After discovering this reddit last November, I was quickly repfluenced (did i say that right) by u/GhostAerie who had posted some photos somewhere (link that I cannot find!!). She had compared the auth necklace to her bracelet and I was sold! I definitely feel like I jumped into 18k quick but I figured I can’t keep buying bags - I really need to feel like I’ve used a bag adequately before bringing a new one into my life and my neck had been feeling kind of bare…

I’ll admit it I was trying to keep up with said friend, but as time would have it, just as I received the necklace in the mail, this friend ended up dumping me on the grounds that I do not contribute enough $$ to be on the receiving end of their friendship (yes!!!! It’s as shallow as it sounds, she is a social climber… lol) Anyway, so I consider this a F. U necklace. On to the necklace...

Okay, enough of that; onto the review!!!

 

Quality- 9/10

The necklace is overall very beautiful. I’ve worn it nonstop for almost a month now and the vgold has not shown any sign of tarnishing and still looks like genuine gold. The gold color isn’t overly yellow and looks very close to 18K gold as far as I can tell. At first I thought it might be too yellow but then I realized I was 1. comparing it to my 14K pieces and 2. comparing it to rose gold (I almost exclusively own rose gold). After going to a jeweler, I looked at their 18K and it looks pretty close to me. The MOP is very lovely to look at and has a beautiful iridescent sheen to it. The necklace actually has two sides to it though, and one side has very flawed, wavy MOP (-0.5) so I was a bit annoyed at that. Sadly, I like the prongs on that side more (the sides have different prong shapes) but such is life. For the sake of fair scoring, I’ll take half a point off since it’s not actual gold (-0.5)

Okay so I’ve really spent some time comparing this and you’ll definitely need a visual aid while reading this so go to the comparison photos I have linked up above to really see a good comparison. So let’s do this in categories. Material, color, shape, outer beads, prongs, and chain loops, chain, stamping, and clasps.

Quality: 9.5/10

• Both the necklace and bracelet are very well constructed! The color is practically the same with some of my 18k gold jewelry. It does not have that too yellow gold plating just like some vermeil pieces I’ve gotten before from Taobao. (Let me know if you want to see a review on that one too!)

Hi all - happy 2022! This is my first review, which I've been meaning to post for awhile. I have a pair of authentic MOP earrings purchased in early 2021 so this is a combined review/comparison, though I've never held the authentic onyx earrings before or seen them in store.

**Quality - 9.75/10**

• XY quality is top-notch. I have a XY vintage Alhambra necklace and the chain is a little thin and light compared to the authentic but these earrings feel authentic when you hold them in your hands. My authentic MOP earrings weigh .25oz and these onyx earrings weight .28oz.
• The hinges are nice and tight but not too tight. They open and close smoothly. The edges of the earrings are smooth and there are no sharp/unfinished edges.
• The engraving is neat and crisp.
• There are no noticeable gaps between the onyx clovers and the gold beads. I'm taking off .25 here because the not all of the gold beads are perfectly round. They are very very close but if you scrutinize it closely, there's something not quite 100% symmetrical about all of them.

**Accuracy - 9/10**

• This is going to seem harsh but I'm being really nitpicky. It's also based on my comparison against my authentic MOP earrings but I've seen older VCA earrings that have similar backing to what XY uses so it's possible these differences are only when compared against newer VCA earrings.

• XY has amazing craftsmanship for the price.
• The motif is secured to the chain firmly
• The lab diamond is clear and sparkles beautifully.
• The pendant has a nice weight and color to it.

Accuracy: 9.5/10

• As its been noted in other reviews, XY’s chain is a little thin compared to the auth (-.5 pt.) Because of this, the chain has a different feel. Not as smooth as authentic. I have an authentic Alhambra MOP Pendant for comparison and anyone who has authentic VCA pieces will notice this for sure, IMO. To the naked eye though, you cannot really tell unless you examine very closely. For me, comfort and feel of jewelry is a big thing and thus the (.5) point deduction. The necklace is nicely weighted and 18k gold. I have a slight nickel allergy and this necklace does not bother me at all.
• The motif is perfect in its size and shape. I compared it side by side to my authentic VCA and proportions and details are pretty accurate.
• VCA symbol on the clasp is facing the wrong direction on one side (-0.25) I read that XY had fixed this issue, but looks like she has not as of Dec 2021.

Satisfaction: 10/10 - For the price I paid, I’d say I got a great deal. 18k gold + diamond and a nicely crafted beautiful piece of jewelry. I would feel comfortable wearing this everyday without too much worry.

Since I found out about VCA last year (I am from a different planet, I know XD), I always wanted a 5-motif vintage bracelet. After thinking about it for 2 years, I decided to go with the guilloche. Why? It is durable, easy to maintain, shiny, hard to rep, and that I don't need to take off/baby it.

Condition: Brand new items only worn for a few hours to test them out. They are both adjustable and could probably fit from size 5.5 to 8. **CARTIER INTERLOCKING LOVE NECKLACE PINK GOLD W

Didn't see anything on this sub about it, so I figured I'd give a review on it incase others were interested.

I don't own Herod, but I've sampled it.

Definately similar to Herod... they totally nailed the cherry cigar vibe herod was about, but sweeter, and quieter on the tobacco.

It smells exactly like Captain Black cherry cigars.

It's masculine sweet, like really sweet, gourmandish and a bit synthetic.. slight cough syrup vibe in the opening but that goes away on dry down.

Performance is in my opinion average...5 sprays, and it projected for a good hour, then to my nose became a skin scent 5 hours in... but right now it's 8 hours later and my wife says it's still going strong, so I don't know.

My expectations were really low when I bought it, but it suprised me. I give it a solid 7/10.

The necklace is beautiful but there is a flaw to the pendant which I explain below...

Seller claims it is gold plated and for the price I can't really complain. I asked if it's real MOP and she said it's "white fritillary" which I guess means fake MOP. Pendant is lightweight though and feels a little cheap.

## **Accuracy - 7/10*\

I have not seen or held the auth before.

Necklace is beautiful and looks to be the correct width (auth is 0.59" and rep looks accurate when measured). A pretty big problem is that the surface has a small dent /curve and it's not flat and smooth as it should be (see my photos) (-2). It makes me want to wear the necklace backwards as the dent is pretty calloutable, but the back has lines around the Clover rather than dots (which I think is same on the auth?) So it would be obvious it's backwards. And the fake MOP doesn't have a nice rainbow shine on the back making it look a bit cheap (-1).

Aside from that, it has all the stampings (didn't really QC the stamping) and chain is a nice gold color.

I wish the surface didn't have that dent and I asked the seller to send a replacement, but she didn't respond. If you decide to order, hopefully it's a good one!

I've seen a review on this VCA Necklace from Anna which is apparently gold electroplated and real MOP for over $100 USD. so I think I'm pretty satisfied with this budget rep considering the price.

Accidentally bought a kind that requires a smartphone -- guess what I don't have?

Two ellume-brand rapid tests, unopened and sealed. These are the sort that require you to download an app and link directly to a smartphone in order to receive your results. One single test each, per box.

Also I did double-check; these are not the lot numbers involved in the recent recall for false positives, from this same brand. So they're good there. But I can't speak to any other accuracy. (I usually grab Bitnax before a family get-together, but the local pharmacies were out.)

  • MC is widely regarded as the best when it comes to rep 18k jewellery. She uses real gold and materials
  • Quality of stone: Lapis is very highly coveted in the VCA world! The stone VCA uses is a dark, rich lapis with some gold flicking. VCA claims that they can’t produce lapis products anymore because they can’t source enough of the proper quality stone.
    The quality of lapis in the real world varies quite a bit, with light blue or blue / grey heathering stones. I was very clear with MC that I wanted dark, rich stones and I wanted them to be consistent across all 10 on both sides. See pictures but I think she did very well on this front. All the 10 motifs appear cohesive in colour and the gold flicking is a nice addition, rather than a visual distraction

I’ve been really reminiscing on some of the first Korean dramas I watched, and some of them just hold a specific vibe. It’s not because they’re both a specific genre or type but they just feel comforting to me.

I’ve been flying through a lot of dramas the past few years, and I have a MAJOR issue with drama jumping because unless I really love it in the moment I tend to drop it halfway through ): but I’m reallly in the mood for something new that’s similar to these.

I have a few dramas in mind that I haven’t seen but I’m not sure if they fit what I’m looking for exactly? (Like hotel de luna, chicago typewriter, hospital playlist, my holo love, hot stove league- I’m not sure if they really fit and I don’t want something I’ll drop because I get bored. so if they fit my picky watching habits do let me know!)

Basically I want a drama with some action, some romance, some angst, and a color palette that is very bright and cinematic, like Vincenzo / King of The Eternal Monarch / ExtraOrdinary You / WWYS / CLOY / DOTS / Goblin / W: Two Worlds, etc— (already watched these of course).

A fantasy setting is fine, but I feel like with the shows I’m looking for it’s more of a fantasy aspect with a regular office job or city setting type of deal. Plus, throw in some Chinese or Tdramas too, if you have ‘em. (I’ve already seen Someday or One Day and Lost Romance, both phenomenal).

Hope I wasn’t too crazy picky, but these quarantine kdrama mood swings hit me hard!

Let me preface this post by saying I have never dropped $500 on ANYTHING in my life except for like a laptop, phone, etc. So purchasing this necklace for myself was a BIG deal for me! Hope this review helps!

I know there have been a lot of posts about XYs guilloche necklace. I got repfluenced so hard when I read this post. I didn’t even know this necklace existed, let alone knew what VCA was! But I saw the auth in videos and fell in LOVE. Please note, I fell HARD for the AUTH, not the rep. After seeing the comparison from the Auth to rep, I knew the rep was mediocre. Then checked the price on Auth and saw that it was a whopping $3500. Let’s go back to when I said that I’ve never spent more than $200 on myself, ever. So $3500?! Heck naw. I told myself, “what if I got a promotion and make more money? Would I ever spend $3500 on a necklace?” I was also like oh heck naw. I just can’t justify that price for ME, only. For someone else? Maybe. But for ME? No. Shoot, I could get my whole house re-floored for that money money! So, it was either rep or nothing. Tho I wasn’t in love with the rep, it was that or never have anything like the Auth and I was okay with the rep over nothing.

So I contact XY, hyperventilate when I send that much money to someone I don’t even know. And she told me 20ish days but it only took about 5!

Quality: 10/10

Source: ZhouYuQin. She is a seller I know from Xiaohongshu, and she doesn't ship to USA. I know a shipping company in China that can ship Reps to USA, so every time I ordered from her I just asked her to ship to the company, and let the company shipped it to me.

Quality: The entire bracelet is very new and well structured. The only thing is I ordered a so-called 'lower version', so the mother of pearl is slightly thicker and the gold wrapped it is slightly thinner.
