Iβm first gen American born and raised in California to Hispanic parents. I canβt really think any traditions of cultural aspects itβs known for (such as music, dances, food, activities/festivities, etc) from before the 1950βs and that doesnβt include immigrant impact afterwards. Iβve noticed thereβs a lot of music and dance related preservation in Latin American countries but not really here in the US in general.
I guess it also depends on the state since states like Texas and Louisiana seem to have strong cultural preservation with Texas having strong Anglo, and Hispanic roots (and I think German? Not sure)that make up its culture and Louisiana having strong French and creole/black roots that make up its culture.
Edit: I know California has Hispanic roots from the past similarly to Texas, but itβs not preserved in the way where itβs celebrated and remembered since there was a lot of migration/immigration to California afterwards.
