Why is it that when you're job hunting if you go to the website there are no locations or positions nearby, but when you drive up to the place they tell you they have positions open?
I have a resume and cover letter. Are they lying, being lazy, or don't care? I honestly wanna know because this happens all the time where I live. Drive up to a place and the front desk rep immediately tells me to go to the website. Go to the website and nothings there. How else am I supposed to branch out of retail and warehouse if nobody is giving me a chance? It's frustrating and hopeless like I'm gonna be stuck like everyone else comfortable with their lives and not wanting better in life.

Once you focused a deck, where do you go from there to make it better?
I understand this is a super broad question and it might be aimed at much more competitive players. That said, what makes a deck more consistent besides redundancy? Is it more interaction in order to ensure your stuff goes though? Or is it faster, better mana to help you get your stuff out sooner? At the casual level my decks are performing too well, but when I decide to try against our cEDH players at our LGS even my best deck(Muldrotha Attrition) is just unable to slow them down, let alone generate enough value before someone combos off.
A majority of my decks are from the Commander's Quarters, but all have been long since upgraded from my collection by anywhere between $100-$200. Of all of them, I'd say two are a solid 8, and the rest are probably about a 6 in terms of the power scale people often use here. Do some decks, under certain commanders just lack the potential to get stronger after a specific value point? Is making a deck "competitive" super black and white, in that if you do or don't have the top eschelon of powerful cards it determines its viability at the upper levels of play?
