I recently watched again the film, The Bodyguard with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. An entertaining film with a great soundtrack that was made in 1992. However, I was surprised to see that in the final scenes of the film, Houston's character is at the Oscars collecting an award for best actress.
Now I know it’s a work of fiction but this can’t be realistic can it? A film made in 1992 depicting a black actress winning an Oscar, that’s just not possible. I was under the impression from all the BS spouted about the Black Panther movie and from the mouths of Jada Smith and Spike Lee, that even in ’92 Blacks were still being victimised, marginalised and ignored.
A mainstream film from the early 90's advancing the notion that a black female actress could win an Oscar? This shouldn’t be classified as a simple and popular romance action film but something in the pantheon of ground breaking civil rights movie. Or maybe it was some kind of implausible, futuristic Sci-fi film?
Or of course maybe we aren’t living in the racist state, and haven’t been for some years now, that the self validating BLM would have the world believe. It’s like, you know, we moved on years ago but they don’t want to recognise it because their existence would be irrelevant – just a thought.

Does anyone else think Jane and that bodyguard had more chemistry in 5 minutes than Jane and Scott had in all their episodes together?
I implore unto thee another hypothetical! My mind works in weird ways, so I was thinking about what types of demons the girls would have as bodyguards. I was primarily thinking of Baphomet and her using Barons of Hell as bodyguards, but I want to know what you think. You can chose demons from any medium, be it game, movie, or book, but it has to be a demon from Hell. Have fun!
EDIT: I may have forgotten about Azazel in my "infinite wisdom." If you want to give her a bodyguard, then it can be of heavenly origin.
Alright, so I was watching AoTC and I think that the decision to have Anakin be Padme's bodyguard alone, as a Padawan, was profoundly stupid. They knew that he had a history with Padme, and they probably sensed his feelings towards her, too. They also knew that he was arrogant and had anger and resentment in him, along with the stuff with his mother and the nightmares. So why'd they do it? Aren't there hundreds of other Jedi that exist at this point in the timeline, who would probably be much better to handle something like this?
