Agave Tequilana Puns

Just wondering if anyone has had any success doing this? I am also wondering what sort of growth rate I would be looking at? I live in Scotland, so I won't have the bright and intense summers many others here will have. Will it grow OK indoors or do they need intense heat/light to survive? Thanks.

So I think Sunday Riley shot themselves in the foot with posting fake product reviews, not only in terms of PR, but also by creating false expectations. I knew about the fake reviews, but I was still intrigued, so I bought three samples from eBay.

I decided to use it every night until I finished it, which really streamlined my routine. GG is a gel cream that never seems to fully absorb, so I’d wash my face, put on eye moisturizer and GG, and follow it up with some marula oil. Although it’s technically an active, it feels moisturizing.

After a couple of days, I was like: when does the magic happen? My skin felt and looked fine, but it was in no way transformed. I thought perhaps I wasn’t using it enough, so I stepped it up to morning and night. Still no noticeable improvement.

It’s possible I got bad/fake/expired samples, so I ordered two more from a different vendor. Just confirmed for me that GG is nothing more than an insanely overpriced moisturizer.

Verdict: Definitely would not repurchase. I have a little bit left, and I’ll probably use it up in the next week or two.

I wrote a poem the other day.

to prove a point.

I’m reading ‘Tequila a Global History’ and the author writes:

“In fact, tequila production is regulated to the level that each blue agave pod – Agave tequilana ‘Weber Azul’ – is tagged with a GPS co-ordinate and monitored by satellite.”

What is that about? It surely isn’t real. Am I misunderstanding?

So... I may or may not have been keeping a weather eye on upcoming SPF releases ever since Director Ahn In-Sook mentioned in passing in a video that many cosmeceutical brands have either put a stopper on releasing new sunscreens or postponed the release of those awaiting completion to better the formula and ensure they're up to snuff, thus there will be a slew of SPF releases come March. Spearhead -Seaforth! Sea Spice Lime - A Seaworthy Scent

Spearhead Shaving is a relative newcomer to the wetshaving world. Founded in 2019 in glorius Dayton Ohio Spearhead is a family run business operated by Dennis (u/Ironbeard_SYS) and his wife with the occasional help from their daughters. Spearhead began out of a passion for wetshaving and blogging and its roots still show in Spearhead's product writeups which are some of the best in the business. Spearhead first hit the market with a modernized Gillette Khaki reproduction case. And then revived the historic Seaforth! shaving brand. In collaboration with Shawn Maher (u/hawns) of Chatillon Lux Spearhead! has revived and modernized two Seaforth! scents with one more on the way.

The latest development in the Seaforth! line is Sea Spice Lime another out of production classic brought back to life. The orginal S.S.L which launced in 1966 was light and vibrant and, Spearhead's take on the scent keeps that fresh spirit. After finding out I was located just down the road from Spearhead HQ Dennis kindly offered to send a sample tub of Sea Spice Lime to me for my thoughts on the fragrance.

The scent of S.S.L. contains notes of lime, salty ocean, cedarwood, pink pepper, coriander, and West Indies bay.

Sea Spice Lime is light and pleasant off the puck but does not reveal its true nature until well whipped up. Once lathered this is an adventurous scent as vast as the sea. The bright duo of fresh lime and sharp pink pepper open the scent while up above an expansive note of salty sea air sets the backdrop for the rest of the fragrance. The lime and pepper meld into a strong and warm heart of cedarwood which is punctuated by a gritty combination of coriander and West Indies bay both which are tempered to the exact perfect proportion to accentuate the fragrance as a whole without becoming overly spiced like so many bay scents. As the coriander and bay roll away like the tide out to sea, all that remains is the fresh and simple note of ocean air.

Simply put: Sea Spice Lime is an absolute winner.

I followed my shave up with B&M's Reserve Waves which plays quite well with S.S.L.'s overall structure but I am partial to dickholing and would like to try the aftershave splash as those tend to express the fragrance more openly than soaps and balms.

Solitary Patrón Snow

I really enjoy Patrón for what it is, especially when it is very cold. This tequila is smooth with little burn, good flavor that’s forward if you’re sipping it neat, but steps a bit back if you’re making a cocktail.

It can seem a little overhyped and over marketed. But there’s something to be said for smoothness and it’s one of the ones I always have in the cabinet purely due to its consistency.

If you have never had tequila or at least tequila by itself, then let Patrónbe the gateway tequila that lets you forgo any bad Cuervo experiences you could have had, or even have had I suppose. For those who love tequila based mixed drinks, Patrón will give you the confidence to ditch the syrupy mixers, and start exploring the many wonderful artisanal options available.
