A list of puns related to "Anthemis Nobilis"
As in the title, I don't recall doing anything out of the ordinary for my skin but my cheeks suddenly turned red(der than usual) a few weeks ago. My skin is usually rather sensitive (it reacts to 2 of 3 products I try on my face and then burns and turns red instantly - has reacted to quite a few Kiehl's products and the Ordinary's niacinimide). I went for an appointment with my beautician yesterday and my skin appears to be more sensitive than usual, it reacted to 2 products she tried to use to calm my skin and decided to use an ampoule in the end (not sure what it is exactly but it stopped the heat/burn and calmed the redness a little).
I took a shower earlier and washed my face twice (because I forgot I washed it already... stupid I know), and after my shower I usually apply a toner, serum, then moisturise. I skipped the serum because my face seemed to be reacting to the usual toner I used, and then reacted more to my moisturiser. I've used these products for over a year and it's the first time my skin has reacted to them so I'm a little shocked. Washed them off then settled for another moisturiser from my beautician's place.
Skin type: combination skin (more dry on my cheeks), prone to breakouts especially when I have my period or am stressed
AM Routine:
Cleanser - Kiehl's Calendula Deep Foaming Face Wash
Toner - cosrx One Step Original Clear Pad
(I know I should be using sunscreen, but I breakout easily and am reluctant to cake too much stuff on my face. Some recommendations for light sunscreen I've seen online aren't available here in Singapore so I still haven't found a solution yet.)
PM Routine:
Cleanser - Kiehl's Calendula Deep Foaming Face Wash
Toner - cosrx One Step Original Clear Pad
Serum - Simple Logic Regenerating Serum (this is bought from my beautician's place, a google search would tell you where it is because they seem to be the ONLY PLACE in the whole world using this brand??? If anyone else has heard of it please please tell me cause I'm weirded out by how there's literally no other trace of this supposedly German brand on the Internet. Ingredient list: Purified Water, Glycerin Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Solanum Lycopersicum Fruit Extract, Arctium Lappa Root Extract, Polysorbate 20, Sclerotium Gum Diazolidinyl Urea, Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil, Methylparaben, Propylparaben)
Moisturiser - cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

I am a hairdresser and have been doing Brazilian hair blow-drying in a salon for years. Evaporation of the product during blow-drying burns my eyes, my throat burns, sometimes I feel a burning sensation in my chest, I get headaches and sometimes migraines (I have had migraines for many years, but I noticed that I get them more often when I do more Brazilian treatments) , even some customers shed tears and have to keep their eyes closed while blow-drying.
Iβve never thought too much about the toxicity of the product, so I googled a bit and found a few articles that write about the dangers of the contents of Brazilian treatment products, so I decided to share with you some of the substances found in CHOCOCOCO and their side effects:
Some manufacturers claim that their keratin treatment does not contain formaldehyde, although there are studies that state the opposite.
I would just like to briefly explain the process of Brazilian blow-drying for those who do not know:
I think itβs a good idea to list all of the newly reformulated sunscreens of the failed Korean sunscreens. The new formulas look promising and many of the brands are being extra careful this time with independent testing, so we can be 100% confident that these sunscreens are the labeled SPF. I will list the sunscreens that I have came across that have been reformulated. If I missed any, leave them in the comments below.

For my birthday I decided to splurge on SR blue moon because I absolutely LOVE the smell. I received it and realized that the smell was much fainter then I remembered. I looked at the ingredients list and realized I could no longer find blue tansy or cocoa butter, 2 dyes were added, as well as other changes.
Hereβs the original ingredients list, which is what is on SRβs website: CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, SUCROSE LAURATE, JOJOBA ESTERS, ACACIA DECURRENS FLOWER WAX, GLYCERIN, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED WAX, POLYGLYCERIN-3, GLYCERYL BEHENATE, C10-18 TRIGLYCERIDES, THEOBROMA CACAO (COCOA) SEED BUTTER, PEG-8 BEESWAX, CETYL ALCOHOL , CETETH-20, STEARETH-20, POLYGLYCERYL-6, POLYGLYCERYL-3 BEESWAXL, SQUALENE, TANGERINE (CITRUS TANGERINA) OIL, CITRUS SINENSIS (SWEET ORANGE) OIL, TANACETUM ANNUUM (BLUE TANSY) LEAF OIL, MATRICARIA RECUTITA (GERMAN CHAMOMILE) ESSENTIAL OIL, VANILLA PLANIFOLIA FRUIT EXTRACT, YLANG YLANG (CANAGA ODORATA) FLOWER OIL, CITRUS AURANTIUM VAR. AMARA (NEROLI) FLOWER OIL, ANTHEMIS NOBILIS (CHAMOMILE ROMAN) FLOWER OIL, PHENOXYETHANOL, MORINGA OIL/ HYDROGENATED MORINGA OIL ESTERS (MORINGA BUTTER), CHLORPHENESIN, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL.
Here is what I received: https://imgur.com/a/UizQxFy
I messaged them about it and they said it is the same formulation but the ingredients list look different due to international regulators, but I call bullshit. Whereβs the blue tansy and cocoa butter? Where are the blue dyes in the original formula??
If Iβm missing something please let me know.
EDIT: the side of the box is also still advertising blue tansy and cocoa butter as βhighlighted ingredients,β so itβs not just that the website hasnβt been updated
Mad About Skin aka Rob is coming with a new skincare line consisting of 3 products.
What are your thoughts about him and this line overall? I watched a few of his videos but I can't quite decide if If he is genuine. The line is supposedly cruelty-free and fragrance-free. He stated he wants to be as transparent as possible and the ingredients in products look alright for the price which is quite affordable. It is especially nice to see another azelaic acid product, which hopefully won't have the horrible gritty texture every AZA product has.

A little background: I live in a humid country with dehydrated, combination, acne-prone skin. My main concerns with my skin right now is CCs, calming and hydrating.
Greenful pH-Balanced Cleansing Foam 4.5/5 MRP
Glycerin, Mung Bean Extract, Sodium Cocoyl Glycinate, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Lauryl Betaine, Betaine, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Extract, Coccinia Indica Fruit Extract, Solanum Melongena (Eggplant) Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Flower Extract, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Corallina Officinalis Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Phaseolus Radiatus Seed Powder, Dextrin, Allantoin, Water, Ceramide NP, Green Tea Powder, Ethylhexylglycerin
Compared to all cleansers Iβve used so far, this was probably one of the best. Itβs a pretty light green with a thick paste texture, and has small bits of what seems to be mung bean. In my opinion, you can smell mung bean, just slightly, but I didnβt mind it at all as it reminds me of those asian dessert places haha. The cleanser itself foams, but for me it wasnβt stripping at all. The cleanser contains lots of extracts which could be good for the skin, but honestly since itβs a wash-off product, I couldnt feel any of the benefits :β) The downside would be the price. In my country, it is sold for $12 for 80ml, which is more expensive than any other cleansers Iβve ever used :(
Chamomile pH-Balanced Toner 3.5/5 WNRP
Chamomile Flower Extract (80.65%), Propanediol, Methylpropanediol, Glycerin, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Trehalose, Centella Asiatica Extract, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Betaine, Butylene Glycol, Allantoin, Cellulose Gum, Disodium EDTA, Ceramide-NP, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin
Okay so this was a 3.5 for me, just because of my skin type and the weather in my country. For oily-combo skin in humid
... keep reading on reddit β‘I am trying to understand what is the deal with Purito and their sunscreens.
They have two different sunscreens
Although they have the same two UV filters (one UVA filter and one UVB filter), the formulation is not the same. However, the company claims the exact same SPF and UVA PF results for both sunscreens: PPD of 22.59 and SPF of 84.5 (you can see the videos below). This is very strange as even if the exact same formulation is tested twice, we will not get the EXACT same results.
Apart from the fact that they have used one set of results for both sunscreens, which is fairly suspicious, they have disclosed the percentage of UV filters used in their unscented formulation. According to their website: βThe PURITO Centella Green Level Safe Sun contains 3% of Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate and 2% of Ethylhexyl Triazone.β
This means that they claim an SPF of 84.5 just from 2% of a single UVB filter.
Now in contrast to this sunscreen, we have the Invisible fluid (formerly known as the Shaka Fluid) from La Roche Posay. This sunscreen claims to feature a special technology to βgel and stabilize the droplets containing the filters, thus forming an extremely tight and protective structureβ. With this technology on board, the company still uses a good amount of UV filters, namely Octisalate (5%), Uvinul T 150 (4.5%), Tinosorb S (4%), Avobenzone (3.5%), Mexoryl XL (2%), Mexoryl SX (0.495%).
As in Europe any SPF above 60 can only be labelled SPF 50+, we can only learn more information about this productβs SPF from other countries. In Brazil, it is marketed as SPF 60 when they are able to market products with SPF 70 (https://www.laroche-posay.com.br/anthelios/hydraox-fluid-fps60). So I will assume it has an SPF of 60 - 70.
So, La Roche Posay must use a special technology and 9.5% UVB filters and 6.495% of broad spectrum filters, i.e. a total of 16% of filters blocking UVB (8 times more filters) to get a lower SPF.
Even the filter used by Purito at 2%, is used by La Roche Posay at 4.5%, i.e. more than double.
Now for the UVA protection, La Roche Posay claim a PPD of 46 as opposed to 22.59, but still there, they use 10% of UVA filters as opposed to 3%. So, they are using more than 3 times the amount of filters to achieve double the PPD value.
Is it possible that the formulation of the Purito is so special that they can use 8 times less filters to get a higher SPF???

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

I bought the ingrown hair serum from European Wax Center when I went there to get a Brazilian, however I like wax my face occasionally at home. The problem is that waxing always causes me to breakout (I will not ever do dermaplaning, personal preference). No skincare products seem to ever prevent this from happening, so I was wondering if anyone had any inside knowledge about this? It has glycolic acid and a bunch of other great ingredients. When I asked about it and they said they don't recommend it for use on the face. I tried looking up the percent of glycolic acid in it and could not find anything.
Here is the ingredient list:
Water (aqua/eau), Butylene glycol, Glycerin, Polysorbate 20, Camellia sinensis leaf extract, Euterpe oleracea (acai) extract, Coffea arabica (coffee) extract, Anthemis nobilis flower extract, Tocopheryl acetate, Glycolic acid, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl glycol, Sorbic acid
Also, I'm asking this because it's a product I already have on hand and I like the stuff that's in it.

This cleanser had a very creamy and sticky texture. It foams a little when you rub your hands together with water. As the whole line is targeted towards sensitive skin, it is a very gentle cleanser.
Thoughts:
Okay I actually didnβt really expect much from this product when I first used it. It was a huge impulse buy and I actually regretted buying it. Prior to using this cleanser, I was using the Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser and letβs just say that it was one big roller coaster haha. I switched over to this cleanser in hopes to save my skin and also because it was just collecting dust on my desk lol.
The texture is sooooo fun to play with. Even though itβs creamy, itβs also rather sticky. Itβs nothing like the other cleansers Iβve tried before. It doesnβt foam up too much so my skin doesnβt feel stripped.
While it doesnβt have any added fragrances, it does have a smell. Personally to me it smells like someone threw up in it, but some people say it smells herbal like or plastic like or mineral like. Yeah lots of different smells LOL. I thought I had bought a fake so I went and bought another cleanser (travel version) from the official store and it smells the same so rip ;-;.
Itβs a no nonsense kind of cleanser, does what it needs to do and does it well. It doesnβt remove makeup that well because itβs quite gentle, so you might need a first cleanser for that. For su

Althrough declare at MIA the flagship HMASV Oleanders IX was a huge moral blow, the Evergreens didn't gave up to its enemies who now have breached through their frontiers.
Madame Anthemis Nobilis decided that their biggest battleships weren't as good nor great as the Oleanders IX, and they needed something to replace the great hole that its dissapearence had caused.
At the same moment a new spaceship engineer, Euphorbia Mellifera, presented himself to the board with a prototype he wanted to carry out. It doesn't had a name already, and it was a mere scratch, but he was convinced that it could reverse the scales in their favor once again.
Her comrades disagreed, but she saw great promise in Mellifera's proposal.
So, she slam the table in front of the board, she called it "HMASV Woodsiaceae II", and then, screamed: "DO IT"

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
Heard they've been doing some shady business.
So I'm poor but wanted to throw together a list of the skin care product I would buy if I wasn't with a brief analysis of the ingredients. I'm using the website Incidecoder to analyze the ingredients of these products, I highly recommend it for skin care shopping.
Prices listed are from the fff edit sale, not retail.
This moisturizer has a ton of really great ingredients. I actually found it a few weeks ago when I was reverse searching for moisturizers with a ton of ceramides and linoleic acid and was keeping an eye out for it on the edit sale since they frequently carry Sunday Riley. Ultimately I wont buy it because the price is to high for me and it has pineapple extract in it and me and pineapple do not get along (think mouth full of blisters within minutes of eating it) so i'm not messing with that.

I'm still debating wether to get this or not because it's actually really affordable. It's basically just a really moisturizing toner. Since it has a lot of hyaluronic acid, best practice is you would apply it to damp skin so. It also has panthenol which is a very healing ingredient.
Notable Ingredients:
Antioxidant: Portulaca Oleracea Extract
Skin-identical ingredient: Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium PCA, Glycerin, Hyaluronic Acid
Soothing: Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Beta-Glucan, Panthenol
If I hadn't just stoked up on a bunch of DHC cleansing oil from Costco I would for sure by this (an HG for me but kind of price). I've read a lot of good reviews of it.
Notable Ingredients
Antioxidant: Olea Europaea (Olive Oil), Tocopherol
Soothing: Oenothera Biennis Oil

When I got home, they were still there.
I won't be doing that today!
Iβve been using the new formulation Round Lab Birch Sun Cream SPF 50 PA++++ for about a month now. And itβs honestly to good to be true.
No white cast, non-greasy (almost matte) and sinks in the skin. How is this possible? It makes me worry that itβs really like SPF 5 lol. Has anyone used this before and had any experience with it?
