A list of puns related to "The Pelican Brief"
I can't help it, I've lost the ONE thing I always had for the show, if I was interested or not, I always had Respect for his points of view. I've kinda lost the regard for him now.
Marci Turk is a symptom of the problem, not the cause. Howard ruined the show, she didn't swoop in and change him or lead him down this "evolved" path.
Tim Sabean was forced out because Howard was yearning for order over the spontaneity that made the show great. With Shitgate and the general chaos of the show at the time, you could see Howard was at his wits end with Tim, which we already knew led to Marci. But it was hammered home for me by how many times he talked about accountability, metrics, "it's gonna happen," etc. Seemed like Howard was pushing for a more formal set up and Tim just wasn't making it happen.
The staff are viewed as nothing but tools to Howard, a means to an end. The way he talked insultingly about their appearance, shouted at them, made continual comments about them not having a job if his plan wasn't successful, they just seem to mean absolutely nothing to him. Zero chance he paid any of those medical bills for Scott's wife. And no wonder he throws away the news team and tv guys without even a goodbye.
The old school staff must know what a sham the show is. Are they too scared to leave and get trashed? On autopilot mentally and emotionally? Perhaps some not talented enough to land elsewhere? It's crazy to me that none have left the six years since.
Curious to their reactions.
I watched the video and had a few observations and questions
Why is he berating the staff like they arenβt doing enough? If they are just learning about the new 2013 strategy to book guests why is he acting like they should have been doing this already? Also, why does he expect comedy writers to help book guests. Canβt he hire some professionals or is he too cheap?
Despite the new strategy he still hasnβt landed Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Rush Limbaugh, Rickey Martin or Eddie Vedder
The Howard news team and TV crew have since been fired so I guess the 2013 strategy didnβt work.
He slams Jon Stewartβs show for how he was treated when he went on
He was scratching his head and chest frequently while presenting. He moves around like someone who is 75 years old
His PowerPoint skills or whoever put it together was weak. He also read from the slides too much with his back to the audience
Did Marci Turk start with the show in 2013?
Where is part 2?
People said that Howard TV was ended and everyone let go roughly two months after the brief.
I don't know the details about official reason Howard TV was ended.
I'm wondering if that was a surprise to Howard or if he was the one who decided to end Howard TV or if it was higher ups in Sirius or what?
It seems weird to me because in the brief he addresses Howard TV as though they were a solid part of his organization with no indication they would soon be let go.
Then I'm wondering was ending Howard TV related to the brief in the sense that they failed to deliver on any of the new responsibilities during those two months?
This all goes back to how cheap Howard is. Instead of shelling out money for people to actually contact people, he expects his staff to do it for him... High Pitch Mike, youβre gay contact gay people... Richard your from Kansas call Brad Pitt, but Pittβs from Missouri... doesnβt matter.... Sal youβre Italian, call Al Pacino... he diluted all his channels, made his once awesome show as vanilla as can be... the guy is his own worst enemy
So I was searching for the Pelican Brief after reading about it on here, but it looks like the video turned private. I was hoping someone could DM me the link or just provide a rundown here if possible, as I can't seem to find a synopsis either.
Thank you!!!

2 games back behind Memphis. Possible Laker - Pelicans series? Can r/nba handle this?
They now have Lonzo, Brandon Ingram, will draft Zion, and whoever they pick with the 4th pick
After last night's draft, the Pelicans have turned AD into Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Jaxson Hayes (8th Pick), Nickeil Alexander-Walker (17th pick), Marcos Louzada Silva (35th pick), 2021 LA pick, 2023 Swap, 2024 or 2025 pick, and a Solomon Hill salary dump. Unbelievable. Kawhi Laugh

The Pelicans, in my humble opinion, should sign Kyle OβQuinn in free agency and draft LaMelo Ball in the 2020 nba draft. That would make their team the whole package.
Looks like Zion is missing his estimated return window. Way to go Aaron Nelson.
Alright, well... I really miss Baynes. Like more than I miss Ayton. And I miss Ayton a lot.
Let's hope for a bounce back game.
