A list of puns related to "Uprooted"
(Long)
First of all, let's get this out of the way:
AMITY WAS SO MCFRICKIN' GAY FOR LUZ IN THIS EPISODE HOLY COW.
Like, there were so many Lumity Moments in this and there was not NEARLY enough hype for this episode.
Luz was an oblivious moron like last episode, like, dude the girl is blushing like crazy and trip[ping over her words and you just go: Huh, guess I'll pick this girl up then, and don't even question it for a SECOND.
Ok, that's done for now, I may talk about some of these later but that's done for now.
For the A-Plot, It's interesting how they focused more on Luz doing things without asking her friends first if they wanted in, and learning to be more listening. They handled this pretty well, and remembered to keep Luz's almost inane selflessness. I expected it to be far more focusing on Amity and Willow's relationship. What we did get from Amity was still really great though.
On Boscha, I think she was one of the best handled parts of the episode. While she is very much an antagonist, and showed some very evil behaviour, her motivations were quite clearly expressed (Willow's confidence uprooting (pun unintended) the social hierarchy). I also really liked the sort of twist of Boscha and Amity not being the stereotypical Cheerleader girls, but instead the jocks, that part really amused me.
Amity is definitely part of the main gang now, though I wonder if her broken leg will come into play in the future. Maybe it will act as an excuse for her not to be in the finale for the school trip, because if anyone hurts Luz they would get their butt handed to them immediately if Amity is there. I really liked the line, "You just destroyed your social life!" "No, I think I improved it.", It's really clear that Amity really has changed. I hope Season 2 brings us more Amity and Willow friendship moments though, along with more development with Amity's crush.
Willow's newfound confidence is a really neat part of the episode. She stood up to Luz when Luz started getting overzealous in her want to be in an underdog sports movie, which while small, really shows her character development. I hope we get to see more of this. Also, her last name is canonically Park,
One of the only problems I have with this episode, and with the show at large, is that it keeps making Gus just a goofy side character. He's next to Amity and Willow in the opening! He should be more important! I really hope he gets some actual character in the finale or season 2.
I also reall

To start, context. Our D&D group for a while had two forever DMs, being That Guy and one I call the Hoontsman. For quite a while these two served well for our group, and when one got burnt out the other took over. That Guy's campaigns got wacky and were enjoyable until around mid-2020, meanwhile Hoontsman made large years long campaigns. Since both got burnt out and I wanted to put my hat in the ring and lighten the load for the two. Randomly thought of a campaign with a vampire epidemic and dragon gods, homebrewed classes and races (poorly), and got ready to be the DM for the first time.
And now, the whopping 5 minutes this campaign composed of. As always, starts off in a tavern; That Guy's psychic walks in and I have the bartender ask, "So son, what're you buyin'?" Without saying a word, That Guy pulls a Scanners and blows up the bartender's head. Seeing as this is my first session, I was a little stunned and didn't know how to respond to that. But before I could think of something, That Guy's character burns down the tavern and proceeds to use his psychic powers on the ground itself, uprooting the entire city, flipping it, and crashes it back down to earth. Now, what made this extra ridiculous was that he was merely Lv. 1 with no prior combat nor telling me how he would be using his psychic powers.
With that, I conceded and said, "We're done." After that, I was in no mood to continue this, at least for the day. That Guy, for seemingly no reason, destroyed the main city that would have been plot relevant and evolved from Murder Hobo to Genocide Hobo. Granted, probably not the best response and there could have been a million ways I should have solved it. But seeing as this was my first time, That Guy decided to make a character and force me to becoming a better DM by trial by fire. Then when I rightfully called bullshit because nothing on the class sheet said anything about this, That Guy claimed I was too vague and gave him wiggle room to do things like this. As I said, I'll admit my classes and races weren't that fleshed out nor fully explained their limitations. But I'm pretty sure that any psychic, especially at Lv. 1, should not be able to lift an entire city and flip it like a giant rock pancake.
Since then, I haven't DM'd again. Even with That Guy being kicked out, I still don't feel that I can make it work yet. I will

Forestcraft
Ironback Beetle
Mechaboomerang Elf
Intertwined Resolve
Elf Queen of Abundant Life
Ironglider Elf
Windfall Fay
Damian, Drillarm Brawler
Awakened Gaia.
A bit of a mixed one for Forest. Losing some critical cards like Elf queen, and intertwined resolve which FINALLY saw some usage. Also the last of the machine cards rotate out, nerfed fairly quickly as they turned out to be a bit too good. Gaia will also be a loss for potential control decks, but i am sure there will be other options.
Swordcraft
Gizmo Courier
Panther Scout
Levin Beastmaster
Gelt, Resolute Knight
Lady of the Lance
Stroke of Conviction
Grayson, Rocket Blader
Amelia, The Silverflash
Patrick, Rhiceros Knight
Most of the cards here only saw brief usage with only Stroke of Conviction and the Amelia+Gelt pair seeing any long term usage in Sword. That said, they will be a big hit for Sword, the aggressive decks will be sad to see stroke go, and more midranged/control decks will be sad to see Amelia/Gelt go. That said, the rotation should still open up for fresh cards to help the class.
Runecraft
Spellbinder's Prepration
Earth Sorceress
Vergewalker Magician
Sorcery in solidarity
Stormelementalist
Mystic Absorption
Daria Infinity Witch
Aethereal Golem
Regalore, Steel Chimera.
Once more many cards that only saw brief usage. But overall biggest losses here will be Sorcery in Solidarity which represented a very good tutor for the class and Daria.. and Earth Rite receives another kick while it's already down
Dragoncraft
Scalebound Plight
Rockback Ankylosaurus
Steelcap Pachycephalosaurus
Rola, Inferno Dragoon
Steelstorm Dragonewt
Dragonfolk's Wail
Cursed Furor
Dragoon Medic
Shipsbane Plesiosaurus
Jerva, Wyrm Transcendent.
Quite a few losses here. Biggest one is Cursed Furor which is just an amazing ramp card and hard removal. But Discard Dragon takes a big blow and this could very well be the end of the archetype for now. Beyond that, Jerva will be a loss for Face Dragon decks which did run him.
Shadowcraft
Triscythe Reaper
Jackshovel Gravedigger
Gremory, Death Teller
Ghastly Assault
Beastly Medium
Sarcophagus wraith
Fatal Order
Nightmare Devourer
Friends Fore

When his mother called him, Masters went to her house to find his mother in her bedroom trying to escape but the window was locked and obstructed by a tree. Masters was able to uproot the tree with his bare hands by bear hugging it and then using it to smash the window, allowing his mother to escape. Police arrested the neighbor. Link is below:
