A list of puns related to "Assimilate"
I mean isn't it the biggest plot hole of the whole franchise? Humans were just a pre-warp culture at that time
It's not like the Federation was a threat to the Borg during the 24th century. If the Borg weren't able to fight and assimilate them at that time, wouldn't it have been preferable for them to wait a fews more years and come back more powerful?
We will simply treat you the same way you have historically treated natives that you perceived as technologically inferior when entering new lands
Would reverting to a gelatinous state change anything? Or better yet something none organic and none technological. Granted the Borg are experts at adapting but nanoprobes vs a changling who decided to be a wooden table? Or tree?

I came to Texas from Kanyakumari when I was 26 years old. In the past 3 years, I have not had a very easy life socially. Almost all of my friends are recent immigrants from southern India.
I have tried to enter some North Indian circles, but frankly the language disparity between us is too large, and I get derided from not being able to speak Hindi.
I am probably going to get married soon, so I can assume that I will be staying in the US for a long time. How can I extent my social life past just recent immigrants from south India? I would also like to be able to extend this to US born Desis.
How do i double cards? For example impera brigade is supposed to double itself if i have 2 in my deck right?
Also what does it mean to create a unit in game? From what i understand its also supposed to trigger assimilate
I'm reading a lot lately about the history of immigration waves into the U.S., and most importnatly, how past immigrations handled so much better than today. How immigrant back then see their new home as a welcoming place they should love, but today, they feel like they arrived at a place that despises them. I asked myself, how can a nation do assimilation well? What are the tricks, the dos and don'ts that create a new harmonious society, instead of the highly divided, radicalized groups you hear almost every day? But when it came to the techniques of assimilation and policies regarding assimilation, I found almost nothing. So I'm turning to Reddit now. Can you list me a couple of key things?
Hello, I want to start off by saying that I know this build isn't really good, but when I through about it in my head it seemed like a lot of fun, and frankly now that I had a chance to nearly complete it, I can say it has it's charm.
I've recently started a melee assimilate build for nyx, which uses a lot of duration and efficiency, to the point where the bubble only consumes something like 1.5/s.
To help with movement, I am using a pennant built for heavy attack, combined with 2pc of amar's anguish, allowing me to instantly move to enemies up to 20m, which works pretty well.
I've found that a roll usually allows me to get within the range when enemies are too far, and if necessary I can always go in operator mode and move that way.
For arcanes, the main ones that I am using are energize and magus elevate, which allow me to stay in bubble at all time, and in the rare instances I get hit (nullified or general toggling off my accident), I can always get back my health by switching into operator and going back into my Warframe.
The only thing I can't figure out is what to subsume onto nyx that would complement a playstyle like this, since I don't need the extra mobility (lavos dash or reave). Gloom doesn't help either as it's just extra power consumption with nothing to add on (I don't take damage so I don't need health steal and the enemy slow doesn't do nothing since .. I don't take damage). The only thing that would add value would be rhino's roar, but it's a bit generic, and I don't have much power strength to begin with so the gains are minimal.
What do you guys think I should subsume onto my nyx and why?
And what role do the A-10 and B-52 play in defense of the planet?
Most assimilate folks I meet like to pass straight away early on in round 1, thinking itβs convention not to waste your good cards, and the other player will dry pass into R3.
I say fuck that strategy, youβll nearly always win if you bleed round 2+ leader at the last card
Scenario 1: Opponent uses leader ability as youβre bleeding, to ensure card advantage. Then, going into round 3, even though you have 1 less card, you make up for it with a free double cross pick of opponents best card, often times itβs a free braathens or artaud
Scenario 2: opponent saves leader, thinking theyβll get away with it to save for round 3. Then, when you play your last card, use leader on their last 2, and youβll get a free Artaud or braathens theyβre saving for R3, and itβs too late for them to leader you back.
I find scenario 2 happens 90% of the time. Opponent never expects you to go all in, then once you play last card, they donβt have a double cross target, and will not catch up
Win round 1, bleed round 2, if opponent double crosses, pass, and if opponent saves leader ability, use yours on last card so he has nothing to catch up with. Ez mirror wins. I actually canβt recall losing with this.
I'm running a game that will eventually reveal an ancient aboleth to be the BBEG. This aboleth has taken upon itself the title that comes with being the "strongest aberration", a title that mostly only existed in the now long since lost aboleth civilizations. However, this title was not given to the aboleth, but simply taken due to its increasingly large ego. And it is currently on a journey to consolidate power in any way possible. I toyed with the idea of it coming across an illithid colony ruled by an elder brain and wanting to expand its influence by merging with and assimilating the brain into itself in order to gain control over the hivemind. My only concern is the process by which that would happen. It could certainly eat the elder brain if the latter is caught off guard somehow, but I was hoping to be able to show a form of synthesis between the two. If anyone has any suggestions on how the aboleth might go about the process of merging the two, it would be greatly appreciated!
I'm not going to bore you with the details. If I'm being honest, I don't have the patience to relay all of the nitty-gritty minor aspects of my story. I mean, I've already wasted all of my energy in waiting over a millennium to carefully enact my plan of restoring the glorious reign that my kingdom once partook in.
You should have seen it. You puny little earthlings could not fathom the sheer power of my regime. We flourished with astounding eloquence simultaneously intertwined with raging preeminence. Each of my robot soldiers was rife with puissance, the likes of which you-Uh, where was I? Oh yeah... Yadda yadda, my kingdom's most significant treasure was wrongfully taken from me, the Core and I concocted an impenetrable plan for revenge, and I am currently overriding a prophecy (stating that three chosen subjects would save the world from utter chaos) that guaranteed 'unity' and 'prosperity' (bleck)I did slightly enjoy the presence of one of the girls in the prophecy. I guess you could say we were 'friends'; I see her as more of a pawn in a Machiavellian game older than the Castle de Monte. This ''friend'' rudely tried playing hero and intervened with my plan. She took the relic I so desperately sought after.
Look, I was formulating this plan for years. I could not afford to take any more risks. So, I did what was necessary (mind you, it was a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing) and took action. I mean, I was technically the one who did it, but her friend was the one who provoked me in the first place! She shouldn't have stood her ground and should have given up instead of making a whole big deal out of everything.I decided to do this ''friend''' a little favor by putting her into a rejuvenation tank, thus saving her life. The Core (a marvelous conglomerate of all of the sharpest minds in Amphibia), my leader, decided that I wasn't good enough to join them and demanded that this '''' friend'''' be assimilated into their hivemind. Keep in mind, I BEGGED the Core not to consider her as a host.. but despite my pleas, the Core knows best. The process of assimilation was difficult to watch. I couldn't help but avert my eyes.
She's been acting awfully snobby after this whole ordeal. One of my latest schemes was foiled due to a faulty controller. I executed the imbeciles behind that mechanism for foolishly allowing me to use it when they KNEW it wasn't readily available. Anyway, she called me pathetic!.. as if it was MY fault!.. and I

I'd love to hear Krystal and Saagar interview Goldman or to discuss his in-depth findings and projections. Since the Asia Times published this article, American imports from China have grown by 30 percent.
"We are now at the greatest turning point in Chinese history since its unification in the 3rd century B.C. China is turning outwardβbut doesnβt want to rule you. Like the Borg in Star Trek, it wants to assimilate you...
"Huawei provides the template for the new Chinese empire. The company bankrupted its competition and hired their talent. It dominates R&D in mobile broadband because its 50,000 foreign employees do most of the basic research. For the first time in its long history, China has succeeded in assimilating a critical mass of the Westβs scientific and engineering elite and harnessing them to its global ambitions...
"Mobile broadband is just the beginning. Chinaβs goal is to own the βcontrol pointsβ in every sphere of economic life. Think of industrial robots that talk to each other over 5G networks and employ artificial intelligence to design production techniques without human input; medical diagnostics drawing on continuously-updated vital signs and genetic histories of a billion people; mining robots directed by white-coated technicians with virtual reality visors; and a dozen other disruptive technologies made possible by the marriage of broadband and A.I."
I asked my gentile girlfriend to pick up some cream cheese for the lox in our fridge. She came home with pumpkin spice cream cheese. This is why assimilation will never work.
Edit: give money to the needy not awards to shmucks on reddit
Or is the extent to which the Anglo-Normans maintained their status as a people apart exaggerated?
Picard says the Borg would ignore them if they donβt consider them a threat, but presumably the crew in engineering and the occupants of sick bay werenβt a threat either. Regardless if the answer, still the best Trek film.
idk id just like to be a part of something bigger than myself
Is assimilation and integration different in this mod?
Think it's possible that they already had assimilated a copy of them from another sphere, since before the 24th century.
Would explain that the borg species designation numbers include species, which we never have seen as borg drones and could also possibly explain the origin of the queen. Maybe another artificial intelligence that spawned from a version of the sphere data.
Maybe the sphere data was also responsible for the Borg being able to enter other dimensions like fluidic space...
Good night all,
I very rarely come to Reddit, the last time I was here if I'm not mistaken was to suggest a buff to Onslaught and to cards that would sinergize with it (and that was really long ago). I don't really believe the devs would appreciate or even care to read this, but as someone who cares for the game, plays for a good amount of time and with some decent results (not top 64 yet, but maybe soon tm?) I find myself capable to argue about how some things are getting way out of balance with each and every patch.
First of all I would like to state that I will focus mainly on double cross leader ability and the assimilate mechanic, afterwards I'll suggest some slight changes that would make the impact of these mechanics to be lessened. Also, I don't see the previous changes that we received in past patches as the problem to what we face, but what we don't see on this patches being the biggest offender.
This leader survived the nuke on "play 2 cards a turn" era where Pincer Manuever, Second Wind and others were changed because turns out playing 2 cards a turn can be somewhat problematic. Back then if I'm not mistaken during the Dev. Stream the reasoning behind keeping its ability was that it was more of a "meme" leader and even tough it really was back when Lockdown reigned supreme we could always find someone playing full on Assimilate from time to time and it was cool, just another pointslam deck.
But it's been a while now that we've been getting more and more strong gold cards with capability of swinging the tide of the game (like Fucusya, Terranova, Mammuna) and that makes this leader exponetially better, not to mention that because the way the Ng tools are distributed nowadays it allows for it to play you high end cards 2 or 3 times more than you do with ease while activating assimilate.
I know there's always been the meme that "Ng plays your cards better than you do", but when that starts to affect competitive to the point where a leader is capable of playing for 20+ points (when hitting a Mammuna, Fucusya, She Who Knows, Simlas, etc) before he even plays his turn card is because something is very wrong.
Gwent evolved a lot since the start of Homecoming along with it's mechanics, we got a few that were ch
