitmaw before Nemesis.

- Most clutch moment : finished biome 5 third room with a sliver of life after a 4 hours run.

- If I went back in time to give myself an advice : don't hesitate to spend time stuffing yourself in easier starting biomes (1 & 4), explore the next biome you want to get a feel for it but when you'

This case definitely looks like it was premeditated.

Why does it look premeditated the fact that Suzanne was all alone on Mothers Day.

The girls are away on a road trip.

Barry is 3 hours away in Broomfield working.

Nobody has seen Suzanne in Days.

Barry is working on multiple sites with his Bobcat digging holes like all around Colorado it seems.

There was a strong smell of chlorine in the home and hotel where Barry was staying.

There was a mysterious 5 acre fire very close to there home 6 days before she went missing, and Barry is a volunteer fire fighter and was on that call out.

One of the sites had a big slab of concrete poured the day after she disappeared.

The security cameras were not working at their home or their neighbors home.

The surveillance cameras were not working at the site in Broomfield on Mothers Day weekend.

Suzanne was reported missing by the neighbor after taking a bike ride. Almost immediately after arriving at the bike site Barry decides that she was eaten by a mountain lion. the next day he had two other theories one she stumbled into the river and drowned the other was that she was abducted by sex traffickers. There is so much going on in this case its like organized chaos and so easy to get sucked into it.

Was thinking about the Broomfield job and what a absolute shambles Barry made of it.

What happened that it became such a mess, this should have been the easy bit because he did this for a living day in day out.

Was there a change of plan Mary Branson waking up in the middle of the night. And Barry needing a new place to bury Suzanne.

But that doesn't excuse the Broomfield job Barry still should have been organized if he had planned this for months.

The more you look into it the more mistakes he has made. As soon as Barry received the revised drawings on the wall he would of been able to work exactly the quantities of extra materials to do the job otherwise he wouldn't have been able to price it simple as that.

The other was the tools this work was repetitive straight forward with no surprises a limited amount of tools were needed Bobcat, Consaw, Laser, Plate compactor, and hand tools brushes, shovels, level, and string line etc.

Then there was the work which was to increase the length and height the easiest way to do this would be to remove all the coping's, blocks, geo grid and backfill down to the footings.

I don’t know why everyone is freaking out about this. I think this will actually be a healthy for the crypto space as it will discourage whales to manipulate the market, while 90% of the small investors won’t be affected by this.

Do you guys think this will make crypto markets less volatile or am I missing something obvious?

I didn´t care before, but after I educated myself, I found a deep hatred for all these non-dysphoric people that are actively harming your community and ruining the public image of people that ACTUALLY need recognition, like you guys. To be honest I didn´t think that this issue would piss me off as much as it does, but here I am.

My first inclination here would be to say a grunt, since brutes have a temper, yanme'e seem creepy as all hell, jackals are greedy backstabbers, and elites are hardasses with an honor code, and lek'golo might make great conversation partners since they're worms/gestalt consciousness. which one do you think would make the best friend and/or acquaintance?

I decided to make a post helping those of you who are struggling to hit the ball this year. I’ve been seeing a lot of the same issues so hopefully this will help!

My background - haven’t played MLBTS since like 09, but I did play college baseball. I was struggling to complete the rookie moments and the veteran-level showdowns. I failed the showdown multiple times in a row. Then I realized I need to train just like in real life baseball.

My philosophy - You need 3 things to hit well: vision (recognition), placement (where you’re going to swing), and timing. Vision helps you recognize the pitch - type and placement - which then affects where you’re going to swing and when.

My philosophy translated to a video game:

Vision = still your eyes

Placement = left thumb (joystick)

Timing = right thumb (square, X)

Steps to take:

1. Make sure game mode is enabled on your TV. Smart TVs have an unbearable amount of input lag in a normal configuration. Playing with this input lag is equivalent to being drunk off your ass and going to the 90+ mph batting cages. Game mode will reduce this significantly. It is best to play on a monitor or on a TV that has very low input lag.
2. Go to settings and use strike zone view, zone hitting, and adjust your PCI to your liking. I personally prefer red or white chevrons with no outer at 90% transparency. The zoomed in view is so much more helpful in placing the PCI.
3. Take BP! Just like in real life, you gotta take batting practice if you expect to hit in a game. I recommend setting it to Hall of Fame or Legend mode, face DeGrom or someone else who throws serious gas, and do the following:
   1. Train your vision. Select 1 pitch type (recommend fastball first) at a time and all zones. For the first 5-10 mins, just watch the pitch. See how the ball leaves the hand and how it moves. You need to develop a mental image of what it looks like.
   2. Develop your placement. Now move the PCI to where the ball is. Do NOT try to swing. You are building placement recognition and “left thumb” reaction. Knowing where to push the stick and by how much is immense. Do this for at least 5-10 mins at a minimum.
   3. Perfect your timing. Push only X (A on Xbox) without using left stick input. Look at the feedback after each pitch if you early, late, or somewhere in between.
      1. Note: pitch placement affects your timing like in real life! An inside pitch requires an earlier swing than an outside pitch. I was surprised how well that is factor

Was just trying to put together something about the average amount of HOT tokens people hold and I am sharing my thoughts here in case you find them interesting (any input welcome).

Given facts:

1. So we have 100,102 holders at the moment.

2. Token total supply is 177,619,433,541 (roughly 177B).

3. EtherScan indicates that ca. 67.64% of the total token supply is held by the top 100 holders, ca. 120B. Of course in those top 100 you have also a bunch of exchange addresses (e.g. binance etc.).

Train of thought:

This probably means that the remaining ca. 33% of the tokens that are not held by the top 100, is distributed across the remaining 100,002 holders.

So that’s 57,486,392 HOT tokens (the remaining 33%) divided by 100,002 holders, which is 574,851.531 HOT per holder.

So your average Joe seems to hold roughly 500K HOT.

Can anyone relate to this train of thought and numbers?

As an ICO investor I don’t have many qualms with the project, but I do have a few concerns. And these will be in favour of both investors and ETN team at the same time against both parties.

Firstly, these reddit pages were meant to be a platform for very informative and “intellectual” discourse around the project with creative insights, suggestions and constructive feedback (at least that’s my expectation). It hasn’t been so lately, heck, it hasn’t been so ever! And why is this? Well, I believe this is due to

1. The crypto community being bombarded with an influx of impatient/amateur investors who want quick returns for their buck and comparing everything else on the market to ETN or other assets.
2. A pretty frustrated group of people, some with genuine issues who have been neglected for whatever reason.
3. A degrading culture of interaction and engagement from the ETN team
4. An old mentality of running a business

Just like any other company/project out there some might 2x,10x or 100x over a period of time but not all of them will do this within the same period or ever. Not everybody wants to invest in hype nor the lack of it, so it only makes sense to re-access the projects you put your money into based on your expectations. Just understand ETN is not that kind of project to make you 10 or 100x in the short term like some other hyped or manipulated projects out there (don’t get me wrong a few of the projects are not hyped and are doing very well). Heck It might not even make you any money for all I know, you need to understand this and invest accordingly.

This is like putting your money in Tesla and hoping to make some ROI when they come out with something ground breaking but who knows? They might or might not! It’s of no use going around making noise as to what information they need to put out or not, why they are not going up in price and whatnot. You just trust the Tesla team is doing what they can as a company and would not want to see the company fall to ruins. This is the risk you sign up for when you decide to invest in ETN! If it doesn’t work for you then it’s just not the right type of project to put your money into. There should be plenty of such out there.

On that note, ETN team, this is my uninformed thoughts not considering the legality and regulation side of it but my point is, aren’t there options that you can consider to weed out some chaff. Example, instead of buying all the ETN you need to pay Anytask sellers from exchang

There seems to be many problematic paths to acquiring a solar energy system and it 'seems easy' to the average idiot that you can buy and install all the parts but of course it isn't that simple is it? Could they be saving a lot of time and money by getting a better result some other way? What failures and mishaps do DIY solar projects often come across?

I stumbled over the legendary OP-1 on Youtube and watched the usual suspects having fun with their OP-1s: "Yuri Wong" and "Red means recording". I am by no means a music producer.

Besides trying to learn to play the piano on a Roland FP-30X, I really enjoyed making some songs or jingles with FL Studio although I don't like sitting in front of my laptop or desktop working with a daw. Having discovered the OP-1 I wonder whether you would recommend me buying an OP-1. I am not planning to produce music and sell it, just want to play around on my own. As I understand it, the device is only conditionally suitable for creating whole songs.

I have an iPad as well, and I am playing around with Beatmaker 3 and Korg Gadget 2. It makes more fun than using a DAW on my laptop. Nevertheless being able to use the OP-1 only without having to know much about sound engineering - you only turn some knobs and use the cow - seems very intriguing. Otherwise I guess an iPad combined with Beatmaker 3, Korg Gadget 2 and probably some other apps is more powerful .... so I could save the money by giving up on the very special OP-1 workflow.

The rich get richer and the working class still just keeps working. Is there a certain reason the tables can't be turned? I'm working class amd yes I bought into the dogecoin hype amd I STILL believe in it. Professional teams are accepting it, SpaceX is accepting it, its more widely used as a REAL currency than others. With some research, it looks like my best bet on being alerted is through snmp traps on my switch with PRTG, the issue is reading through the jargon it seems like I may need a little more networking knowledge -- What do you think? So, I have 136 shares @ about $8.30 now.

Basically, I work for myself doing gardening, I need to fix my car, pay a bunch of bills and I needed a new trailer at the beginning last year.

If AMC reaches just $50, I'll have enough to pay all the bills, fix my car and buy a new trailer and put signwriting on it. This will make me money overnight and probably do substantial damage to the level of depression that I have been experiencing for months.

How can we expect everybody, world wide, in a situation like mine or worse, that might just need a little bit to feed their kids or pay some bills or whatever to take some seemingly minor yet debilitating stress out of their life, to hold up to 10-100k per share? We know we don't lose if we don't sell, but we don't win either. It might only be a grand invested but 500% of that can be a complete moon rocket for most people.

Life changing money for some (MOST) people is ten or twenty grand in total, not per share. You can start a business with 5 grand and never work for minimum wage again. I personally can be in the green with all my car paid off, old fines and family debts and everything ever paid for the first time in 35 years of life in my meat prison with like 45k. With that done, ill suddenly be excited to live and work again. Maybe even do the family thing.

How do we ALL hold to ensure maximum super saian rocket when the numbers get real? I know how fast I am going to want to sell. I will try not to but hell, I need a new trailer. I need my car to work so I can work. How do I HODL??

I would love to not have to work but at this stage its still a pipedream. I don't want to hurt fellow apes if I sell. Can you sell direct to another ape? I suppose I would need paper shares.

It isn't correct to take a 15 minute shower but most of the water is used by farmers to grown grain for cattle,the most comon culture is soy and most of it goes to feeding cows and pigs wich produce greenhouse gases and polutes the air even more than industrial activity,and farming in most developed countries uses a lot of fertilizers that end up poluting the water and interfiring with the O3 cicle
