A list of puns related to "Acclamation"
I'm starting a large table. (New to woodworking) How long should I let wood sit in the garage before I build?
It will be s4s from the hardwood dealer but I'm sure I will be cutting/planing it more. Probably will be cherry or red oak. Not sure if that makes a big difference.
Before all assembled
Myrddin proclaimed
An heir was found
For Uthyr.
No base-born boy,
Averse to power,
But the right-born
Son of the queen.
"Artorius Glaw,
In his third lustrum,
Born of Eigyr
After Uthyr's conquest.
And by his side,
By the side of this prince,
Anna Gwyar,
His twin and equal."
There was discontent,
Rumbling of voices
In Uthyr's hall,
'Til forward stepped
Madawg ap Uthyr,
The King's Bastard,
And drew his sword,
And knelt and nodded.
"Brother Artus,
Lord and Prince,
I pledge you always
My loyal defense."
Arthur, called Tegid,
Stood in confusion,
'Til Myrddin his teacher
Nudged his arm.
Then did he reach out
To Madawg's shoulder
And smile and murmur
"Brother, arise."
And when that bastard
Was again on his feet,
Then the twins rushed
To embrace him.
And among the nobles
Cadwr of Cornwall
Dared to step forward
And look on them.
"You do both look,"
The young duke said,
"Like my dear mother,
Like good Queen Eigyr."
And now Arthur and Anna,
They called that one brother,
And there were smiles
And bold laughter,
And much clasping of hands.
Then Arthur looked over
And called Ector and Caius.
"You still are family too."
Still the nobles grumbled
And might have rioted
Had not then Eigyr,
Noble Queen Eigyr,
Entered the place
And strode to the twins
And embraced them
And wept to see them again.
"Now wait," cried Loth,
Young scholar Loth,
Who from old Alba
Had journeyed far.
"Is it not best
That Uthyr the King
Declares this boy
His son and heir?"
"The King is weak,"
The Queen replied,
"And best had sleep
Still more a while.
When he wakes,
When Uthyr wakes,
Then will he see
This son proclaimed."
Still the grumbling,
Still soft tumult,
'Til at last there fell
A faltering step.
Uthyr, dying Uthyr,
With help of Cato,
Shambled corpse-like
Through the hall.
All was silence,
Trembling fear,
As living spectre
Moved toward youth.
At a gesture Myrddin
Produced a sword,
Uthyr's first sword,
To rest in kingly grasp.
"No son but mine,"
Uthyr rattled,
"Can claim this weapon
From my hand.
Go on now, boy,
And prove it true,
And be a king now
If you can."
With trembling hand
Arthur reached out
And joined his grasp
To Uthyr's own.
For one so near death,
So like a corpse walking,
Uthyr's grasp was
Firm as stone.
There they stood,
Boy and man,
Not contending,
Not
Idk whatβs going on but Iβve seen this trend unfolding for a few years now. Thereβs a scene in Idiocracy:
(βAnd the #1 movie in the country was called "Ass." And that's all it was for 90 minutes. It won eight Oscars that year, including best screenplay." Ass is a movie featured in the Mike Judge film Idiocracy. It consists of a man standing in front of a camera, with his buttocks in full view. Occasionally his farts can be heard.)
Last night I saw Candyman (2021) and Im glad I didnβt pay for it because itβs the worst movie Iβve seen since I saw βCall Me By Your Nameβ last year. I incorrectly thought this film was one of Jordan Peele, but he was the screenwriter and producer and a new comer Nia DaCosta was the director.
Im a big fan of Jordan Peeleβs previous horror films. Theyβre more psychological horror and I love that they tackle social commentary that leaves you thinking about them for days and weeks after watching. Theyβre contested by some but I thoroughly enjoyed them and I was even willing to give DaCosta an unbiased watch on Candyman. I was a little worried that the film was short but had high hopes. Case in point, Halloween (1978) by then newcomer John Carpenter.
This ended up being one of the worst films Iβve ever seen and I think the only reason so many people are praising it is because it lead to DaCosta being recognized as the first black woman that directed a #1 film. Which is a wonderful accomplishment but jfc why did it have to be this film?
Look, I fully support BLM. I support critical race theory. I voluntarily took and thoroughly enjoyed African American history classes at my college. I can talk about the differences between Booker T Washington vs W.E.B. DuBois and MLK vs. Malcolm X. I can talk about how the Black Panthers are the original creators of the Free School Lunch Program. I love learning about issues we face and doing my due diligence to be an ally and bring change.
This movie was pure social commentary. It wasnβt subtle and it wasnβt deep. I donβt mind brutally bare without hand holding to illicit feelings in the audience but this is a heavy handed tool that should be used sparingly to enhance the story and add value without causing everything to become watered down. I donβt mind surface level commentary when it isnβt the driving force of the entire film. It seemed like DaCosta didnβt have enough film experience to execute this film the way she wanted to. She painted the entire film heavy handedly with constant social

We have a discussion about if the 9" limit of the litany is applied over the 12" limit of the relic. Or the litany can increase an aura from 6" to 9" and then the helm from 9" to 12".
Background - Iβve been using my CPAP for about 10 days (Dream Station, with Dream Wear FF mask). Itβs going pretty well. After trying the various sizes that came with my initial order Iβve settled in and I think Iβm getting good sleep. Most nights I havenβt had to get up to use the bathroom (this would happen before because the apnea woke me). Iβm waking up slightly earlier than my alarm and generally feeling rested. Sometimes my throat feels a little tight or I have had a small cough, but Iβve been adjust the moisture settings and that seems to help.
Issue - Iβm wondering if my sudden ability to sleep and dream has opened up something in my subconscious. I feel sort of sad and/or unmotivated, but Iβm normally more mentally energetic. I havenβt quite put my finger on the feeling and I was feeling slight anxiety over world events, but I donβt think thatβs it. I even decided to take a couple days off work (I work from home and had a bunch of vacation time building up).
TL/DR - Is it normal for people who are suddenly getting good sleep to feel some emotional distress or upheaval? How long does it last? Does it have a name?
Thanks!
I've got a brand new baby ferret that I r gently adopted. When I did, I was suggested to keep her in her cage for a week to acclamate her to her new environment and give her little contact with people. Is this the right thing to do or should I socialize and let her explore my room?
Okay so does it let the chaplin set vox to 11 on his own? Or sense it says within 6 inches of this priest he has to tell the other chaplin to set vox to 11?
