I might want to do diety work with Veles but am a little hesitant because he is a trickster diety. however he is also known to be a great guardian and helper! I think wearing his symbol will be an indicator that I want to work with him, but im still not sure. also, how do I make sure its actually him and not a preying spirit?
I was hoping to hear some personal experiences from anyone who regards Veles/Volos/Weles as a deity they work with closely, and to share my experiences to reflect on them in a "group" setting, since I'm solitary.
Here's a collecion of my impressions/experiences so far; I keep seeing black animals (or even a black tree in one case!) in relation to him, but mostly a black snake. He seems to respond better when I offer him alcohol, then take a drink myself. His reaction is pretty instant if I say something incorrect, I once regarded him as the "king of sorcery", and his energy pretty much flat lined, because I don't think he identifies as such. Sometimes I feel like he is distant and won't talk to me, but other times he is very present and intense. He has a bit of a sexual energy, it might be because he is a "wild" God and it is an inherent charecteristic, but maybe I'm just imposing that aspect myself, (I'm especially interested if anyone else picked up on this, since I don't see anyone else talk about it). I've only ever seen him as black animals or as a young to middle aged man, never as an elder, which is his most common/traditional depiction. While in trance journeys he has bit into me several times (in animal form), he has also painted me with red pigment, mostly around my neck, chest and face. Whenever I communicate with him, it is often at the base of a huge tree under swirling clouds, sometimes the tree is stark white and dead. The clearest "visions" he gives me are always just what he wants as offerings, which is pretty funny, because I'll be focusing so hard, super excited to see the message he has for me and he's just like "cranberries", and I'm like...WTF? Why cranberries, those are a very American thing? He shows me red berries on a bush with flat leaves and says "cranberries" again, and I'm like, those aren't cranberries, but okay, you're the boss. (I think he wants something else, but that's the closest thing I know of/have access to, he's asked for them twice, so he must very much want them). I'm curious to see how anyone else's meditations/dreams/trances, match up or differ. He's an illusive figure in history and I don't see many personal accounts for his worship.
He is one of the prime gods of slavic mythology and I was wandering if anyone knows of any songs or music genres that match his personality/feel.

It's first caught by Alaskan fishing boat in 2006 Later Monarch was discovered this Titan and named it Titanus Veles it usually stay in Arctic but sometime it travel to Bering sea Hudson bay or Atlantic ocean also this titan is not attack human if they does not attack it in day time it sleeping in deep ocean until night time in this time it will wake up to hunt a fish for food when sometime appears on water surface to breath Veles it's rarely up on land and being caught by civilians
