A list of puns related to "William Hickey (actor)"
In 2012 BDS was calling for musical boycotts. David Renzer (at the time Chairman/CEO of Universal Music Publishing) and Steve Schnur (Music President, Electronic Arts) got together to form a group to help protect their musical artists against BDS harassment called Creative Community for Peace. They soon got: Warner Bros Records, Sony/ATV Publishing, Geffen Records, Atlantic Records, Columbia Records, William Morris Endeavor, Interscope Records, Ultra Records, AEG Presents, Capitol Records, and Amazon to join. They offered 3 services to managers and agents:
Advice, recommendations and support in monitoring and/or managing the messages on social or in traditional media when their artists were under attack.
Support, information, and further explanations of various accusations or threats being made.
Arrangements to meet with β and possibly perform with β Israelis and Palestinians who use music and the art as a bridge to peace; to connect, communicate and better understand each otherβs narratives.
Eventually bands started helping band members. Groups like: Bon Jovi, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, One Republic, The Backstreet Boys, Robbie Williams, Justin Timberlake, Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso, alt-J, Chris Brown, Suzanne Vega, Diana Krall, Art Garfunkel, The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Dionne Warwick, Rihanna, Clean Bandit, Martin Garrix, Kygo, Enrique Iglesias, The Chainsmokers, Carlos Vives, Jason Derulo, A$AP Ferg, Ziggy Marley, PUSHA T, Chronixx, David Guetta, Flying Lotus, The Black Eyed Peas, Metallica, Linkin Park, Lady Gaga, Daddy Yankee, Akon, Alicia Keys, Justin Bieber, 30 Seconds to Mars, Julio Iglesias, REM, Barbra Streisand, Kaiser Chiefs, Pet Shop Boys, Guns Nβ Roses, Burt Bacharach, Cyndi Lauper, Placebo, Chris Cornell, Alan Parsons, Tony Bennett, Matisyahu, Ron Carter offered their own experiences in how they handled and dealt with BDSer led intimidation and harassment campaigns directly to the groups while allowing Creative Community for Peace to service record companies, managers / agents and band members.
Creative Community for Peace supports dialogue and exchange over cultural boycott:
> We at Creative Community For Peace hope for a peaceful and lasting resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We believe dialogue, which can be facilitated through the arts and music, is crucial to helping to achieve this goal. The BDS movement β both thr

Those who have seen the original Puppet Master movie, William Hickey played Andre Toulon. As I'm watching the film for the first time in YEARS, I realized that I had also seen him in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (as Uncle Lewis). More importantly, I learned he was also the voice behind Dr. Finklestein from Nightmare Before Christmas :D

If you'd have told me when I was a kid that the guy from "Swingers" was going to usher in the Marvel cinematic universe, redefine the "Star Wars" universe and create one of the most beloved Christmas movies of all time, I'd have probably though you were talking about Vince Vaughn lol. Kudos to Jon Favreau!
Honestly, off the top of my head, I can only think of Zendaya. Her parents were high school teachers.
Then, on the other side of the pond, where classicism is supposedly even more pervasive in acting circles to the point where even Dame Judi Dench has famously spoken out about it, I can only think of James McAvoy and Olivia Cooke as actors that come from a working-class background.
I have to goodbye now, BUT... THANK YOU ALL FOR THIS. Great great chat! Loved all your questions. Stay well, stay safe! Be Sunny.

Merry Christmas, y'all
I love Dwayne Johnson. I love Ryan Reynolds. I think Lin Manuel is doing important things. While it's not actually the case it FEELS like they are involved in every other movie release and I just don't want to watch their movies. Is this some kind of fatigue? Over-saturation? Are casting decisions based on the same focus groups?
EDIT: Great responses and thank you for the insight. I would have to agree with most here that it may be more about the lack of variety with their roles than with the actors themselves. Type casting is a thing and they keep doing the same thing as long as it pays dividends.
I am mostly upset that Edgertonβs performance wasnβt even recognized with a nomination considering that he actually sang in the movie. Taron crushed that performance. The Malek comparison is just there because he did less than Taron. Malek didnβt sing for his film and in that same year, beat out an actor that did sing (B. Cooper).
Just out of curiosity. What famous roles were enhanced by an actor not taking it to another level? I was thinking of Conan being a good example. Arnold being a fresh actor playing a more pensive, to the point warrior definitely helps more than hinders. I can't imagine Conan having much charisma and that's definitely for the best.
Some extra points after reading comments.
Yen being miss cast is something that a lot of people are bringing up. However I don't see this as a miss cast but a bad choice is her costume/makeup design. Look at how different Ciri is from S1 to S2. They could definitely adjust Yen to be older looking though costume and makeup choices. Furthermore, alot of what makes her seem immature is not a casting issue but rather a writing issue. If you watch Anya in interviews she seems more than capable of playing the character Yen should be, but she hasn't been given the chance. Her lack lf connection to the character (unlike Henry's knowledge) could mean she has less input on how she is portrayed more accurately.
One thing I would say is that if they swapped the appreance of age between Triss and Yen. There would be a lot less complaints about Yen as a character.
