Recently I was approached on Facebook buy a (So called) Heathen group. They said they were about building community and would love if my family checked it out. I thought sure. So My husband and sister and I joined their group and everyone was nice until someone in the group saw a picture of my sister. She’s 1/4 Jamaican. They lost it and kicked her off the page. Sent her a long email explaining she was to ethnic and they didn’t want her culture infecting theirs. They then told my husband and I, do to our assumed 100% whiteness we could stay. We left. If they had told us they had those rules we never would have subjected our family to that. Are all of the AFA like that?

[worried] Oh, oh dear. Were you up late again last night? I told you to stop working at 10:30. How late were you up? (pause) Alright, come on. Yes it’s important. We are making cookies. Nope. You have absolutely no say in this.

(you get up and walk to the kitchen)

I’ve already pulled the butter. Let me go get the sugar. (pause) Would you get over here! This butter is not going to cream itself. I know you’re tired, but this’ll be fun. Besides, what better way to spend Christmas morning than making gingerbread men? Pleeeeeeease? (pause) Yes! Alright! I’m gonna go get the rest of the ingredients. I already ground up the spices.

[far away] Let’s see… Vanilla, eggs, flour, brown sugar, molasses, and… Baking soda! Okay, I think that’s all we need.

[playful] Of course I got the cookie cutters. What do you think we’re going to make, gingerbread blobs? *laughs* Keep stirring. I’m gonna measure the dry. Yeah, sure. We can trade places. You know, cookie batter looks kinda gross without the dry ingredients. It’s just sort of… slop.

[alarmed] What are you doing?! You can’t put the flour in yet! You need to sift it first, you goof! Go get the sifter before we end up with gingerbread flavored potatoes.

(pause)

[cautious] What were you doing that kept you up so late last night?

[upset] They what? And you went along with it! Excuse me, no. Time out. You can’t keep doing this to yourself! That was due like, January 10th. There was no need for it to be done on Christmas Eve. Yeah, no. You can do so much better than those ungrateful jerks. Come here.

i'm webs, and i'm looking for a few new partners to write with.

i have been writing since the age of neopets (rip) and have transitioned over to gaiaonline, where i have found some of the most phenomenal partners and friends. and now that gaia's roleplay scene seems to be dying down... i figured i might as well try reddit - at least there's no chance of that dying on me!

i'm a full time teacher who works a lot of side gigs and has a few hobbies. that being said, i'm online frequently and i'm active on discord. i tend to write multi-paragraphs (standard size is 5 detailed paragraphs) and write in third person, past tense. i prefer writing on gdocs but i can do discord as well! real-life face claims preferred but never necessary. additionally i'm a huge fan of doubling, as it gives us both the opportunity to explore what we'd like!
